“This was our first time using River and I’m happy to have found Jessica. She remembered details about the cats that I shared during our first conversation, and shared many updates and photos from each visit. Thank you!”

“Ellie was very prompt and on time for our initial couple of meetings and the drop in as well. She did very well with our 4 crazy kids and we will use her services again in the future.”
“Parisa was wonderful with my sweet baby while I was gone. She is so good with cats. She also kept me updated, sent me pictures and when I got back I found my place to be still in order and the litter box to be very clean! I will definitely be asking her back!”

“Karli is amazing— she had an excellent rapport with our kitten and played with him the entire time, which is exactly what he needed. I felt confident leaving our little baby in her care, and I will absolutely hire her again. Highly recommended!”

“We are very pleased with our first drop in with Jackie. Our dog is very anxious around all people and Jackie understood Nabi’s special needs, was on time and very communicative! We will be requesting more drop-ins with Jackie!”

“Emily followed all of the instructions provided and was very communicative! My puppy Auggie was well taken care of and I would trust Emily to take care of him again in the future. Thank you!”

“I checked out Amanda’s reviews and was impressed by what I saw. So of course I chose to book with her to come by and care for my two cats while away for a few days. She was so kind and gentle with them and e even was able to pet and play with my very shy cat who has a hard time w/ new visitors. She acknowledged each of my requests and was prompt, careful and understanding. I will definitely book with her again for the next time we are away. We trust her and know that our cats are in good care when we are away. Definitely book with Amanda!”

“Annabel is great at connecting with my cat. He is shy around new people, but he seemed to be comfortable with her right away. He had lots of playtime and pets while we were away. We would definitely book Annabel again!”

“Friendly, reliable & thorough. Angelica gave us so much peace of mind when we were out of town by watching our two cats. She provided ample photos (which we absolutely loved) and took care of any little requests we had in the meantime. By time we were back they made a made a new friend in Angelica. (: Thanks a million!”

About: I’ve grown up with both dogs and cats my entire life, and caring for animals has always been a large part of who I am. I currently have 4 dogs and 4 cats all of different breeds, sizes, and personalities therefore I am comfortable caring for pets with a variety of needs. I have experience giving medication, following feeding schedules, and making sure each pet gets the attention and care they deserve. I also enjoy spending time outside and going for walks. I’m currently a full time pre-nursing student and work PRN as a switchboard operator at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital. Because of my flexible schedule, I’m able to accommodate a variety of pet care needs, including drop in visits, walks, overnight stays, and some last-minute bookings whenever possible. My school schedule is subject to change and being PRN shifts could pop up here and there but I am very flexible and willing to work around what ever possibly comes up. In the aspect of my school schedule I have classes mon/tue/thur/fri. Monday and Friday 11am-12:30pm, Tuesday 9:30am-2:20pm and Thursday 8am-2:20pm. Safety and comfort are a priority to me. Each animal has their own personalities and day to day activities. I would like to know what your pet likes, whether it be extra playing time, going for walks, or even extra attention to make sure they feel the most comfortable at home. I am also comfortable crating a dog if it is needed.
“Kimberly was wonderful! It was stressful leaving our cat for a week, so it was a relief knowing she was being so well cared for. We will definitely check to see if Kimberly is available again.”

“Super sweet. Definitely my new designated cat sitter. My kitties love her!!! Attentive and communicative. You can tell she loves all the pets she watches.”

“We found Sarah through a mutual dog walking friend and we’re so happy to be able to work with her! She’s so communicative and also so flexible with schedule. Highly recommend!”

About: I love animals deeply and treat all pets like my own. Family, friends, coworkers, and neighbors have always felt safe leaving their animals in my care. Plenty of free time as I have just moved back from London completing my masters and taking this summer off and would preferably spend it with more animals! Caring for pets is a natural part of my routine—I’ve always made space in my life for animal companionship (even as I was abroad). Whether it’s morning walks, midday play sessions, or evening cuddles, I genuinely love making animals feel safe and loved throughout the day. Spending time with pets isn’t just a responsibility or a job for me—it’s something I look forward to daily and consider a joyful part of my lifestyle. In the home of my clients I will always look out for choking hazards and ensure I see the animals in my care drinking water. I approach each pet's care with attention to their routine, personality, and comfort. I follow feeding and medication instructions carefully, keep their environment clean/enriched, and make sure they have companionship and mental stimulation. Clear communication with pet parents helps me tailor care to each animal’s unique needs.
About: I have 10 years of experience caring for dogs of varied breeds and sizes. I've fostered several large breed dogs. I've also volunteered at two no-kill shelters to take the dogs waiting for adoption on walks and helping to socialize them. During the winter, I'm very mindful of keeping your pup's feet healthy, and have lots of experience putting on booties to protect their paws or making sure to wash off any salt after our walks if they walk uncovered. I'm familiar with all kinds of harnesses, collars, and leashes. Keeping your pup safe while we are out is my number one concern. I also love to capture photos of your pup to send to you. I'm available for drop-in visits and walks on weekday evenings and any time on Saturdays and Sundays. I don’t have a lot of evening commitments so overnight pet sitting works well for me. We also rarely travel for the holidays. I have a fenced in backyard with locked gates. We always monitor time out in the yard. Non-smoking home with dog gates to keep pups out of off limits areas. Building trust is important, so I approach all dogs calmly and provide them with attention and care according to the owner’s instructions.

About: I’ve always loved and taken care of dogs, so I know what it takes to raise a puppy and giving it all the attention and learning how to train them properly to now taking care of my senior dog and making sure he gets all his proper medications and being able to tell from his behavior if something is wrong. I’m working full time so only evenings work for me on being able to walk or visit your pup but the day does not matter I’m available 7 days a week As a dog owner myself making sure there’s a good fence up and clear line of vision to them is the number one safety when In a home

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Forest Glen
Katelyn took my appointment on very short notice and did an amazing job. She was very accommodating and kept me updated throughout the night while I was out of town at a wedding. I’m very new to leaving my dog with someone and Katelyn made the process very easy for me and did a great job keeping my mind at ease. My dog really liked her and had a great time. I highly recommend booking Katelyn

*Five stars — highly recommend!* Annabel took wonderful care of my English bulldog, Mortimer, and my cats over about a week of drop-in visits and then again for a long weekend. She took Mortimer on daily walks, and — most importantly to me — she was completely reliable about administering his daily medication and managing his eye issues, which gave me real peace of mind while I was away. She also made sure my cats were fed and cared for. Beyond the basics, she clearly spent genuine, quality time with all my animals rather than just rushing through visits. I came home to happy, healthy pets and would trust her again for sure!
This was my first time needing to leave my elderly cat to a sitter in ages, so I was a bit nervous. But Karli was wonderful! Easy to communicate with and coordinate with, and left me plenty of info and photos after the visits. I definitely felt at ease, and plan to work with Karli again in the future!
