About: As a pet parent to two dogs and a cat, I know firsthand how important it is to maintain a pet's daily routine in their own comfortable environment. Because I work from home, I bring my flexible schedule directly to you, providing dedicated sitting and drop-in care without leaving your pets alone for long hours. You can relax knowing your home will be respected and your animals will receive attentive companionship, regular exercise, and plenty of love. I'm currently working from home with a flexible schedule so I'll have plenty of time to care for your pets. I'm available weekends, most afternoons and evenings. I'll stick to your pet's routine in their own home, giving your fur baby the company/exercise they need and giving you peace of mind while you're away!
“Tommy has been a great addition to my dogs' routines. One is very active and the other isn't. Tommy is attentive and has my dogs excited to be with him. He is a joy to work with and is communicative and flexible. I cannot recommend him enough.”

“Tanja helped us once again with midday walks for Moose and Midas. She's reliable and communicates well. Thank you, especially for your flexibility with the booking!”

About: Helping Pets Feel Safe, Seen & Understood Animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up surrounded by everything from chickens and horses to dogs, cats, birds, and even rescued squirrels. Today I share my home with my charismatic black cat, Pippa, and caring for animals continues to be one of the most meaningful parts of my life. My approach is calm, observant, and deeply respectful of each animal's individual personality. Some pets want endless play, some need patience before they'll trust you, and others simply appreciate a quiet companion who understands their routine. Over time I've discovered that one of my greatest strengths is noticing the little things.. changes in behavior, energy, appetite, comfort, or mood that others might overlook. I enjoy getting to know each pet as an individual and adapting my care to what helps them feel safest and happiest. Whether your companion is young and energetic, shy, senior, or has special needs, my goal is always the same: to help them feel secure, loved, and well cared for while you're away. You'll receive thoughtful updates, photos, and open communication throughout every visit so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pet is in caring hands. I look forward to meeting both you and your animal companion. 🐾 *Additional services* Over the years, I've developed experience as an animal communicator alongside my work caring for animals. While every visit above includes attentive, compassionate care and careful observation, some families are looking for a deeper level of support and connection with their companion. For those interested, I offer the following optional extended services, designed to complement—not replace—excellent veterinary care and your pet's regular routine. ✨ Animal Communication Session (+$20) Includes an additional 30 minutes solo with your pet (or with both you and your pet if you're home) beyond the scheduled visit. Following our session, you'll receive a detailed email or voice note sharing the observations, impressions, and intuitive insights I experienced during our time together. Many clients enjoy these sessions as a way to better understand their companion's unique personality, preferences, and emotional world. 🌿 End-of-Life Companion Support (+$25) Includes an additional 30-minute consultation with you and your pet alongside your scheduled drop-in visit. This service is designed to offer compassionate support during one of the most difficult chapters of loving an animal. Together we can discuss quality-of-life observations, your pet's changing needs, and any intuitive insights that may help bring greater clarity or peace during the process. While I am not a veterinarian and do not provide medical advice, I am honored to support you and your companion alongside your veterinary team's recommendations. If you're curious about either of these offerings or would like to know whether they're a good fit for your pet, please don't hesitate to reach out. I'm always happy to answer questions and chat about what would best support you and your animal companion💕 My Current Schedule: I typically work 9a-5p Saturday-Tuesdays, with availability before or after those hours and open anytime Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. There's some flexibility with this schedule too so if there are needs outside what is listed please reach out and we can see if other hours would work too! What to Expect During Our Meet & Greet: My goal is to help your animal companion feel safe, comfortable, and as close to their normal routine as possible while you're away. During our meet & greet, I'll take time to get to know both you and your pet. We'll go over their daily routine, feeding schedule, exercise needs, favorite toys and activities, medications (if applicable), and any unique quirks or preferences that help them feel happy and secure. I pay close attention to each pet's individual personality and adapt my care accordingly, always meeting them where they are rather than expecting them to adjust to me. This is also a great opportunity for you to ask questions, share any concerns, and help me learn how I can provide the very best care for your companion.
“Lyle showed up in the pouring rain! Very punctual, great communication, professional and reliable. My 2 year old cattle dog is tired after their walks and that’s not an easy task. THANK YOU!!!”
“Kai is wonderful and picks up on all my fur babies traits without me even mentioning anything. Which shows me that they are being ever so present with her, and I adore that.”

About: I grew up in rural midwest with dogs, cats, and guinea pigs since I was 9. I was a dedicated and loving dog mama to my beloved bernese mountain dog, Riker, for 9.5 years and I miss him very much. I enjoyed taking my boy to thousand acres, Mt. Tabor, and several other dog parks and we've gone on many hikes on the coast, in the gorge, and in Mt. Hood forest. I have special connections with my friends' animals and I've enjoyed taking their dogs for walks since my boy passed last March. I'm a fourth-year doctoral graduate student at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) meaning my schedule can be pretty flexible. I have two full days of clinic per week and fill the rest of the week with writing and research. When I'm not in clinic I can work with my schedule to take your fur baby on walks, check in on them to let them out, or schedule an adventure! I can also come house sit or invite your pet over for the day or extended stay. I have a fenced in backyard with ample space for throwing the ball or lounging in the sun on a picnic blanket. We also live very close to a park for on leash walks or park hangs. Our fur baby passed in March 2026 but our one-level house is still set up to be accessible with rugs on the wood flooring for traction, plenty of blankets and comfy spots to sleep, and easy access to the back yard (just two steps). We allow animals on furniture but respect your rules if that's a boundary of yours!
About: We’ve all been there. Concert tickets in hand, no one to bail you out. The encore is gonna rip but it’s been 5 hours since your ninja has been fed. I gotchu! Enjoy the show! I’d love to help the same pets over and over again. No renegade owners or abusers Hit the town or enjoy the concert. I’m just relaxing. Your schedule is mine and mine isn’t in the way of your fun! Water, food, excrement. No particular order but all 3 are a must! Funny fish tank videos and WU-Tang instrumentals. Prolly some fetch and feats of strength.

About: Hi! I’m a huge animal lover and have cared for just about every kind of pet over the years — dogs, cats, birds, frogs, chickens, and more. I currently have a cat named Karen… and yes, she absolutely lives up to her name 😹 I’ve done dog walking and pet sitting for friends for years and am comfortable with pets of all ages, sizes, and temperaments. I love getting to know each pet’s unique personality and making sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for while you’re away. I also work from home, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to be reliable and attentive with walks, drop-ins, and visits. Whether your doggo needs exercise or your meower just wants some company and cuddles, I’m happy to help! I work from home, so I have a pretty flexible schedule! I’m available most weekdays and weeknights, and can also accommodate some weekends depending on the request. At this time I’m unable to board pets in my home, but I do offer dog walking and drop-in visits in clients’ homes. I always aim to make pets feel comfortable, safe, and cared for in their familiar environment. For dogs, that may look like walks, playtime, fresh water/food, potty breaks, and lots of attention. For cats and other pets, I’m happy to help with feeding, litter box cleaning, playtime, cuddles (if they want them!), and general check-ins. I understand every pet has a different personality and routine, and I do my best to follow their normal schedule closely while you’re away.

“I’m so glad to know my dog has a new friend that cares for her so much. Alicia is great with dogs, especially the shy ones (like mine). She’s so thoughtful with her Rover report card and always includes awesome pics of my dog!”

“Teryx loves Karly and her dog Nova. Karly has always been very dependable and gives us pertinent updates on Teryx’s behavior. We trust that she deeply cares for our dog and understands our needs as dog owners, too. We are lucky to have Karly to be around our dog regularly.”

About: Hello! My name is Marcela and I am originally from Guatemala. I am 27 years old and I live in SE Portland. I am a circus artist and an animal lover and will care for your best friend as if they were mine. I can walk your pet, play ball with them, or simply make sure they are comfortable and happy! Feel free to send me specific directions if your dog has a particular allergy, diet or requires any play or exercise. I live with a puppy and a kitten and I love them dearly so unfortunately for the time being I am unable to host. My puppy is staying with grandma until next week so I have some availability these days. Whether your pet is playful and energetic or mellow and easy going, I will match their mood and make sure they have the best possible time while away from you. I look forward to meeting your pet! Lastly, I want to make sure no one has to come home to a messy space and will ensure you bedding, kitchen and common areas are clean and ready for you to relax when you return. If you would like me to also do a deep clean of your home or any specific area, I am happy to add that as an additional service :) I work from home so and am available most days! Id be happy to work alongside your fur baby or check on them and take them out during my breaks. My schedule is quite flexible especially if I know ahead of time so I can prepare accordingly :) My goal is to help your pet feel at home and safe while you are away. Please let me know any and all things I can do to comfort and entertain them so their time spent away from you goes smoothly and quickly!
About: As a beloved hardcore pet lover and owner, I truly know the need for reassurance while away on a trip or if you’re simply consumed with other life priorities and need to book attention and care for your pets. ❤️❤️❤️ Cats win my heart but dogs have all the extra characteristics and fun loving energy that I cherish as well. I absolutely love watching all. I am beyond excited to return to my home city Portland, after a year of traveling in Guam and Japan. So so thrilled to return to pet sitting! I live in a two level loft apartment with balcony across from a beautiful park and campus in SE portland, with reliable transportation. Most of bookings are feedings and or housesitting at your place where your pets are most comfortable. Dogs can be in my home as long as they are okay with other dogs, otherwise all care will be at the clients home, walks, or various other requested play dates. Just let me know what you need!

For the last 1.5 years, Sequoia has been adding joy to my dog’s life with all her adventurous walks. Not only does Sequoia send me updates about how my dog (Laika) did that day, she also adds little but important details about their walk together! This lets me imagine what a great time Laika had on her walk. A happy dog makes for a very happy dog-mom, and I don’t feel quite as guilty while at work. Thanks, Sequoia, for being so wonderful! We appreciate all you do.

Julian did a great job with Bear! They walked and fed him with no problem and they were very communicative throughout the whole process of us being away from our pets. Julian was very professional, reassured us of Bear's safety, and looked after Bear with so much care. Will be using Julian for the future! Thank you so much!!

I was apprehensive about using Rover, but I needed help during a recent work trip and hired Raphael. I'm glad I did. He was attentive, communicative, and accommodating with my schedule which included 3 walks per day, one of which was an hour. I would recommend working with Raphael to take care of your pets and for peace of mind. Thanks!
