“Grace was super patient and wonderful with our excitable Bernese puppy! He loves her so much and helped work on his training during their walks. She is extremely capable with large dogs!”

“Went above and beyond. Couldn’t be happier. Best rover experience I’ve had and I’ve had a lot of them. Even brought in my packages from the mail room. Thank you so much!”

“Excellent walker. He’s good at winning over stubborn dogs. Reliable and good with the small touches most dog walkers miss like wiping paws if your dog gets them muddy. High recommend him. He’ll take good care of your pooch.”

About: I’ve been around cats and dogs since I was born and I wouldn’t want it any other way! In addition to growing up in a home with pets and always taking a great joy and interest in caring for them, I spent the entirety of my college years and beyond taking side jobs pet-sitting in my community. During that time, I worked for a dozen families, typically staying in the home rather than doing drop-ins. I’ve worked with cats and dogs of many different breeds, ages, sizes, and levels of activity and I am very comfortable connecting with them and adapting to their needs. Having recently gone on vacation and left my own pets in the care of a sitter for the first time, I have a new found appreciation for the trust we put in caregivers to provide reliable service and to value the wellbeing of our pets as much as we do. I have very flexible and often remote work hours, so I can easily adapt to your routine and ensure your pet’s day looks as familiar as possible. I can provide drop in or in home care for your pet(s). I am very detail oriented and closely follow my client’s instructions for how they care for their pets and home. Leaving our pets in the care of someone else can cause them stress, and I prioritize maintaining their current schedule and spending as much time as possible with them to help mitigate potential separation anxiety.
“Kyliegh was super responsive, friendly, and communicative. And she must've done something right with Banjo, because based on her report he was even better behaved with her than he is with me!”

“Maya takes the best photos of our pup and is always willing to go above and beyond for Archer the Spy to make sure he is well taken care of. We are so grateful to get to work with her!”

“Kerlly is the best!! Our dog can be nervous sometimes and took to her right away. She comes twice a week to walk our dog and from the photos she provides I can tell they have become fast friends. Feel very lucky to have found her!!”

About: I've taken care of dogs since I was 14 years old. I understand that's dogs are just not pets, their family. I've looked over pets for family and friends, and patient with dogs who learning! I'm currently applying for graduate, so I have a lot of downtime to spend it with your pets! I'm available weekdays and weekends! If you need to change your schedule last minute, I can accommodate! I provide hourly updates on your pets or the timing of choosing. I can create a calming presence for your pets and help them feel comfortable.
“Michele is such a kind and caring walker. She goes above and beyond asking questions to give love specific to him. She also responds very quickly and has helped me on a few last minute occasions!”

About: Having a dog is something truly special, and I understand how difficult it can be to leave your fur baby with someone new. That's why I treat every dog in my care as if they were my own. I have over 5 years of experience caring for dogs and currently have a Doberman mix myself. I've worked with puppies, senior dogs, and reactive dogs, so I understand that every dog has different needs, personalities, and comfort levels. My first dog was a rescue who was reactive to other dogs, which taught me how to recognize their body language, respect their boundaries, and help them feel safe. Whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, roughhousing, learning simple tricks, cuddling on the couch, or even adventures at the forest preserve, I'm happy to match their energy. I don't mind getting in the water, taking fun photos, or making sure they get plenty of attention and affection while you're away. I'm also comfortable administering medication when needed, including dogs that can be stubborn about taking it. I know firsthand how important it is to make sure pets receive the care they need. Dogs have always been a source of comfort and happiness in my life. Pet sitting doesn't feel like a job to me, it's something I genuinely enjoy. I understand the worries that come with leaving your dog behind, and my goal is to make both you and your pet feel comfortable, confident, and cared for. Your dog's safety, happiness, and well-being will always be my top priority. I am available for overnight stays and have experience handling multiple dogs at once. Whether your dog is a tiny lap dog or a giant breed, I'm excited to meet them. The bigger the dog, the better! I’m currently working part time babysitting for any ages. Only Friday but otherwise im free most day and thought why not fill it up with fur babies. At the moment I dont have any room for another dog, truly sorry about that but im more than happy to stay overnight or find another solution
About: I've grown up with a wide range of different dogs, with a range of different sizes and temperaments. In highschool adopted and trained a of my own, and because of my experience as a pet owner my extended family started to pay me to dog sit their pets, and they recommended me to their friends. When I moved out to Chicago my work made me too busy to own a dog myself, but now during the off season I have heaps of time and I miss having a furry friend around! I currently work from home, and so I'll be able to tend to your dog at all times of the day, making keeping their routine easy for me and your pup. I don't often have to leave the house for long periods of time, even with errands, but if I ever do I have roommates around who can make sure your dog doesn't feel lonely. I work from home currently and so your pup won't have to be alone when they visit with me. We don't have a yard, but our block has plenty of greenery and a handful of parks within a short distance of my house. My roommate has a cat as well, and she grew up with dogs before moving here and they've always gotten along really well. But she mostly sticks to my roommates room as she's prefers her own company over the company of others. I've got a big room I'm perfectly happy to share, so if your pup gets anxious alone at night you won't have to worry. They'll also have access to the living room throughout the day and night, so if they need some alone time in a new environment they'll be able to relax on our couch. With such an open schedule, if your pup needs to eat, go out, or get medication at a certain time we'll be able to make sure their routine doesn't get disrupted during their stay.
“Vanessa was so great caring for my puppy on a long workday. She’s very communicative and showed my reactive dog patience while still allowing her to get some outside time.”

“Leslie is amazing you can tell she is super passionate about animals and is very loving with my dog! Her updates after the walks are also hilarious and they make my day!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Hermosa
Erica is the best!! She shared plenty of photos and I could tell my dog was smiling and happy in them during their walks together. She was very communicative and accommodating to my schedule. She asked a lot of questions to get to know my dog better, basically everything you would want in a trustworthy companion for my doggo, we’re very grateful.

Sophia is the absolute best, I could not recommend her more. This is the second booking she’s looked after our puppy Poppy and she’s been fabulous every time. Poppy was spayed 3 days ago, and Sophia got her to take all her pills (no small feat as our girl is very squirmy) and is incredibly patient, caring, and attentive. We are so thrilled to know Sophia and she is our go-to for puppy care.
