“My dog loves Junehe so much and is so excited whenever I tell her she’s coming to see her. I can tell in the photos I receive that she’s happy and relaxed.”

“Lucinda is incredible with our boy! We can tell in all the pictures she takes that he has such a great time with her. She communicates so well. We always look forward to her reviews of how the day went with Cruz - she keeps it creative and always writes something fun and descriptive. Couldn’t recommend her more!”

“Andi is SO GREAT. She walked Ellie again several times this week and it’s been a breeze. She is really knowledgeable about dog psychology and different breeds, has a calm assertive energy and a common sense approach which I appreciate so much. I’ll be booking her services again and would definitely recommend her to others. Andi is just a very pleasant person and I’m so happy we found her! Thank you Andi!!”
About: Having grown up on a 20 acre farm for most of my life, I have cared for all shapes and sizes of animals - from horses to snakes, and everything in between! When I moved into an apartment for college, I missed the "dog energy" in our household and set to volunteering hundreds of hours at the Humane Society, which also included basic training skills and walking the most aggressive 100+lb leash pullers. This later evolved into working at a veterinary clinic where I was trained to monitor recovering animals and administer medications safely and with as little stress as possible through Fear Free certification. Animal body language is my second language! I love the outdoors as much as the indoors, and am more than happy to accommodate medical needs. ♡ If you would like extras taken care of during your pets stay or our visit, such as bathing, grooming, nail trims, or a run, just let me know! My dog, Leo, and I are constantly going on hikes and we are more than happy to tucker your pups out with a day trip, just reach out for rates. I currently work as a Braille Librarian for the state and used to teach Low Vision/Blind learners, and I am also fluent in American Sign Language (ASL), so I have a soft spot for dogs that may be Deaf, Blind, or DeafBlind. To top it all off, I am working on weaseling my way into Guide Dog puppy raising, and all the training tips that come along with that. ( : I commute to Salem Wednesday and Friday, which means my schedule during those days is usually pretty limited to anything after 430pm. Otherwise, my weekends are typically completely free and ready to be filled with whatever your fur babies need! Using the Fear Free method, I work with a pet's body language to determine what will work best in the current situation, and when methods may be effective versus stressful. I am ready to go at your pet's pace with whatever they may need, and clearly communicate the process along the way.
About: I’ve been around animals ever since I was born and I’ve loved them since I met them! I’ve been walking and caring for neighbors, friends, and family’s animals since I was about eight. I’m a student currently, studying biology with an interest in animal behavior. I love animals of all kinds and I would be more than happy to spend time with your fur baby! I’m currently a student at PCC but besides that my schedule is extremely flexible! My classes are about an hour and a half on the week days only. I will do anything you see fit to protect your home and your pets. If I’m there for the day only, I will clean up any toys or messes, feed your pets if you would like me to, give medication if it’s needed, exercise your pets, and lock up when I leave. If I’m there overnight, I will strip the bed I’ve slept in, feed your pets, clean up any messes I’ve made or the animals have made, give medication if it’s needed, spend time with your fur babies, exercise your pets, and lock up overnight and when I leave.
“Helped me out in a last minute request! My pup was so settled after his walks, I knew they had a good time and quality exercise. Also got to meet her dog, very gentle and sweet. 10/10”

“We are very lucky to have Sky nearby to walk our active German shepherd/husky. She has been amazing in communication and taking care of Fury. We really appreciate having Sky around to help and would recommend her to anyone that needs assistance for their fur babies.”

“Thank you for always going above and beyond. We are so appreciative of the great care you take of our dogs. You are so thoughtful in your care! And for all the times you bring in our packages- thank you!”
About: I have a very positive personality that I bring out in all work that I do. I am a practicing Speech Language Pathologist with a 3 year old pup of my own—Louie. I have taken care of pets through rover, as well as used it for my own pet care needs. I moved around the Portland area a bit, so I took a break from Rover, but now my life is more settled and I’m happy to take your fur-babies on walks, or drop in! I live in Mountain Park and would be happy to cover any “last minute” dog needs that you have. My schedule will allow for 1-3 walks/drop in visits per day. My most availability is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I pride myself in being thorough and paying attention to detail. I will follow any and all instructions that you provide. Having a dog of my own, I can supply poop bags and treats if necessary.
About: I have lots of experience with cats and dogs, both owning and pet sitting! I previously worked as a rover sitter a few years ago during my time in the Navy. Now, I’ve recently graduated from Physician Assistant school and am currently waiting to begin my new position, which gives me the perfect opportunity to dedicate my time to something I truly love- caring for animals. I grew up always having a pet in the home, and while I’m getting settled into my new job and home before welcoming my own fur babies, I would be honored to care for yours in the meantime. Your pets will receive plenty of love, attention, and dependable care while you’re away- and I’ll treat them just like family 🐾 I have very open availability right now and for the next few months as I am waiting to begin my new career as a physician assistant :) When caring for pets in their home, I focus on keeping their routine and environment as consistent and stress-free as possible. I follow all feeding, medication, exercise, and potty schedules as instructed, and I take time to learn each pet’s individual preferences, quirks, and comfort needs. I make sure pets receive plenty of attention, playtime, and affection, while also respecting their space if they’re more independent. I keep a close eye on their health and behavior, and I provide regular updates and photos so owners always feel connected and reassured while they’re away. My goal is for pets to feel safe, loved, and relaxed in their own familiar environment until their family returns 🐾
“Jess went above and beyond for our skittish little girl—she even braved a full-on downpour just to make sure she got her walk in. That’s dedication. Thank you, Jess!”

About: Born and raised in rural central California, I've been surrounded by animals ever since I can remember. I've gladly taken on roles of rescuer, caregiver, ear-scratcher, and fur-mama - roles that brought joy and a sense of fulfillment. Currently away from home and unable to have pets of my own, animal care is no longer a part of my daily routine. This has left a void that I'm hoping to fill by helping you care for YOUR fur-babies! Communication is VERY important to me - I totally understand the need to receive regular updates and quality photos and I will happily fulfill it :) I currently work remotely and volunteer part-time. This gives me the flexibility I need to add a little something to some of my non-working/volunteering mornings and afternoons. My current home doesn't allow pets- however, at my previous home, our 2 dogs and 3 of 7 cats were indoor/outdoor. The dogs have a strict feeding schedule with personalized portions and additions to their food. I also give the dogs oral flea meds once a month, and have andministered oral anti-inflammatory meds in the past. The cats have wet food in the morning in the garage, with feeders of dry food to graze throughout the day. While they're relatively independent- I have to give them a lil love whenever me meet.
Maplewood-Ashcreek dog parents share their Rover experiences
Michael is fantastic with our dog-reactive girl. He reads her to see when she'll be able to disengage, when she needs extra help or even when she's over threshold and needs to go home and get cuddles and treats instead. Thank you so much for taking such great care of our doggy on all your walks!

We had a great experience with Tanja. She was always on time, very reliable, and communicated clearly and promptly before and after each walk. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing our dog was in good hands. We really appreciated the consistency and care, and we wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again!

Ben has been helping with my dog the past couple months by dropping in to take her potty and occasionally feeding her. He’s highly communicative and asks clarifying questions. I am very wary of people taking good care of my dog but I trust him completely. He also sends pics and videos, and in the videos my low-energy, often indifferent dog is thrilled to interact with him. I have total peace of mind when we have Ben!
