“Stavroula has been great! She communicates well and sends me several pictures of my dog Winston doing his business. I actually have two dogs. Winston was just adopted on Christmas Eve and he's a little over a year old. He isn't fully housebroken due to being found as a stray. When she gets here to let him out, he and my other dog Benson get pretty excited. She deals with their mayhem without complaint. I definitely recommend her!”

“Emmalyn took a last-minute request and saved the day! She was punctual, stayed over time to make sure one of my dogs would poop before she left, and was communicative. Definitely recommend!”

I look forward to meeting you and your furry friend! I've structured my days to prioritize pet care. I believe in consistent routines for animals, so I create a schedule that includes regular feeding times, exercise, and playtime. I'm also very adaptable and can easily adjust my routine to meet the specific needs of each pet. Whether it's administering medication or providing extra cuddles, I'm committed to providing attentive and reliable care. During drop-in visits, I focus on providing essential care, including feeding, watering, and bathroom breaks. About: I have always had my own dogs, mostly big dogs and cats. I’m loving to all pets. I can give medications if needed. I love to play and walk them. I’ve helped two female dogs give birth, and taken care of the 9 puppies for 8 weeks. I like to teach dogs and to reward them for good behavior. I can provide feeding time and if needed I can do house training. I love taking pictures and would love to send you pictures and videos through out the day. I have plenty of room in my home with a fenced in front and backyard. I have a Full empty basement for playtime with lots of toys. And a minivan that holds lots of dogs to take to the doggie park.
About: I’ve raised my mini-golden doodle of 8 years from when he was 2 months old. I’ve trained him to potty outside & all the main tricks. He’s well behaved & gentle. That’s why many of my friends have trusted me with caring for their pets. Whether that be checking in to feed them, walk them, play with them, or even lightly train them. My friends think I’m a dog whisperer. I’m currently doing a career change & study for my Illinois real estate license. My availability is completely open and flexible at this time. Let me know what your needs are! I care for dogs in a way that respects their routine, their boundaries, and keep things clean and in order. Whether it be from dog sitting overnight, I have a keen ear to puppies and when they’re up to something or know when they need to go out to potty in the middle of the night. Any other type of care will be simply respecting your home rules & how you like your pet to be handled or trained along the way.
About: I’ve lived with dogs my entire life. Everything from labs, adopted mutts, terriers, vizslas, poodles, goldendoodles, big, medium, and small. I have yet to meet a breed that I can't whisper to. While my profile on Rover is new, I have been walking and house-sitting dogs on the side for years, for neighbors in the area and a small network of family friends I've kept up since middle school. Additionally, I am a serious runner and regularly put in 20-30 miles a week. If you have a Vizsla, Greyhound, Weimaraner, or any other high-energy breed that needs a run to blow off some steam, please reach out! I’d love to take them out with me on the trails. Primarily, I serve the West Suburbs, West Loop, and North Side neighborhoods; I currently reside in the Oak Park area, and attend the UIC campus on Harrison and Halsted. Please note: To ensure the absolute best and safest care for your pup, I do require a quick Meet & Greet before accepting any first-time bookings Looking forward to hearing from you. I am currently in summer school at UIC, and will be in class from 8am to noon on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, so your dog would be alone for about 4 hours on those days. Before I leave, they will get a good walk, and when I'm back they'll spend the rest of the day with me doing homework, tutoring, or getting outside for a walk or run. I always treat every dog like my own. I make sure they are secure, comfortable, get all the pets and treats they need, and are never alone longer than necessary. You will also receive daily updates along the way, so you'll always know how they're doing.

About: Hello! I’m a recent college graduate and a devoted pet lover working from a home office. I offer reliable, flexible, and high-quality care for your furry family members, ensuring they feel loved, safe, and entertained while you are away. My Pet Care Experience My passion for animal care is rooted in a lifetime of experience with both dogs and cats. I am currently the proud owner of three cats with unique needs: Stomy (my rescued Orange Tabby) taught me patience, Sheba (my Highlander Lynx) keeps me active with high-energy play, and Atticus (my Siamese) taught me the importance of constant social engagement. In addition to my cats, I have extensive experience with dogs. Until recently, I was a dedicated owner to three rescued dogs who passed away peacefully last year. Caring for them, especially in their golden years, gave me deep experience with senior pet care, administering medication, and providing the gentle, compassionate support that older or shy animals need. Whether you have an energetic puppy or a slow-moving senior, I have the hands-on experience to make them feel safe and comfortable. Services & Activities I Provide When I visit your home, my goal is to keep your pet's routine consistent and stress-free. My drop-in visits and house-sitting services include: * Feeding & Hygiene: Adhering strictly to feeding schedules, refreshing water bowls, cleaning litter boxes, and picking up waste. * Enrichment & Exercise: For cats, this means interactive play to burn off energy. For dogs, this includes stimulating walks, fetch, or backyard playtime. * Safety & Home Care: As a pet owner, I am hyper-aware of "door dashers." I practice strict safety protocols when entering and exiting to prevent escapes. I also bring in mail, water plants, and ensure your home is left tidy and secure. * Updates: You will receive detailed updates and high-quality photos after every visit, so you never have to wonder how your pet is doing. My Schedule & Availability Because I work remotely from my home office, my schedule is my biggest asset for your peace of mind. Unlike sitters with rigid 9-to-5 commutes, I have open flexibility throughout the day. * I can easily accommodate mid-day drop-ins, early mornings, or evening visits. * I am available for last-minute requests if your plans change. * I have the time to stay a little longer if your pet seems lonely or needs extra cuddles. I understand that inviting a sitter into your home requires a great deal of trust. I treat every pet I meet with the same affection I give my own crew, and I treat your home with the utmost respect. My schedule: FLEXIBLE I currently work remotely from my home office, providing me with open availability throughout the week. Because I am home-based, I am highly reliable and able to commit to specific time slots that suit your pet's feeding and medication schedule. I have the freedom to step away from my desk to ensure your pets get the quality time and attention they deserve, exactly when they need it. Safety begins the moment I unlock your door. As a cat dad to three active felines, I am hyper-aware of "door darters" and curious paws. I practice a strict "look down before you step" policy and always double-check that doors and windows are securely latched before leaving. inside the home, I keep a close eye on your cat’s health and mood, ensuring they are eating, using the litter box normally, and engaging comfortably. I also make sure to leave your home exactly as I found it—tidy, secure, and peaceful.
“Jennetta is so caring and loving toward our anxious pup. Our dog could tell right away that Jennetta is a friend and would provide safety and love. Looking forward to our next visit!”

“Arina was very communicative and so patient with multiple issues that popped up on her visit (absolutely no fault of hers!). She stayed extra with my dogs without being asked and provided plenty of videos and pictures.”

About: I have hands-on experience raising two Doberman Pinschers back home in Nigeria, and I also spend time with my best friend’s Golden Doodle here in the U.S. Through these experiences, I’ve learned the importance of patience, consistency, and attentiveness when it comes to caring for dogs. Even though I don’t currently have a dog of my own, I treat every pet as if they were mine—making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I’m also mindful of following routines, giving plenty of exercise, and paying attention to each dog’s unique personality and needs. I’d be honored to help care for your furry family member, and I look forward to building trust with both you and your pet. I work full time, but I’m available for pet care on my WFH days, evenings, and weekends. I make sure every visit includes attention, exercise, and lots of love, keeping pets happy and cared for while their owners are away. Pets in my home enjoy a safe, comfortable space with supervised play in my fenced yard and crate time when needed. On client visits, I follow routines closely—feeding, walks, and play—so every pet feels happy, secure, and well cared for.
About: I had 2 Labradors for about 3 years, a Dachshund for 4 (when i was younger) and lived in Chicago then i moved to California in 2015. The places i stayed out here prohibited animals evidently, so i would find alot of joy in taking care of my close friends dogs and neibors . i would often go over to play with her and take her walks just for the utter joy of it. i am a very caring, compassionate animal lover of all kinds and would enjoy to do what i love most :)I have experience with animals and my own pets for over 10 years. My family and i raised dogs and cats in our homes since I could remember. I was always the one stealing my mother's tuna to give to the Stray Cats finding litters of kittens in the backyard rescuing injured birds, ever since I was a child I had a curiosity for animals. I enjoy the company of my animals and maintain my responsibility of taking care of my pets every single day. I have dealt with many different breeds of dogs and cat to understand them on a personal level and their nature and behavior. I truly love my animals I feel that I naturally connect with dogs and cats totally. Currently my small pet family consists of a 6 month old black and white tabby cat and a 3 year old small white terrier listen to get along with very well. I give my pets regular exercise and walks. My pets all have their shots and vaccinations there is no doubt that these are more than just animals to me they become family and a priority. I would be honored to extend my helpfulness and experience to others by doing something that I enjoy and passionate about.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - West Garfield Park
Erica is the best!! She shared plenty of photos and I could tell my dog was smiling and happy in them during their walks together. She was very communicative and accommodating to my schedule. She asked a lot of questions to get to know my dog better, basically everything you would want in a trustworthy companion for my doggo, we’re very grateful.

Oleksandra was great! My girl sassy was tired and happy when I came home. I know they had some great playtime together and sassy was super comfortable with her, which is hard! Sassy can be very shy. She’s high energy but still shy and coming home to a tired happy dog is wonderful. Thanks oleksandra!!!

Jessica was great with walking and caring for our pups, Lily and Dawson, and we can't thank her enough for her help! She responded almost immediately to our very last-minute request and followed all of our care instructions without any issues. We hope to be able to book her again anytime that we need care for our dogs!
