About: I've grown up with a wide range of different dogs, with a range of different sizes and temperaments. In highschool adopted and trained a of my own, and because of my experience as a pet owner my extended family started to pay me to dog sit their pets, and they recommended me to their friends. When I moved out to Chicago my work made me too busy to own a dog myself, but now during the off season I have heaps of time and I miss having a furry friend around! I currently work from home, and so I'll be able to tend to your dog at all times of the day, making keeping their routine easy for me and your pup. I don't often have to leave the house for long periods of time, even with errands, but if I ever do I have roommates around who can make sure your dog doesn't feel lonely. I work from home currently and so your pup won't have to be alone when they visit with me. We don't have a yard, but our block has plenty of greenery and a handful of parks within a short distance of my house. My roommate has a cat as well, and she grew up with dogs before moving here and they've always gotten along really well. But she mostly sticks to my roommates room as she's prefers her own company over the company of others. I've got a big room I'm perfectly happy to share, so if your pup gets anxious alone at night you won't have to worry. They'll also have access to the living room throughout the day and night, so if they need some alone time in a new environment they'll be able to relax on our couch. With such an open schedule, if your pup needs to eat, go out, or get medication at a certain time we'll be able to make sure their routine doesn't get disrupted during their stay.

About: My childhood household always included dogs and cats—at this point, pet care is second nature for me. I value each pet's unique personality and needs, and of course enjoy their company. You can typically find me befriending cats on the sidewalk during my daily walks & making a beeline for the host's dog at any party. My current apartment unfortunately does not allow pets so I'd love to scratch that itch through spending time with yours :) I have extensive experience caring for dogs and cats, including those needing a higher level of care. My past petsits include a two-month stint living with a toothless cat while his humans were on a climbing expedition; a month spent with a menagerie of three cats and two dogs during an Arizonan summer; walking (as well as feeding, watering, and lightly grooming) my friend's reactive wolfhound when he's out of town; and most recently, caring for another friend's two cats while one had an infection requiring various medications and isolation from the other cat. I'm comfortable providing any care your pet needs ❤️ I'm currently unemployed & seeking another role—the upside of this is that my schedule is open and very flexible at this time. I live in Avondale so I can easily reach pets in Logan Square, Irving Park, Lincoln Square, Albany Park, Belmont Craigin, and any other neighborhood accessible by the Blue Line, Kimball, Belmont, Pulaski, or Diversey bus lines. I'm a big believer in reviewing instructions and asking clarifying questions. I always request an information write-up from pet owners ahead of meeting their pet & ask about anything I'm unsure of. I particularly make sure to ask if the pet is upset by anything, if they have any favorite toys, and if there's any petting spots I should avoid or be sure to hit.

About: I’ve taken care of neighbor’s, friend’s, and family’s dogs since I was in high school. I’ve watched after cats with varying temperaments and personalities as well as puppies, seniors, large, and small dogs of a variety of breeds. I love taking dogs on walks and having playtime with pets, and will be sure to give your pet the attention they need while you are away! I have a 5.5 year old terrier mix named Harriet that I’ve raised and trained since she was a puppy and she is my best friend. I will be sure to treat your pet how I would want my Harriet to be treated! I work remotely from home with flexible hours, so I will be able to step out throughout the day to check in on any pets or take dogs on a walk or have playtime! I would love to love on your special friend and take good care of them:) lgbtq discount offered please just ask :) I have open availability on Monday-friday for walks, visits, and overnight sits. I am available on the weekends from 12-5pm. I am best reached two days in advance or more, but am open to same day as well. Slow and patient is my motto. I'm very attuned to body language and do not want to overstimulate the animal. I place a lot of trust that parents know their babies best and will come in asking lots of questions about how best to provide care, so that I come in knowing how to make my visits happy, fun, safe, and successful!
