My mornings are for walking the dog I'm staying with and my personal work time. I usually don't schedule drop-in visits before 11am. No extra charge for evening or night drop-in visits though! Love an evening kitty visit- that's when they're the most fun! 🧶🐈⬛ Start times for housesits before 9am incur an additional $30 charge. This discourages folks from leaving their dogs alone overnight so I'm not starting a sit with a stressed pupper. But if someone truly does have an early flight, this covers a surge-priced uber/lyft because cycling during morning rush-hour is.. not a vibe. When I'm house-sitting I'm at your home with your pet/s almost all day, every day. I usually leave once or twice daily for 2-4 hours at a time but not more than 6 total, depending on your pet's needs of course. Meaning I'll probably spend more time with your pets than you usually can. FOR CATS: I'm happy to book once-daily drop-in visits when you're gone, but also willing to stay overnight with them. If your cat requires more than one visit per day please request housesitting or try another sitter. I don't visit the same place twice a day unless I'm sleeping there!

I'll definitely want to meet your pet before booking an overnight stay. After we meet I'll send a booking request, and unless it's close to the date of the sit, you'll have time to confirm. No pressure from me until I get other requests for those dates.
Information Cris C. would like to know about your pet
★I love getting printed care info and instructions! It's never too much! Putting the info in a message or here in your pet's Rover profile works too, but paper is my favorite. ★Need to know Approximate meal times and how much food. Approximate out times. Any injuries, allergies, limitations, fears or quirks. Words and names you use to call your pup, and commands they understand-- E.g. "Walter comes to Wally or Smally. He understands Go to Bed, Outside, Drop it, and we're working on Off for jumping" Also: wifi password, time zone you're in, what time you expect to be back, and anything that is broken or off-limits as far as appliances. ★Nice to know: Habits, tricks, treats, toys. If you don't have a yard, length of time and route suggestions for walks (and if your dog is particular about pooping- their fave spot for that!) If that sounds like a lot, no worries. If I have questions while you're gone, I'll message you! And likewise please message me any time for any reason! I'll be in touch daily, or as you prefer. Are you new to all this? Do you hate uncertainty? Well let me tell you: ★MORE ABOUT HOUSE-SITTING!★ I will sleep at your home, in the bed of your choice. I will want to use your kitchen, wifi, and maybe laundry if I'm there more than a few days. I won't have guests over. I might shower there, or at home. I won't open doors, closets, drawers, desks beyond what might be reasonably expected, such as where I might find kitchen/cleaning/pet supplies. I respect privacy and expect the same so I will unplug or turn around your indoor cameras including pet-cams while I'm there. Please disclose them when we meet so it's not awkward. :) ★EVEN MORE RANDOM INFO★ • If your home needs keys for entry I will only come get them once. Ok probably twice, I'm a pushover lol but if we keep working together puhlease get a lockbox. Ideally with **two** sets of keys. One set for me to use while you're gone and one spare set in the box just in case something happens to me or the keys I'm holding. • Did I mention that I usually get around on two wheels, even in winter? ? I CAN drive but I'm car-free and happy about it • I won't cancel on you after bookings are confirmed. I book on a first come, first served basis. My regulars know I won't cancel on them, or for them. • Fwiw I do have outside clients as well but admin and payment is much easier (for me heh) through Rover. To me that's worth the 20% cut they take from my posted rate. Please don't ask me to go off-app • My service area is small right now so I'm never more than 10-15 minute bike ride away from cats I visit and dogs I walk no matter where I'm housesitting (because.. weather). Which means I decline a lot of requests. But if you're somewhere in West Town but not north of North please reach out! I know my profile says I have a lot of repeat clients but many of them moved away. I can't wait to meet your fluffy friend!
A typical day
I base my engagement on what you've told me about your fur baby, and what their behavior is telling me. Dogs I'm sitting for get a bare minimum of 30 mins of walking and/or playing per day, unless they won't or can't. I'm not a car-owning person so we won't be having grand beach or trail adventures unfortunately.

Pet care experience
Hi! I've been on this platform since 2018 and still loove getting to know new pet-friends and doting on the old pet-friends while their people are away. My goal while you're gone is to eliminate the stress and uncertainty of separation for your fur-kids, and for you! So I'll stick to their usual routine, spend a ton of time with them, and keep your home safe, fresh and tidy for your return. I communicate daily at minimum, with photos, or as often as you'd like. And I'm happy to accommodate every pet's quirks.. and yours haha! I prioritize the pet/s I'm staying with over almost anything else that's going on. I feel lucky to be able to do that and I like to think the pets are lucky too! I clock and adjust to attention and activity needs & wants, so I'm happy to throw balls in the park early morning on a saturday for a high energy pup, or sit with a half-blind grumpy one waiting for a sign that they need to go out (true stories haha). I'm pretty good at reading dog & cat body language and behavior, so stress, fear, pain, or aggression don't go unnoticed- but neither do playfulness, curiosity, trust, and contentment! 🖤 I frequently care for pets with special needs, including reactivity, noise sensitivity, allergies, medication regimens, special food prep, resource guarding, slow eaters, scarf-n-barfers, mobility issues, and more Home care includes watering plants, inside and out, bringing in mail & packages, taking out trash, recycling etc, and dealing with whatever comes up. This is for overnight housesitting but almost all of the above applies to drop-in visits (for cats or smaller animals) when you're out of town as well. For more info (honestly way TMI) see below or the Details tab 🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾

Cris watched our 3 cats for us while we were out of town for a long weekend. I felt like she was very thorough and provided excellent care for them while we were away. She kept us updated and sent plenty of pictures for our peace of mind. Overall great experience!!

Cris was great! Super communicative about our dog both leading up to and throughout the whole weekend. Would absolutely hire again!

I cannot thank Cris more, she is so fantastic watching our pup! Extremely great communication and photos, keeps our place clean and our pup has the absolute best time with her! We cannot wait to have Cris watch our Zoe again!

Cris was amazing. Very communicative and detail oriented. Took great photos of my 2 cats & dogs and tidied up even though I didnt ask. Would highly recommend Cris
