**I am open to new clients again, feel free to reach out!! I grew up with dogs my whole life and love them just as much as you do! I understand that your pet is more than just a pet, he/she is your companion and best friend. I currently have 1 dog: a 6 year old boxer mix named Frankie, and I will take care of your pet the same way I care for her. I sadly lost my dog of 9 years Zena in December, so I am very accustomed to a multi-pet home. I am reliable, trust-worthy and dedicated to the happiness, health, wellness and safety of your pet and to making sure that your animal feels like I am part of the family while taking care of them. I was a puppy/young adult dog foster for almost 2 years until I foster “failed” with my younger girl Frankie. During 2020-2022, I worked full-time at a local animal shelter for three years as an animal caregiver and behavioral trainer, so I have lots of experience with dogs and cats of all ages. I also have experience giving eye drops, ear drops, injectable meds such as insulin, as well as nasal spray and oral medications. I am able to lift pets up to 60lbs for a few flights of stairs, and I also have experience with dogs going through rehab post-orthopedic operations such as TPLO and hip surgeries. I also have experience with seizures. I am available for walks and drop in-visits during the week and sometimes on weekends. I do overnight pet sitting on a case by case basis as I am currently fostering a senior hospice pup for a local rescue and don’t want to be away from him overnight with some of his recent health concerns. I have experience with all types of dogs from my time working at an animal shelter so I am prepared for different animal personalities and dynamics, including cats. I have been a sitter on Rover for over 8 years with lots of repeat clients.

Amanda was amazing. We had a last minute sitter cancellation and Amanda was able to take care of Biggie Smalls for us. He took to her immediately and was so well taken care of. She was great with updates and photos and super respectful of our home. We would recommend her 100x over and Biggie can’t wait to see her again!

Schedule
I have a flexible schedule, so I have time throughout the day to check in on or walk your pets. Besides caring for my own dog and foster dog, I would love to help care for yours!

- I do not have any breed preferences as I have watched all different types and ages of dogs in the past. I have fostered over 40 puppies before so I know how to handle separation anxiety and teething and I can also help with house-training, crate-training, and learning commands. I have experience with dogs that have behavioral quirks, including reactivity, shyness, mouthiness, and stranger danger. I have also fostered senior and hospice pups before so I am comfortable meeting your pet where they are at. I would like to know how you reward your dog as well as how much and what types of exercise your dog enjoys best! I would like to know what and when your dog likes to eat, what toys they like to play with, and any medical conditions that your dog may have. I would also know what they usually like to do at the same time I will be with them so we can keep a consistent schedule for your furry family member!
