“We tried the drop in service today and it gave me such piece of mind knowing Dash was entertained rather than sitting at home alone. Tommy was quick to respond and very accommodating. Dash came home happy and sleepy. A++”

“Thank you for watching Lilith! This was our first time using Rover, I was pretty anxious after drop off but your messages reassured me that things would be ok.”

“Allen was very responsive from the time I booked a meet & greet to when he took care of my dog, Kau Kau. He also was very patient with her since she does have some separation anxiety and I appreciated that very much. I definitely would recommend Allen as a doggy daycare option. Thanks.”

“Serena is great! I love that whenever I leave Theo in her care, I know he’s going to get nice and tired playing with Nugget, and I appreciate the updates I get throughout the day. 10/10 definitely recommend and we will keep coming to Serena!”

“Sequoia took great care of my 1 year old Great Pyrenees puppy, providing good communication. My pup came home happy and tired from playing with her canine pals. Will book again!”

“Catherine is super knowledgeable about pups (and even did extra research on our puppy’s breed). Poppy felt comfortable at the meet and greet and seemed to fit right in with Jack and Daisy. She had a great time and I felt confident that she was well cared for.”

“Margaret provides top- notch care for my pup! I bring my puppy to her for daycare while I'm at work, and I am so grateful to have chosen such a great place for her. Margaret is knowledgeable about dogs and provides focused care. Sloane is always very excited when we arrive, and spends the whole day playing with other dogs... she's also made best friends with Margaret's cat! It's truly been a great experience. I highly recommend Margaret and her care!”
“Great first-time experience. So appreciate Anastasia's calm and warm manner with my pup. It was great to know that she was in good hands while I was at work, staying cool and getting some social playtime too! Thank you!”

“Chelsea has been awesome with my pups, and they love playing with her dogs as well. Their stay has been great. They’re tuckered out and happy every day I’ve picked them up after daycare 💞”

“Veronica took excellent care of our 13.5 year old Penny Lane. She took her on a walk with her pups and sent multiple photos throughout the day which we so appreciated. Veronica is a conscientious person who understands dog behavior. We wouldn't hesitate to ask Veronica to look after Penny Lane again in the future. Thank you, Veronica!”

“Bridgitte is always great with our little rescue dog. We always get pictures of them out taking walks, and she takes our dog out to public places like restaurants which is good for her socialization. Bridgitte is super friendly and personable, and couldn't be easier to work with.”
“Jamie had a wonderful time! Linda is great to work with, flexible and accommodating. I ran late to pick him up due to traffic and she was able to work it out. Jamie would definitely be happy going to see her again. And we will rebook thanks.”

About: I moved to Portland in 2004. My only requirement was that we live next to a dog park so that I could have a dog. My first dog a was a great Dane pitbull mix named Virgil. We got him out of shelter in Tacoma Washington. Then came Lucy, she was a Rottweiler that got dumped on the streets of Portland. At the time we still had two cats, Jack and Ernie. Then my father-in-law came to live with us with his yellow lab named Sabrina. Boy was it a houseful! We all learned together how to coexist. I was so happy to be surrounded by so many wonderful pets. It was trying for sure, but we managed. As the years went by eventually we lost all of them. In 2014 I adopted Thelma a boxer mix who became my everything. I lost Thelma in November and I cannot bring myself to adopt again for a while, yet there is something missing. I need to be around animals. My partner and I have taken care of every type of dogs from the easy to the most difficult. We have taken care of puppies and seniors. Dogs that were needy and the highly independent ones. Right now, my partner and I are working opposite schedules. There will always be someone in the house. My availability is open to any schedule. I have a fenced backyard. My house is very dog friendly. It is all one floor. The whole house is open for pets. I can crate if preferred, but not necessary
“Hannah and Blake did a wonderful job with Clancy. We had photos of his activities during the day and could see that he was having a great time. He came home tired and clean (we opted for a bath). Thank you from Clancy too.”

“Mark agreed to care for my dog on short notice which I really appreciate. He was extremely communicative and was aware of my dog’s anxiety issues. Since I was booking from out of town, we never had a chance for a meet and greet, so my dog was pretty wary at the beginning. But Mark allowed him to move at his own pace and his dogs were very welcoming. Mark let me know how he was doing right away and sent me a lovely video. Mark was also very flexible with the pickup time. My dog did really well there. We can definitely recommend Mark!”

“Bailey had a great day hanging with Eric and major the black lab. Eric sent a ton of updates and photos so I always knew Bailey was in good hands and being taken care of - would absolutely use Eric again!”

“Cindy was great with my puppy! My pup was afraid of leaving the house/ walks, and she and her two dogs really brought him out of his shell. He had a blast running and playing with her two dogs all day in their backyard. Cindy has a flexible schedule, is responsive and great with updates throughout the day. Overall pleasure having Cindy dog sit. I’ll be using Cindy again to watch my baby in the future!”

The median cost per day for doggy day care in Reed is $40
Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Reed
We have a 3 yr. old rescue that came to us 18 months ago with separation anxiety and a caution not to leave him alone in our home or garage. We have only left him with a friend 3 times for 2 hrs or less. And only periodically for 1/2 days @ doggie DAY care. We have invested much time and money in training him and he’s made a lot of progress but we didn’t want him to have any setbacks. He’s being trained to be a service dog for my husband who has dementia. We knew Jude spent 5 months in foster care mostly around men and he has bonded with a couple of men who help us at home. He also had a reactivity to men with beards, baseball caps and mirrored sunglasses. We carefully and purposefully selected Tommy to be Jude’s first Rover experience. The weather was record high temperatures and he made sure our Jude and several others were as comfortable as possible. The many photos showed all doing well. The meet and greet in park a few days earlier was much appreciated and went exceptionally well, including Tommy’s big happy-go-lucky Omar. In our conversation it was clear Tommy has a true gift for dogs. Some reviews describe him as a “dog whisperer” Some say he’s a good “soul”. I agree full heartedly with those reviews and more - if dog’s had a soul, I’d say he instantly becomes their “soulmates”.

Birdie was scandalized by not being immediately idolized by the rest of the dogs at Dahlia’s and that put her in a grumpy mood, but Dahlia got her out for a walk/distractions and made her feel more comfy and amenable. Thanks for making Birdie feel at home and for the cute pics 😊

Allen did a fantastic job with Huey! He was entirely professional by suggesting a meet and greet with the pups to ensure there was not hostility or aggression. He was very easy to communicate with and was sure to send lots of updates and pictures! I felt very comfortable that he was in good hands as Allen was clearly very knowledgeable about dogs. He can manage multiple dogs in his large yard without any worry as he is very attentive. Would highly recommend Allen!
