“Tommy is amazing! Our family so appreciates the daily walks Tommy gave our dog. He waited eagerly for Tommy to arrive every day! I would highly recommend Tommy to anybody, and our family will be sure to use his services again! Can't say enough. Thank you Tommy!”

“Teryx loves Karly and her dog Nova. Karly has always been very dependable and gives us pertinent updates on Teryx’s behavior. We trust that she deeply cares for our dog and understands our needs as dog owners, too. We are lucky to have Karly to be around our dog regularly.”

“Kai is wonderful and picks up on all my fur babies traits without me even mentioning anything. Which shows me that they are being ever so present with her, and I adore that.”

“Tanja was wonderful with our dog (goldendoodle puppy) She was very responsive to our last minute request for a week of dog walking and was very communicative regarding how the walks went (updates, pictures etc). Will definitely use her again!”

“Felicia has been walking Mocha regularly for a few weeks now and we have nothing but glowing reviews! She is an excellent communicator and very in tune with our Mocha and building trust with a nervous pup. Recently, our dog has been recovering from an injury and Felicia has done such a great job adjusting her activities with Mocha to fit her needs right now 😊”

“Cindy is great. She has walked our dog several times now and we are excited to continue working with her! We had never used a dog walker before and it’s safe to say we are a bit over-concerned dog parents. On top of that, our pup Mosley is extremely shy and fearful of new people and places so I was anxious to onboard someone to walk him. Cindy has been extremely patient, communicative, and kind with both us and Mosley. She gives plenty of updates and is happy to receive feedback about our pup, which has made us feel extremely comfortable. It’s a big decision to let someone into your home and trust them with your treasured fur baby and we made the right choice with Cindy.”

“Melody is lovely with my Leo! She is very attentive and understanding of dog behavior and lets my very sniffy guy go on nose walks leading the way. He adores her and I love knowing my boy is well taken care of and getting his physical and mental exercise when I’m at work!”

About: I’ve helped raised my yellow Labrador since he was a puppy and have two bunnies. I have helped with training, medical support (medication and following vets orders). I work from home and can be able to stay with your dog at home. I’m available most days and hours due to my flexibility at work. I treat my dog and animals like part of my family. I will make sure that I follow all of the clients specific regimens (feeding schedule) and other important dog specific routines. It is very important to me that the dog is well cared for.
About: I’ve raised two puppies from 9 weeks old, and know how important socialization, positive training, exercise, and good pets. I’ve been a neighborhood dog walker since middle school, and have experience with dogs of all ages and sizes. I have successfully house trained, crate trained, and recall trained a few dogs in my time, but I love spending time with dogs however they need, whether that’s training, walks, or just getting some good pets. I’m a student, so pet care like walking or smaller amounts of time works for me most weekdays, and longer per care like overnights is best for weekends. I mostly want to take of your dog according to your needs and your dogs needs. If your dog needs to be let out regularly, needs to be crated, requires lots of exercise or play, or needs specific training elements, Im happy to provide all of that. For dogs of appropriate ability, I really enjoy long walks around the neighborhood or nearby parks.
“Seth was incredibly patient with my anxious pup who gets stressed around new people. He clearly has a strong understanding of working with dogs and he developed a lot of trust with my dog in a short period of time. His daily updates and pictures were much appreciated. He even did some training with my pup as a way to build trust and confidence in her. We can’t wait to hire Seth again!”

“Ivory goes above and beyond to give our pups a great walk and attention while we are at work. Both dogs happy and tired in the evening. Ivory is quick to communicate with us and takes great pictures of dogs each walk. We highly recommend Ivory!”

“Jenni is great. She has helped us get our high energy dog out for walks while we are at work. She is patient with our little pup, and he always seems happy on days they walk. She always takes great pictures of our dog, and is very communicative about what is going on with our dog. Would definitely recommend her.”

About: Most of my experience is with dogs but I have cared for several of my friends cats while they were away, along with multi-pet households. I recently lost my sweet girl Bella, the pit bull, and watching friends' and families' pets has brought me a lot of joy. I am innately drawn to animals which led me to a degree in animal behavior. I have administered medications for my own elderly dogs and understand the patience needed for both seniors and puppies (and kittens!). I am active so exercising high-energy dogs is no problem either. I would be comfortable with other kinds of pets to (lizards, birds). I follow instructions to a T and am very reliable. You let me know what you need, and I'll take care of it. I also respect the needs of individual animals- they all have different personalities and should be treated as so. I hope I get to meet you and your companions! I currently work a hybrid remote job that I get to pick and choose my hours and when they are worked. Occasionally, I need to be in the office for 2-6 hours at a time but if booked far enough ahead, I can limit that more. Most of my job is admin and can be done anywhere. I am also allowed to bring pets to work so if you are comfortable with that, we can talk about that if is helpful for your needs. I currently have no pets (just lost my favorite girl recently) and it is what motivated me to start professionally sitting although I have done it for friends and family as a side gig for years. My pets were always my priority. They are part of the family. When I watch other's pets I make sure I take notes when they give me instructions and I refer back to any instructions they provided to make sure I have it all figured out. I want people to feel safe and relaxed when they are either away at work or away on vacation and not have to worry about being bothered by the sitter constantly (unless they want photo updates, of course!). I have stayed over at people's houses and definitely just stick to whatever boundaries they have laid out. I have also had other's pets in my home. I have a backyard that is fully fenced. I am very attentive and get joy out of having them around, even the grumpy ones! My partner and I have been together for 13 years. He is an animal lover as well and works a lot so if boarding in my home his interactions would be limited but we could arrange for meeting him as well in case there were any concerns. When I go to others houses, I go solo, always.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Reed
Violet is the sweetest! My pup is unusually anxious right now, as we're new to Portland. But Violet met Heidi where she was at-- letting her sit, sniff, or walk at her own pace, and was just so considerate. Heidi came back home a happy, tail-wagging girl! And so we've already booked Violet for future dates. 10/10 can easily recommend!!
