I also offer house-sitting for dogs and cats with advance notice, and would love to hang out with your furry friend! In our home, our dog runs the house! She is allowed on the couch and about once a week she sleeps on our bed (on top of the couch). We encourage cuddling and never feed our own dog table scraps and never would feed yours that either. As for your home, I would leave it in the same condition I found it with the trash emptied. I would prefer to not even cook in your home if I can help it, beyond the toaster or microwave. I essentially wouldn't want it to look like I was ever even there! People's homes are private and warrant a certain respect and trust not just for the animals but for the space itself.
