About: Over 20 years of hands on pet care under my belt. I've been the go to walker and sitter for friends, family, and neighbors across Portland. From energetic malamutes who love winter hikes in Forest Park, to chill cats who want a lap and a scratch. I've handled them all. I know every pup's quirks, keep treats handy, and always come home with wagging tails and happy updates. Reliability is my thing: on time walks, clean pickups, and no drama. About: Having grown up on a 20 acre farm for most of my life, I have cared for all shapes and sizes of animals - from horses to snakes, and everything in between! When I moved into an apartment for college, I missed the "dog energy" in our household and set to volunteering hundreds of hours at the Humane Society, which also included basic training skills and walking the most aggressive 100+lb leash pullers. This later evolved into working at a veterinary clinic where I was trained to monitor recovering animals and administer medications safely and with as little stress as possible through Fear Free certification. Animal body language is my second language! I love the outdoors as much as the indoors, and am more than happy to accommodate medical needs. ♡ If you would like extras taken care of during your pets stay or our visit, such as bathing, grooming, nail trims, or a run, just let me know! My dog, Leo, and I are constantly going on hikes and we are more than happy to tucker your pups out with a day trip, just reach out for rates. I currently work as a Braille Librarian for the state and used to teach Low Vision/Blind learners, and I am also fluent in American Sign Language (ASL), so I have a soft spot for dogs that may be Deaf, Blind, or DeafBlind. To top it all off, I am working on weaseling my way into Guide Dog puppy raising, and all the training tips that come along with that. ( : I commute to Salem Wednesday and Friday, which means my schedule during those days is usually pretty limited to anything after 430pm. Otherwise, my weekends are typically completely free and ready to be filled with whatever your fur babies need! Using the Fear Free method, I work with a pet's body language to determine what will work best in the current situation, and when methods may be effective versus stressful. I am ready to go at your pet's pace with whatever they may need, and clearly communicate the process along the way.

About: Animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember, and I’ve never let myself go without having a dog. For over 25 years I’ve cared for pets of all ages, breeds, and temperaments - puppies through seniors, anxious rescues, and high-energy dogs. Your animal is part of my family while they’re here, not just a guest and I genuinely enjoy having more dogs around, as does my dog! I’m in SW Portland with my Greater Swiss Mountain Dog Layla, and I provide you with updates so you can actually relax while you’re away. I work mostly from home, which means plenty of outdoor breaks and consistent supervision throughout the day. My Greater Swiss Mountain Dog, Layla, is two years old, easygoing, and great with all sizes — she just loves having a friend around. My kids (10 and 14) are here half the time and are natural animal lovers, so your pet will have no shortage of company and attention. About: I've taken care of dogs all my life since childhood. I have provided them with love and care medical care and one on one time during walks, traveling to different dog parks, and beach trips! Dogs provide me with emotional support and assists me with outside activities to keep me going. Every few hours I am caring for dogs and they're helping me. We are a team. I want to extend my love and care to your pet while you are away. Being their friend while they're being my friend. I'm currently a remote worker from home. So they will have access to me at my home 24/7. Our daily current schedule is as follows. 5am wake up 530 potty time 9am breakfast and walk 2pm long walk 5-6pm Dinner 8pm+ Quiet time with our blankets and dog TV time I have a secured apartment and we always make sure the dogs are leashes first before opening the door to go outside. I am conveniently located next door to a local bike path where we walk and run.

About: I have a 4 year old excitable spaniel of my own who certainly keeps my life exciting! I have always lived with dogs and can’t imagine it any other way. But I also love cats! Nearly all my friends have cats and I have lots of experience pet-sitting for many of them. I love spending time around animals and would love to take care of yours! I have a full-time 8-5 job, but do have flexibility within my week. I wfh at least one day a week - sometimes more. Evenings and weekends are usually super open for me! But feel free to reach out about availability as my schedule fluctuates often. I have a small fenced yard with space for your pup to potty and run. I also have a friendly dog of my own to keep yours company. I have a crate that can be used if your pup likes a place to settle. My furniture is my dogs furniture and it would be the same for your furry friend too! I also have an animal loving roommate - so double the love.

About: I have a dog with seizures and I understand how much care is needed to care for him. I will treat your dog(s) with that same care and significance. I work early morning hours Thursday through Monday. I'm off work by 10:30am and can be available to walk, feed, administer medicatios and do drop in visits 7 days a week. I live in an apartment downtown that has a secured entry. I have a collapsible travel kennel that can hold a small to medium sized dog, I also have a wood kennel that can hold a pet up to 20lbs with plenty of room to spare. My 20lb Boston Terrier fits in it comfortably with enough room to stand up and turn around without any discomfort.

About: Hello! I'm just a natural born animal lover and have been surrounded by them all my life. I have over 15years experience working with animals in veterinary care and have a B.S in Animal Health Sciences. I have had experience with just about every breed and temperament of dog there is. While my passion is for dogs that does not mean I don't also love cats and have never been without one for a pet. My experience also includes caring for reptiles, rodents, pigs and even primates! My most fulfilling work was my time working as an animal health technician in an animal shelter. It brought me pure heartbreak and pure joy. It was so sad to see what conditions brought the animals to the shelter but was also rewarding knowing that I was making a difference in their lives. During my time working in shelters, I gained experience interacting with both shy dogs and aggressive dogs and am comfortable with both. While I've always had pets, I stepped away from working with animals to work in health care some years ago. I really miss the interaction with animals and caring for them. It is my one true passion. I feel I have an instinct into how an animal is feeling and am able to meet that need. I will always make sure your pet feels comfortable and secure. I'm currently working part-time in health care so have plenty of time open to care for your pet. I mostly have afternoons, evenings and weekends available. While in your home I will take all measures to ensure that your pet is safe and secure. We will leave no doors open and will always have a dog on a leash before walking out the door.

I’m a wedding and family photographer, and I share my home with a sweet corgi named Frankie and a cat named Becky. My goal is to make sure your dog feels safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I work from home, so your dog will enjoy plenty of neighborhood walks, lots of cuddle time during the day, and fun play sessions in the backyard! Spacious/ quiet home, no kids, fenced yard.
