“I had to change cat sitters last minute and I am very happy that Gwen was available. She took great care of my two boy cats. She also didn't have a problem with stocking the feeder with wet food every three days. Initially, there was a misunderstanding that was quickly remedied. When I came back, my two boys were happy and healthy, freshly brushed. Gwen apparently even cleaned the couch, as there was no hair to be found there. She also agreed to keep my huge number of plants alive during the time that I was gone... and it turned out to be a monumental task with >90F heat every day. But they are all thriving! Thank you!”

About: Hi! My name is Monica and I recently graduated from Indiana University. I’ve grown up around animals my entire life, so caring for them has always come naturally to me. While I was in college, I fostered through local animal shelters, which gave me experience caring for animals with all different personalities, ages, and needs. About: I work from home full time and I’ve grown up with dogs all my life and I’m a huge pet lover. I used to foster dogs of all sizes so I’m used to having guest pups around. I have a 11yr old Doberman mix who wouldnt mind the extra company of another dog. He’s too old to actively play so he’ll do best with another low energy dog or dog that doesn’t need a play friend. We love the outdoors and go on frequent walks. Dogs will have free rein of the apartment. Daily routine will be the same as my pup. Three walks a day (or more if needed). Breakfast around 8 and dinner around 6 unless different hours are needed. Dogs will have free roam of the apartment but I also have the ability to separate them if requested. I also don’t mind if they are on the furniture and I have plenty of options for sleeping arrangements.

I took them on daily walks, fed them according to a strict meal regimen, and made sure they were safe. The 15-year-old dog had health issues so I have experience in responding to health crisis with elderly dogs and know how to respond in case of an emergency. I am willing to commute, but have limited availability with overnight visits as I have a 19 month old and 7 month old at home.I also have experience with cats! I personally have four cats (ages 2,2, 2, and 4) who I love dearly. I’m able to administer medicine, feed, and care for all breeds and ages of cats. Generally, I do have a full-time job so pet care is part time for me. I’m saving to buy a house and go on a trip so I’m really looking for extra income. Work takes up my time during the day, but I’m available in the evenings and weekends for pet sitting. I’m also available during holidays and the summer. As of 12/2/25: I am currently not working so I have open availability. I have cats so animals need to be friendly with cats. We dog sat for a few weeks and my cats were friendly with the dogs. If the animals must stay with me, I prefer cats as my schedule makes dog walking from my home challenging. I can do drop ins!

“Roman was Charise’s first ever Rover dog and we were really happy to have connected with her for our 5-day trip. Charise was a great sitter—she sent detailed updates about how Roman was doing with Navi and hope he was settling in while we were away. Her home is very clean and Charise is a very warm and welcoming host. Navi is just the cutest little nugget ever, and I could tell immediately Roman would feel right at home with Charise. Our big GSD is a big baby and throws a bit of a fit every time we leave, but Charise and Navi were patient with him while he warmed up to the idea of us being away—by the time we returned, he was fully integrated into their little family. Roman is allowed on the couch and bed for cuddles, and Charise has a full basement for the dogs to run around and play, a small yard, and she takes them together on long walks. Roman came home fully pooped from a week of playing with Navi and we’ll definitely be using Charise in the future!”
