About: Hello i'm Janelle C.(she/her)! A dog walker and pet sitter with 5 years of professional experience at Fur Real K9's as well as with my own clients here in Chicago. I also have a life time of experience loving and caring for animals, including my own two adorable black cats Elizabeth and Momo. In my childhood I took care of all the cats, dogs and horses on our family farm back in Missouri. In my 5 years as a pet sitter i've taken care of everything from geckos to guinea pigs. In that time I took classes in pet CPR and behavior management, particularly for large dogs. I know I can give your pet the love, care and attention they deserve. I hope you trust me to be your next pet sitter! I'm free on weekends (Friday night, Saturday and Sunday) for pet sitting and walking as well as over nights. I have time on Wednesdays for walks and home visits. I consider myself to be an attentive, patient and caring pet parent and I look after my clients pet's just as I would my own. I've worked with all sorts of animals, I've broken up ugly dog fights, changed diapers and sat with pups through seizures
“Ana took care of my snap dog for 3 days woke I was out of town. I really appreciated that she listened and followed my instructions to make sure my dog's schedy was not affected too much. Age was on time and communication was prompt and very appreciated! Thank you Ana!”

About: For the past several years, I’ve cared for dogs across Chicago and built strong, trusting relationships with many repeat clients. I love getting outside, moving my body, and helping each dog feel confident and comfortable being themselves. Animals go through changes just like we do – they have off days, get distracted, or need extra reassurance. I show up with patience, steady energy, and clear communication to support them through it. I take care of my own energy so I can meet them where they are with clarity and presence. My regular pups greet me with gentle hugs, big stretches, and tail wags before leaning in for scratches – the small rituals mean a lot to me. On our walks, I stay aware of my surroundings to reduce surprises and follow through with any training routines you use at home. I talk to them, offer a sense of choice and safety, and let them sniff and explore their favorite spots. Background: My bond with animals started early. I grew up in the south suburbs of Chicago, visiting my grandparent’s farm in Dekalb – gravitating to outdoor chores with their horses, dogs, cats, and chickens. We adopted some barn cats and as a teen I got my first pup, a black lab–springer spaniel mix. I lived in Seattle for seven years searching for "ocean, mountains, and trees" while working as a Project Manager and trying to balance my logical and creative sides. During that time, I began a meaningful therapy and coaching journey that sharpened my empathy, deepened my self-awareness, and taught me how to regulate my energy – all of which now naturally supports the way I work with animals. Caring for animals has become one of the most meaningful and inspiring parts of my week. I typically am available for walks and drop-ins between 8am–6pm on weekdays. Some clients book me for 30-60min walks 2-3 days each week – usually filling the afternoon portion of my day. I am also available as-needed, ie when clients travel for work or just need extra help. My schedule is usually blocked Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:30–4:30pm assisting as a Care Companion for an elder client. I’m pretty flexible, and happy to chat through what you need so we can find a schedule that works for everyone. I always encourage a meet-and-greet so we can all exchange energy, ease into the connection, and establish trust before the first walk or stay. My goal is to get to know your dog’s personality, routines, and needs. I’ll ask questions about their temperament, preferences, favorite enrichment activities, triggers, walk routes, house rules, feeding schedule, and anything else that helps me support them well. When I’m caring for your pup, we spend the first day finding our flow. I stick to your established routines and follow all standard safety practices. If you’re comfortable with visiting a nearby dog park or trail, I drive a Subaru Crosstrek with space for a dog and/or a crate.

110% recommend! My normally shy cat warmed up to her so quickly, and Susmitha’s daily report and check-in’s were always detailed and thorough. It’s very obvious how much love, care and attention she provides our furry babies when we’re away! Will definitely have her around more often! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Leila went above and beyond taking care of my kitties and even tidying some of the messes the cats made! I felt reassured knowing she was spending time with them and giving them attention. She's incredibly communicative, which I really appreciate when I'm far away.

Thank you so much Shan for taking care of my kitty. I was able to be stress free during my travel knowing my kitty was in good hands with Shan. Shan made sure to feed him, give him water, clean his litterbox and bonus plug something in for me. Shan is amazing and highly recommend! Shan took great care of my kitty, she played with him and gave me lots of videos. Will get Shan again to take care of my kitty.

Lisa provided amazing service! We have reactive dogs and they did fantastic! This was the first time someone other than family took care of them. The fact they did great and really took to Lisa is a wonderful gift to us. Can’t thank her enough. Highly recommend!

Adriana was incredibly responsive and took great care of our cats while we were away. We really appreciated her attention to detail, excellent communication, and the care she showed throughout each visit. She kept us updated, followed our instructions closely, and gave us peace of mind knowing our cats were in good hands. We would gladly recommend her and would be happy to book with her again!
