About: Animals have always been huge in my life. I grew up spending much of my time on a farm, and these days I share my apartment with my cat, Pierre. Before I had my own, I regularly hosted friends’ and family’s cats at my apartment, and I fostered. My cat, Pierre, actually started out as a foster — I loved him too much to let him go! I also had my two beloved dogs, Joe and Alice, who lived to almost 16, and I was a primary caregiver through their senior years. After allowing the initial meet & greet, Xo was happy to meet and play with Jeff. He allowed me to give specific direction and talk about her daily life with training and other details. Not only was I put at ease, Xo is naturally an anxious dog with separation anxiety, Jeff helped her with her fears and brought her out of that mental state. A huge plus for that. He allows her on furniture which is perfect as she enjoys snuggling and sleeping next to someone. He kept me updated, even sent pictures which to me, is a sign of a caring and an understanding person. Jeff is a laid back kinda guy. He made a few arrangements to tend to my needs which helped a ton for my reasoning in leaving her to begin with. About: As experienced dog sitter, I’ve discovered that taking care of other people’s dogs has become a beloved hobby. Unfortunately, we can’t have a dog of our own right now, but that makes looking after other’s dogs all the more special. I recently moved from Amsterdam to Chicago. In Amsterdam I used a similar app called “petbnb” and dog sitted a lot of dogs. Here, I love going for walks and discover the city with the dog. About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since I could crawl. I currently own a high energy Pitty mix who demands 10k steps a day or he will let me know. I can assure all dogs will get plenty of tummy rubs and will be exhausted by days end. I currently work remote five days a week. Attending to dogs care is not a problem. Occasional, I will have to be go in office but given a head up for booking I can adjust my schedule. I have a one bed room apartment and nearby park. If dogs are friendly with other dogs there is a dog park near me. Typically, I will ensure only my dog (Leon) and the one I’m babysitting are in the park together. This way I am able to control the environment. I will make sure to provide any dog the proper environment that makes them comfortable.

About: I was born into a family with 2 dogs and ever since then have had dogs large and small in my life. I have a passion for rescue pets and believe in a caretaking perspective of empathy and respect for all animals. My dog ladybird was a hunting reject that was starved and used in dog fighting. It’s been a long transformative journey of helping her heal and learn new ways of being loved. From a terrified animal who would run away at any sudden movement to a drama queen who wants to sleep with her head on my pillow. Seeing the dog she is today has truly changed me and has sparked a passion for giving rescue animals a new life.
