“Jessica is wonderful! She has been very patient with our young, energetic (and sometimes poorly behaved) pit bull. She also has been patient with me, my husband, and our frequently changing schedule. Thank you for being so great and dependable!”

“This was the first time we have used a dog walker and Coleen did a great job for us. Gave us great updates and took really good care of our two dogs. Definitely will be booking her in the future again”

“Maria was very nice and did great with our sometimes-high-strung dog. He liked her immediately and was happy to go for a walk with her even though he sometimes has separation anxiety. We're planning to book with her again.”

“Desiree! So fantastic. Really flexible, willing to help us out last minute. Spent a good amount of time snuggling, playing with our doggo when we introduced them. She's clearly in tune with animals and didn't show any fear for our big lug. Thanks, Desiree! You'll be hearing from us again. ♥️”

About: I’m pet lover with a degree in animal behavior looking to help you care for your furry friends! I love spending time with animals and have found ways to incorporate that into my professional and personal life. I’ve worked as a bather at a grooming salon, provided daily care for all the animals at a livestock and pet rescue organization, and as a behavior intern for dogs at an animal shelter. These jobs have given me years of hands on experience caring for a wide variety of animals including dogs, cats, cows, and horses. I’ve also had experience providing basic grooming services, like nail-clipping and ear cleaning, and using positive reinforcement training for behavior modification in dogs. I have bachelors degrees in Biology and Psychology and a PhD in Animal Behavior. I also have personal experience caring for my own pets, cats, hamsters, a turtle, and a dog, and regularly pet sitting for friends. All of these skills give me the background knowledge and experience to give your pet the best possible care while you’re away! I’m currently working with a variable schedule so I have plenty of time to spend with your pets! I’m generally available afternoons and evenings but check my calendar because my schedule changes! Your pet’s safety is the most important thing to me. I pride myself on having clear and frequent communication with pet owners while I’m taking care of their pets and I will keep you updated with pictures and updates at least once per visit!
“Sam was a life saver-she responded last minute to care for my dog. Came by for several walks and was very good with my baby. I would recommend Sam with flying colors. Thank you so much!”

“Stacy has been walking my dog Mavis for over a month now. She is a great communicator, prompt, follows instructions great! And she just loves my dog :) I know my baby is in good hands when she comes over for walks.”

“Great experience from the start. Immediately received friendly response from Bentley. Definitely a professional who knows the right questions to ask and make you feel comfortable that they have the skills you need.”

“Stavroula was a good communicator and I really appreciated her accepting my last minute booking. I like that she took pictures of my dog during their walks. I can tell Izzy liked her too… he seemed confused that she left after the walk instead of staying to hang out 😂”

About: I have loved dogs since I got my first pup, a chihuahua, when I was 12. My family and neighbors were surprised that a middle schooler could do such a good job of taking care of a dog that they started to entrust me with their own pets. Ever since then, I have taken care of a range of dogs from teacups to German shepherds as well as cats and birds! I currently have a part-time work-from-home job while I apply to grad school. Pet care works best with my schedule during early morning and evening hours as well as on weekends. I care for pets in a client's home by not trying to diverge them from their everyday schedule with their owner. For instance, if the pet usually gets treats or has exercise/play time at a specific time, I would stick to that schedule. Also, I try to create trust with dogs with appropriate treats, of course!
“Malcomn has been really great with my two dogs, Fred and Rosie. They are both big dogs with a lot of quirks, but he handles it all professionally and is super friendly. I appreciate how he’s always on time and communicates well. I needed him to come daily for a while after having surgery, and he was able to make it happen every day for several weeks. I appreciated the commitment and we’re going to set up regular walks going forward.”

“Dylan has been such a positive and reliable presence for my pups. He always communicates promptly, is flexible, and my pups get super excited to see him. I’m so grateful for the peace of mind I get knowing Dylan will be taking them out during the day.”

About: I have dog sat many of times and even trained to become a service dog volunteer. I have dog sat for a few month old puppies to 14 year old dogs. My days are flexible, I work from home and love taking walks around the neighborhood during lunch break and after work. I have a wood turtle that likes to keep to himself in the terrarium, and most dogs and cats don't even know he is there. When I am pet sitting, I plan events and out of home activities, so I am no more than 3-4 hours away from the animals. I am very attentive to dogs needs. We play inside and go on walks around the neighborhood or go to Palmer Square or Humboldt park. I stick strictly to dog owner schedule and make sure to send owner updates! I live in a two-bedroom apartment on the second floor so the dog would have to be ok mobility wise with stairs to and from the building.
About: Hi, I’m Abby! Neighbors, friends and family have trusted me to take care of their pets while away. I’m trustworthy, safe and reliable. I follow all directions given, and communicate well. I’m currently working part-time, so I have plenty of time to walk, take care and play with your pet while you’re away. My schedule is pretty flexible. I make sure your pets are in safe areas and I follow all directions given to me. I care for them like they are my own, and respect your home and space.
“Anana was available last minute when I had an emergency trip and was a life saver! She was incredibly communicative, always kept us up to date with the walk card and pictures, and was wonderful for Tully while we were gone! We absolutely would recommend her for your pet car needs.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Austin
We are a repeat customer with Maria, who did twice a day walks for a week while we were out of town and our dog was being cared for by a family member who was unable to do walks. Our dog loved Maria and always excitedly waited for her arrival. She was very communicative and flexible when plans needed to change to work around inclement weather. Would definitely work with her again.

Shannon took great care walking our dog, who can be stubborn. She was patient with him and gave him lots of pets and encouragement, and over time he became more cooperative. She was also flexible with timing and is easy to work with. He said to give her five stars.

Maya is the BEST! I had an event to attend and she made sure my baby was taken care of through out the whole day! She stopped by twice , took Chuco on 2 walks and even feed him dinner for me! I couldn’t be more grateful. My dog, Chuco, is always in a better mood when he gets to spend time with Maya!

I have a 100lb Doberman and Josh walks him daily. He handles Zeus comfortably and confidently which was important to me given his size. He is extremely communicative providing clear and quick responses. Scheduling him has put my mind at ease while we’re at work to ensure my dog gets the exercise he needs. Highly recommend!

James did a great job with my dog, Daisy! He walked her once on Thursday and twice on Saturday, and everything went really smoothly. He was always on time, friendly, and clearly comfortable with her. Daisy currently has an injured knee, so she needs limited activity, and James was very attentive to that. He listened to my instructions and took great care of her. I also appreciated the updates and photos through the Rover app after each visit—it gave me peace of mind. I felt very comfortable with James and will definitely be booking him again!
