About: Hi! My name is Jai (rhymes with pie) and I love animals of all kinds! I've had pets my entire life and one of my favorite things is taking them (yes, even my cats) on walks to explore the outdoors and get their exercise in. I'm a teacher looking for a fun summer side gig and I would love to not only feed and walk your pets, but play with them and show them love and affection. I am currently a teacher on summer vacation with some part-time nannying and babysitting work. My schedule is very free and clear this summer to be able to take care of you pets whenever you may need. I split my time between volunteer work, errands, and studying at the library, and I schedule those things around my pet visits. Every dog is different, so I match their needs — feeding schedule, walk times, bathroom breaks, and any special instructions. I keep the home clean, make sure doors and crates are secured, and always double-check leashes, harnesses, and gates before we go out. I pay close attention to behavior and energy levels, especially with anxious dogs or seniors, and I give them plenty of reassurance and calm company. I send updates and photos during each visit so owners feel confident and connected while they’re away. My goal is to make the pet feel safe in their own space and keep everything running smoothly until their family comes home.

About: My husband and I have always been dog people. Growing up he had two labradors and I had a beagle. When we bought our house we adopted a senior lab. We spoiled him as much as we could and loved him unconditionally. After losing Ceasar two years ago, we walked into an animal shelter and that's where our baby, Uru-Kai, stole our hearts. I don't work on weekends, I have holidays off and the summer off. I already have a dog so I know how important it is to stick to a routine. Our current dog goes out on four walks a day. If he needs to go potty because he drank too much water we let him in the back yard. If he seems bored he rings the doorbell to be let in the backyard. When we need to leave the house our dog is put in his crate to ensure that he's safe and stays out of trouble while we're gone.
