Dog and cat mama, here! I absolutely love cats and dogs and my friends often have to actively discourage me from adopting more. I’m the person that hangs out with the four-legged friends at parties and has to have an extensive conversation with every dog (and their human) passing on the street. In my “free time,” I’m a CPS teacher who loves their job and secretly wishes my fur babies could be my school’s mascots and permanent members of my classroom. I have had and taken care of both dogs and cats since I can remember; I always had at least one of both in my house my whole life. In college, I worked at PetSmart as a dog and cat (and small mammals) groomer and my love and knowledge of our four-legged pals grew even more. Being a groomer taught me how to take care of pets in difficult situations (most cats and dogs get pretty nervous about visits to the groomer). These skills help me build trust with fur babies; support pets with special needs (medical, behavioral, etc.); and handle emergency situations well. More importantly, as a dog and cat mama myself, I know just how important it is to know that your fur babies are in good hands and with someone who will love on them just as much as you! My fur babies love to snuggle for days on end and your fur babies will get all the snuggles and playtime they need and want!
