About: I am a recent college grad from Indiana University with my degree in animal behavior. I have grown up with dogs and cats my whole life, and the love I had for them pushed me to pursue a career in caring for animals. I also spent this past summer working at the Lincoln Park Zoo as a behavior and husbandry intern, learning how to be a zookeeper through shadow days. Before that I worked at a science museum in Indiana where I cared for the fish, reptiles, amphibians, and insects that lived there. I am in between jobs at the moment because my internship recently ended, this means I am available to come by any time. I am currently looking for new job opportunities so this is subject to change in the future. I am very respectful of other people's homes, and I will ensure that when your animals are in my care I will do whatever I can to keep them safe, happy, and feeling loved.

About: I've taken care of dogs since I was a kid. I grew up with Huskies and was responsible for feeding and walking them. In addition, I helped neighbors when they were away or just needed help taking care of their dogs. As an adult I've had two English Springer Spaniels. Maggie was liver and white and lived for just over 10 years and she was my one with separation anxiety. Josie who was black and white was my old soul from the day we got her home. We lost her a couple years ago at almost 13. My daughter also has a pup with epilepsy and has issues with fear based reactivity - which I am familiar with as well. He struggles sometimes and can be reactive to other animals and overstimulated in certain situations. So, keeping him close, being very aware on walks is important. I am experienced in walking, feeding and giving meds. I am also comfortable with elderly dog care given our Josie ended up living with back and hip issues as well as some vision loss near the end. I've also taken classes and volunteered at Anti-Cruetly here in Chicago and spent time at adoption events. Since I no longer have a dog of my own I decided I would enjoy getting my puppy dog fix loving on other peoples animals in their absence. Please reach out if you need help in the Chicago/River North area. I am currently retired with plenty of time on my hands. I would enjoy meeting you and your puppy or dog and see if we are a good fit. I love animals and know what it's like to want them in the best hands possible when you are busy or traveling. I would like to be that person! I am happy to come to your home and take care of your dog. I will gladly feed, water and administer meds as needed and per instructions. I am also happy to walk, snuggle or just play depending on the need.
