“Our dog loves Nate! Our dog is a nervous boy and has separation anxiety pretty bad which is why we try not to leave him home alone. When we leave him with Nate he feels at home and calm until we are able to come get him. We have left him with other sitters and have had the opposite experience. Nate is the only one we like leaving our dog with. We highly recommend him.”

“We have definitely found our new permanent Dog sitter here in Chicago! I had a last-minute work emergency and Ksenia was SO responsive & flexible; I couldn’t be more grateful. Drop off was super easy and Nipsey came home happy and tuckered out. Couldn’t have asked for a better first Rover experience! 10/10 would recommend 🤩”

“Shannon came in clutch when my pup Alfie had an eye infection and could no longer go to daycare this week! She agreed to watch him under short notice and was understanding about working with my schedule and Alfie’s separation anxiety. Thank you, Shannon!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 12. I have had my sweet girl Luna for 6 years now. From medications to vet and groom visits to training to just zoomies and play. She’s my babe. I work a night schedule currently Sunday night to Thursday night , and I am available during the day to pick up or meet you to grab your pet or pet sit and return them to you or meet you or pet sit later in the day. I keep my home dog proof, we all know how they can be, as well as cats. I also know signs for when a dog isn’t feeling well and cats. I’m very observant. They truly are our children.

About: I’ve been caring for dogs since I was a teenager in England and have always grown up around them. Since moving to the United States, I really miss my family dog, so spending time with dogs here means a lot to me. I have experience with breeds including French Bulldogs and Akitas, and I’m comfortable with different personalities and care needs. I offer flexible, reliable availability seven days a week, including evenings and weekends. I am the co founder of my business and work from home. I don’t have any other responsibilities so I am happy to tailor my schedule to suit your dog’s needs and routine. Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priority. I provide a calm, clean, and secure home environment where dogs can relax and feel at ease. I take the time to understand each dog’s routine, preferences, and any special requirements to ensure they feel safe and well cared for. I don’t have a yard but next door to our apartment is a dog park so there is green space nearby.

About: I have experience with small puppies, high energy furry friends, and senior dogs who need extra love and attention when getting around. I am very active, and love taking dogs for walks and to go play/ get outside time. I love creating a calming space for any guest that comes through so that they feel comfortable during their stay I currently work from home almost 5 days a week, so I will be home most the time to have around the clock care. I love to keep things on a schedule (please provide if there is a specific one you follow) to keep the pet(s) on their regular routine that they would expect. I have a relatively large studio that is about .25 miles from a medium size dog park. I am more than happy to crate your dog, but tend to follow the lead of the owners routine. I am not super picky about having dogs on my furniture so I can leave that to owners discretion
“Teresa communicated really well, was flexible and understanding of my schedule, and is just a really nice woman. She took a lot of pictures of my pup while he was at her home and he seemed to really enjoy his day in the city! We hope to see her again next time I need a sitter in the city near my workplace!”

About: Dog lover with 10+ years of experience caring for pups of all kinds. Now that I work remotely full-time, I’m home pretty much 24/7, which means your dog gets constant company, multiple walks a day, and lots of love and extra attention. My 16-year-old senior dog Luca lives for having friends around. New buddies keep her lively, and she’d be thrilled to welcome yours. If you work and hate the thought of your critter home alone, I’m your perfect fit. I take up to three dogs a day, and we always have a blast hanging out. Your pup will be safe, happy, and never bored. Pet care is woven right into my day since I work from home and rarely leave. My mornings start with walks and breakfast for the pups, followed by play sessions, naps, and potty breaks scheduled throughout the day. I’m flexible seven days a week and can match your dog’s normal routine so the transition feels easy. I treat every dog like my own. My home is a calm, welcoming space where pups can relax, and my gentle 16-year-old Luca makes a wonderful companion for visiting friends. I keep group sizes small at three dogs max so I can watch everyone closely during play. I stick to whatever feeding, medication, or care notes you share, and I’m comfortable crating if your dog is used to it.
“Amy provided exceptional care for Maeve during her time at daycare. Maeve had an amazing time playing with her new friend Frank, and Amy treated her with the same warmth and attention as if she were her own. I highly recommend Amy and look forward to booking with her again!”

About: I have been a pet sitter for friends and family for several years now and have watched breeds as small as a Bichon Frise to as large as a Goldendoodle. I am also a dog mom myself. My pup Charlie was rescued from the streets of Chicago and I have had him for 3 years now. I am also a certified dog foster. I am going back to school to get my law degree this fall and therefore will be flexible to take care of your pet. I am a big animal lover so would love the break from studying! There is plenty to share, however, I will not give your pet any dog treats without your explicit permission.

About: I’ve been caring for pets for 14 years, starting when I was 10 years old. I’ve always loved animals and was often the first person neighbors trusted to watch their dogs. In addition to caring for family pets long-term, I have experience with puppies and senior dog care and understand the extra patience, attention, and comfort that dogs of all ages need. I treat every pet like family and strive to provide reliable, loving care that gives owners peace of mind. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine since I currently work from home. My flexible schedule allows me to provide attentive care, regular walks, playtime, feeding, potty breaks, and boarding throughout the day, ensuring pets receive plenty of attention and companionship. Whether caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, I focus on maintaining their normal routine and making them feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I provide feeding, fresh water, walks, playtime, potty breaks, medication if needed, and plenty of attention. For boarding, I offer a welcoming apartment environment and live near a dog park, allowing for regular exercise and outdoor time. For drop-in visits and walks, I ensure pets receive companionship, activity, and attentive care while their owners are away.
“Grace & Anushree were awesome! They were super proactive about their communication and were sure to keep me updated on how my pup was doing. Highly recommend them!”

“Austin was a wonderful daycare sitter for Coco! Tintin is also the best little pup - he and Coco were running around and playing right away. Austin was great about sending updates throughout the day. I would highly recommend!”

Near North Side dog parents share their Rover experiences
While visiting Chicago, I needed someone to watch Boba when I couldn’t bring her along. Austin took excellent care of her, walking her and reassuring me every step of the way. I highly recommend booking with Austin. P.S. Austin lives right in front of a large park, so there’s plenty of space for Boba to explore and enjoy the outdoors. .

Dave watched our puppy for the whole day, and he had a great time! Everything was easy to arrange, even though it was our first Rover experience. Dave was friendly, responsive, and took excellent care of him. Thank you so much, we would happily book again when we are in Chicago .

This was our puppy’s very first sitting experience. We needed a sitter for a few hours during our trip to Chicago. From the moment we arrived, Zuma jumped right into Rachael’s arms, which immediately made us feel that she was experienced with dogs and had a calming presence. He seemed to feel safe and comfortable with her right away. It looks like he was able to relax and enjoy his time there. We would definitely recommend Rachael to other pet parents.

Odie spent four days with Katrina this week while I was at work. He had a fabulous time with her during his stay! Each day, she took him on walks, played games with him, and gave him individualized attention. She was super vigilant with him on his walks, making sure that he was using the bathroom and cleaning his paws afterwards. And she overall provided stellar and detailed updates during the day, so I didn’t have to worry one bit! Katrina has been very flexible with me, as I recently moved to the city and had a lot of schedule changes. She has been great to work with and I will definitely be using her services in the future. I HIGHLY recommend her!
