I’m Maya, and I have 6+ years of experience volunteering with various rescue organizations, and additionally I have 2+ years of experience petsitting for households with over 5 cats and 5 dogs! I specialize in cats, but I love dogs just the same! There’s nothing I can’t handle—and trust me, I’ve seen a lot! A little about me—I have two cats of my own, Pharoah and Cleo, and I’m a certified crazy cat lady since birth. I’ll go above and beyond to make sure all your pets bedding, toys, litter boxes, and foodbowls are spotless by the time you return home. I currently work part-time in hospitality, so I have plenty of time to make sure your furbabies receive the care and love they deserve. Thursday and Saturday are my free days, and I can devote all my attention on those days to your babies. The remainder of the week, I begin work at 3pm-10pm, and I would love to check in on your pets before and after work. Just let me know your needs and I can work with you and take time off if you’re looking on going on a vacation. I know how to handle pets. Trust me—I’ve seen a lot. I’ve dealt with both gentle and more aggressive breeds and know how to keep your pet safe and calm. If your pet needs crating, just let me know. If your pet has a special routine it needs before bedtime, I’d love to help out. Whatever your pet needs, I’m more than qualified to assist with.

About: I've had dogs since I was born, and pet-sat frequently for neighbors and friends throughout adolescence, high school, and college. I've house-sat and done daily feeding and potty breaks for cats and dogs! In college, I lived with cats, and my current roommate has a cat whom I help care for on occasion. I have experience with cats and dogs of all ages and sizes, and it brings me so much joy to spend time with pets and make sure they're happy and cared for. I recently moved to the city and have an open schedule and flexibility for the rest of the summer to play with and care for your pets! Come the end of August, I will begin a flexible substitute teaching job, but will still be available in the mornings, evenings, weekends, and some weekdays to care for pets. I'm detail-oriented, trustworthy, and reliable as a human being and as a sitter and walker! About: I've grown up with a wide range of different dogs, with a range of different sizes and temperaments. In highschool adopted and trained a of my own, and because of my experience as a pet owner my extended family started to pay me to dog sit their pets, and they recommended me to their friends. When I moved out to Chicago my work made me too busy to own a dog myself, but now during the off season I have heaps of time and I miss having a furry friend around! I currently work from home, and so I'll be able to tend to your dog at all times of the day, making keeping their routine easy for me and your pup. I don't often have to leave the house for long periods of time, even with errands, but if I ever do I have roommates around who can make sure your dog doesn't feel lonely. I work from home currently and so your pup won't have to be alone when they visit with me. We don't have a yard, but our block has plenty of greenery and a handful of parks within a short distance of my house. My roommate has a cat as well, and she grew up with dogs before moving here and they've always gotten along really well. But she mostly sticks to my roommates room as she's prefers her own company over the company of others. I've got a big room I'm perfectly happy to share, so if your pup gets anxious alone at night you won't have to worry. They'll also have access to the living room throughout the day and night, so if they need some alone time in a new environment they'll be able to relax on our couch. With such an open schedule, if your pup needs to eat, go out, or get medication at a certain time we'll be able to make sure their routine doesn't get disrupted during their stay.

About: Animal lover since birth - dog, cats, birds, ferrets - you name it! I am an ICU nurse hoping to help my neighbors in Chicago care for their pets for a change :) I am off work 4 days a week - on those days I am available and flexible for all dog walking and in-home dog & cat care needs! I grew up with Rottweilers, Weimaraners, Australian Shepherds, cats, birds, and hamsters. I myself am a pitbull mama and cat mama. I have nearly two decades of experience walking leash-reactive, dog (and human) selective, strong AF dogs . I volunteered at OTAT’s Behavioral Center, walking and caring for dogs of all sizes and temperaments. -I am a registered nurse who works in critical care. -I am comfortable administering oral and subcutaneous medications. -I am calm in emergency situations. - I respect my client’s space and follow their instructions carefully, including feeding, medications and routines. -I build trust with pets through patience, positive reinforcement and consistency.
