About: I’ve been taking care of animals since I was a kid, and I have a pet of my own whom I adore. I’ve looked after friends’ pets, including a senior dog with arthritis, so I have experience with both older dogs who need extra care and younger, more playful pups. I also love taking care of cats, I have one myself! With all pets, I try to be as comforting and approachable as possible so they learn to trust me. About: There is not one pet that I haven’t loved and who hasn’t loved me back. I adore animals and express that care in my daily life. When I’m with my friends’ dogs, we play and run when I’m not walking them or spoiling them with a treat or two. My neighbors and I take turns feeding and hydrating the stray cats in our neighborhood on a regular schedule regardless of the weather. My roommate trusts me with her beautiful black cat whenever she’s out of town. Even when we’re both home, she is loved on as if she’s my own. I never had pets in childhood, so I jump at the chance to spend time with them. Your pets will always be loved and protected with me. I’m currently taking time off work, so I have time to love on your pets! I’m primarily available mornings and afternoons, but I’m very flexible with enough notice. I follow care instructions diligently and leave pets just as their owners left them (if not happier!) To keep pets comfortable, I only interact with them as much as they allow. I also let them become accustomed to my scent and speak in a soft voice as to not spook them. To protect them from any accidental harm, I keep areas clear of anything pets might be tempted to eat or chew on. There will always be playtime involved to keep pets active unless otherwise indicated.

About: Hello everyone! My name is Shannon, but I go by Amii, and I recently moved to Chicago—it’s been almost a year now—to pursue college. Before relocating, I lived in Florida, where I cared for my family’s and friends’ pets whenever they were out of town or had busy work schedules. I also grew up surrounded by animals—neighbors and friends all had pets with unique personalities. There were always stray cats roaming my old neighborhood, and I had a beloved childhood dog for many years before he passed away. Currently, I have an ESA cat, so I’m very familiar with the responsibilities that come with caring for pets and understanding their needs and wants. Some of the tasks I regularly handle include: • Nail trimming • Brushing teeth • Cleaning litter boxes (including Litter-Robots) • Applying topical, oral, and eye medications • Post-surgery aftercare routines (my cat had surgery last year) • Most importantly, staying attentive to their moods and sensitivities While it’s been a while since I’ve lived with a dog—so I might be a bit out of practice beyond walking, playing, and feeding—I’m excellent at following instructions and adapting to each pet’s routine! I wish I could host pets in my home as I have 2 parks near me and one of them is fenced! So if the client is ok with it, I can take your dog of the leash and free play with a tennis ball or sticks, but I have a cat at home who isn’t comfortable with other animals at the moment.
