I'm a fourth-year doctoral graduate student at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) meaning my schedule can be pretty flexible. I have two full days of clinic per week and fill the rest of the week with writing and research. When I'm not in clinic I can work with my schedule to take your fur baby on walks, check in on them to let them out, or schedule an adventure! I can also come house sit or invite your pet over for the day or extended stay.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a fenced in backyard with ample space for throwing the ball or lounging in the sun on a picnic blanket. We also live very close to a park for on leash walks or park hangs. Our fur baby passed in March 2026 but our one-level house is still set up to be accessible with rugs on the wood flooring for traction, plenty of blankets and comfy spots to sleep, and easy access to the back yard (just two steps). We allow animals on furniture but respect your rules if that's a boundary of yours!

A typical day
I love going for walks to check out new smells in my neighborhood or at the big park across the street from my home. I have a large backyard to play fetch, tug, or have a picnic. I'll talk to your pets and give them plenty of love and cuddles during our time together.

Pet care experience
I grew up in rural midwest with dogs, cats, and guinea pigs since I was 9. I was a dedicated and loving dog mama to my beloved bernese mountain dog, Riker, for 9.5 years and I miss him very much. I enjoyed taking my boy to thousand acres, Mt. Tabor, and several other dog parks and we've gone on many hikes on the coast, in the gorge, and in Mt. Hood forest. I have special connections with my friends' animals and I've enjoyed taking their dogs for walks since my boy passed last March.
Reviews
I have personally seen Kate take care of many cats and dogs. I would 100% trust her with the wellbeing and safety of my own animals!
Kate’s provided exceptional care for our beloved 9-year-old Bernese Mountain Dog throughout his entire life, from puppy classes and training good behavior to taking him on invigorating hikes at nearby parks and forests. In his final months, despite age related mobility challenges, she remained patient, gentle, and attentive. She administering meds on schedule, assisted with gentle walks, and would send me daily photos that showed him relaxed and content. Our boy was always happy and well cared for, a true testament to her deep love for dogs of all ages. I trusted her completely and would recommend her to any family.
