“Leila really helped us out with a last minute cat drop in visits request. She was very communicative, fast to respond, and went above and beyond to do extra things we didn’t even ask her to do! I highly recommend her to anyone!”

“Andres was great with my cat even though she doesn’t love new people. He sent plenty of pictures and made sure that she had water and food and clean litter. He went out of his way to accommodate when I needed to extend my trip. Will definitely book him again!”

“It was a pleasure working with Jason. Jason took great care of our fur baby, sent us lots of pictures and updates every day and even watered our plant for us! I would definitely recommend Jason to anyone looking for a caring and professional cat sitter!”

“Kristi was fantastic! She really made my little Monty feel loved while I was away. I could see it in the many pictures and videos that she sent me. She showed up on schedule and let me know if she needed to deviate. She did an all around great job with feeding, medication, and cuddling. I would hire her again and recommend her to others without reservation.”

“Breanna was great! She did a couple drop-in visits (on short notice) with our pup who is only a few weeks out of surgery. We had ease of mind that he was well cared for when we couldn't be home during the day.”

“I have booked with Eunice multiple times now (some very last minute bookings) and she always does a great job checking in and taking care of my Doberman. Eunice always makes sure my energetic dog gets enough attention and exercise throughout the visit.”

“Michael was great with the cats. They both really liked him. He was very diligent - took lots of pictures and provided good updates. He was also very communicative, professional, and punctual. Can’t recommend him enough!”

“Ashley took great care of my girls while I was away, including being very sure to make sure that my one got her meds every visit. Great updates and pictures every time, would definitely recommend her”

“Monica & Calvin are always great. We trust that they take great care of our two cats, and we get amazing pictures as well! Thanks Monica & Calvin!”

About: I’ve spent the last 11 years caring for my elderly Chow Chow, and during that time I’ve also watched lots of other dogs, including two golden retrievers. I’m experienced with everything from playful pups to seniors who need gentler care. I also volunteer at local shelters walking dogs big and small, which has taught me how to build trust quickly and handle every kind of temperament. I’m calm, patient, and I always make sure each dog feels safe, loved, and full of treats. 😘 I'm currently working part-time, so I'll have plenty of time to play with your pups! I'm available for boarding on all weekdays and some weekends, just ask! When I’m caring for a dog in their home, my goal is to make sure they feel completely safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I follow their normal routine as closely as possible with the same feeding times, walks, and favorite spots. I’ll make sure that everything feels familiar and stress-free. I’ve spent over a decade caring for my senior Chow Chow, so I’m especially patient and gentle with older dogs or those who need a little extra attention. I’ve also watched younger, energetic pups like golden retrievers and volunteer regularly at shelters, so I’m confident handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I always make sure pets get the right mix of exercise, play, and calm time. I send photo updates and messages regularly so you can relax knowing they’re happy and in good hands. Your home will be left just as you found it — clean, secure, and filled with tail wags.
“Siddhi was really helpful and Kind! One of my cats had to take medicine and she Took very Well Care of him! The Communication was great and receiving pics of my cats playing and cuddling was a Relief ! Really recommend her!”

“Eternal gratitude towards Yesenia for watching my cat Rover and helping me run small errands while I was away especially during the Holidays! <3 I returned to find my apartment super tidy and everything in one place. She is flexible and attentive. I had an amazing experience with her as my sitter and you will too!”

“Great walker! Very reliable, punctual, and caring. My dog was happy and well taken care of, and I really appreciated the updates and photos during the walk. You can tell they genuinely love animals and treat them with care. I would definitely book again and highly recommend!”

“Ana was great, she accommodated us with a pretty last minute request. We went out of town and left both our very strong and high energy pittie/staffy pups home alone for the very first time. As you can imagine as a dog parent, that made me a nervous wreck. Ana took great care of our dogs (and cats), and she has been communicative and lovely. She provides plenty of pictures for reassurance and detailed written updates. I am so grateful for Ana making our trip possible!!!”

About: I've always had a sweet spot for pets. I took care of and trained my childhood dog for 6 years, and now I'm doing the same for my current dog. I've taken care of my friends' dogs when they are away. In addition, I have been training my own dog with a professional trainer, which allowed me to better understand and manage dogs during walks and plays in the park. I'm a graduate student that always takes time to walk my dog. During weekends, I mostly work from home or have more time to walk around the neighborhood and go to the parks. I have harnesses if your dog needs them for a more comfortable walk. My dog is really friendly and adapts to the energy level of other dogs, to make them feel comfortable and also helps them to socialize.

About: Hi! I’m Emily — a dependable and caring animal lover based in Chicago. I’ve had medium to large dogs my whole life, so I’m very comfortable handling different energy levels, personalities, and needs. I also volunteer at PAWS Chicago, where I spend time caring for and working with dogs of different temperaments. This has given me experience reading dog behavior and helping them feel safe and comfortable in new environments. I currently don’t have a dog of my own at home, which allows me to give my full attention to the pets I’m caring for and be flexible with scheduling. My family dog Bella likes to come for a visit here and there for a few days in a row. She will not be with on our walks or home visits. I offer dog walking, drop-in visits, and house sitting, and I’m happy to adjust to your dog’s routine, energy level, and personality. Whether your dog needs a long walk, playtime, or just some company, I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I’m very responsive, detail-oriented, and will keep you updated with photos and messages so you always know how your pet is doing. I treat every pet like they’re my own and aim to make the experience stress-free for both you and your dog. Feel free to reach out with any questions — I’d love to meet you and your pup! I work in education so during the school year Monday-Friday I am free after about 4pm. I open on the weekends. During June-August I have a free schedule I provide a safe, calm, and attentive environment whether I’m in your home or out on walks. I always follow each pet’s routine closely, including feeding, walking, and any specific instructions you provide. I’m experienced with medium to large dogs and comfortable handling different energy levels and personalities. I prioritize safety on walks by using secure leashing and staying aware of surroundings, and I always make sure pets feel comfortable and cared for. I’m also very communicative and will send regular updates and photos so you feel confident while you’re away.
About: For the past several years, I’ve cared for dogs across Chicago and built strong, trusting relationships with many repeat clients. I love getting outside, moving my body, and helping each dog feel confident and comfortable being themselves. Animals go through changes just like we do – they have off days, get distracted, or need extra reassurance. I show up with patience, steady energy, and clear communication to support them through it. I take care of my own energy so I can meet them where they are with clarity and presence. My regular pups greet me with gentle hugs, big stretches, and tail wags before leaning in for scratches – the small rituals mean a lot to me. On our walks, I stay aware of my surroundings to reduce surprises and follow through with any training routines you use at home. I talk to them, offer a sense of choice and safety, and let them sniff and explore their favorite spots. Background: My bond with animals started early. I grew up in the south suburbs of Chicago, visiting my grandparent’s farm in Dekalb – gravitating to outdoor chores with their horses, dogs, cats, and chickens. We adopted some barn cats and as a teen I got my first pup, a black lab–springer spaniel mix. I lived in Seattle for seven years searching for "ocean, mountains, and trees" while working as a Project Manager and trying to balance my logical and creative sides. During that time, I began a meaningful therapy and coaching journey that sharpened my empathy, deepened my self-awareness, and taught me how to regulate my energy – all of which now naturally supports the way I work with animals. Caring for animals has become one of the most meaningful and inspiring parts of my week. I typically am available for walks and drop-ins between 8am–6pm on weekdays. Some clients book me for 30-60min walks 2-3 days each week – usually filling the afternoon portion of my day. I am also available as-needed, ie when clients travel for work or just need extra help. My schedule is usually blocked Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:30–4:30pm assisting as a Care Companion for an elder client. I’m pretty flexible, and happy to chat through what you need so we can find a schedule that works for everyone. I always encourage a meet-and-greet so we can all exchange energy, ease into the connection, and establish trust before the first walk or stay. My goal is to get to know your dog’s personality, routines, and needs. I’ll ask questions about their temperament, preferences, favorite enrichment activities, triggers, walk routes, house rules, feeding schedule, and anything else that helps me support them well. When I’m caring for your pup, we spend the first day finding our flow. I stick to your established routines and follow all standard safety practices. If you’re comfortable with visiting a nearby dog park or trail, I drive a Subaru Crosstrek with space for a dog and/or a crate.
Lower West Side pet parents share their Rover experiences
Highly recommend! My cat warmed up to her so quickly, which honestly says a lot because cats can be picky with new people. She’s been reliable, communicative, and just genuinely great to work with. It’s such a relief having someone I trust caring for my kitty. 💗

I really liked Leila's service. She was always available, listened to all my requests, and was very attentive to my cat. I could see from the photos that my cat was calm and happy, that he was well-cared for, and I had nothing to worry about. When I arrived home, everything was clean, the toys were put away, and I was very grateful. I will definitely work with Leila again.
