Dog Walking In Far Southwest Portland, OR

About: Having grown up on a 20 acre farm for most of my life, I have cared for all shapes and sizes of animals - from horses to snakes, and everything in between! When I moved into an apartment for college, I missed the "dog energy" in our household and set to volunteering hundreds of hours at the Humane Society, which also included basic training skills and walking the most aggressive 100+lb leash pullers. This later evolved into working at a veterinary clinic where I was trained to monitor recovering animals and administer medications safely and with as little stress as possible through Fear Free certification. Animal body language is my second language! I love the outdoors as much as the indoors, and am more than happy to accommodate medical needs. ♡ If you would like extras taken care of during your pets stay or our visit, such as bathing, grooming, nail trims, or a run, just let me know! My dog, Leo, and I are constantly going on hikes and we are more than happy to tucker your pups out with a day trip, just reach out for rates. I currently work as a Braille Librarian for the state and used to teach Low Vision/Blind learners, and I am also fluent in American Sign Language (ASL), so I have a soft spot for dogs that may be Deaf, Blind, or DeafBlind. To top it all off, I am working on weaseling my way into Guide Dog puppy raising, and all the training tips that come along with that. ( : I commute to Salem Wednesday and Friday, which means my schedule during those days is usually pretty limited to anything after 430pm. Otherwise, my weekends are typically completely free and ready to be filled with whatever your fur babies need! Using the Fear Free method, I work with a pet's body language to determine what will work best in the current situation, and when methods may be effective versus stressful. I am ready to go at your pet's pace with whatever they may need, and clearly communicate the process along the way.

About: I have a very positive personality that I bring out in all work that I do. I am a practicing Speech Language Pathologist with a 3 year old pup of my own—Louie. I have taken care of pets through rover, as well as used it for my own pet care needs. I moved around the Portland area a bit, so I took a break from Rover, but now my life is more settled and I’m happy to take your fur-babies on walks, or drop in! I live in Mountain Park and would be happy to cover any “last minute” dog needs that you have. My schedule will allow for 1-3 walks/drop in visits per day. My most availability is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I pride myself in being thorough and paying attention to detail. I will follow any and all instructions that you provide. Having a dog of my own, I can supply poop bags and treats if necessary.

About: Loved and cared for my dog for 15 years but she has sadly passed; I also regularly dog-sit for friends. I genuinely love spending time with dogs and enjoy taking them for walks, on hikes, or playing at the park. I work well with any type of dog personality, high energy or shy. Whether your dog just needs a stop in visit or a walk, I will spend my time bonding with your pet and making sure that he/she is comfortable around me. My goal is to make a new furry friend and give it the attention and love it is missing while you are away from home! I’ve had both dogs and cats my entire life, caring for breeds of all sizes; from small companions to large, high-energy dogs. I also grew up on a farm, where I was surrounded by and responsible for a wide variety of animals, that gave me a strong understanding of different temperaments and needs. I’m the go-to pet sitter for my family and friends, and I treat every pet like they’re my own. I also have hands on experience working in veterinary clinics, including administering medications and supporting animals with different health needs. Above all, I truly love what I do. You can count on me to provide a safe, attentive, and loving environment where your pets feel comfortable, cared for, and happy while you’re away. I work full-time during the week, so weekends will typically be my only availability. Sundays are my preferred days, but if you need me during Saturdays just message me and I can make it work! I understand how scary it can be for pets to meet new people, so when caring for them in someone else’s home, I focus on keeping their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. About: I’ve taken care of my dog since I was 10 and begged my parents for him. I adore all dogs and will treat yours like my own. I love being active and playing with dogs. This past year I’ve volunteered to walk dogs at the local shelter too. I am a student athlete in college, so responsibility and care is something I understand very well. I am a hard worker and will communicate every step of the way. I am a college student with a very flexible schedule and I am also starting summer break soon. I have plenty of time to care for pups and give them the love they deserve! I have lots of experience dog sitting in client’s homes and will treat your home like it is my own. I always make sure to clean and lock up after, so you can feel confident that your home is safe. I will follow all instructions given to care for the pups and communicate well if any questions or issues come up.
