About: Hi there! My name is Janae, and I live in SE Portland. I have years of experience taking care of my pets, pets for others, and even fostering! I've taken care of all breed sizes, from small to large, and everything in between! I love and will be happy to take care of any breed. I understand each pet is different and has different needs. I understand how to treat every pet like the unique, lovable family member that they are! I've even worked with pets that have special needs, and know how to give gentle love and support. About: I have been caring for a variety of animals since I was young. I grew up with dogs and participated in 4-H for 10 years, where I worked with and showed dogs, horses, and goats at the fair. I have also provided dog and cat sitting services on and off for many years, including walking, playing with, and feeding animals. My experience includes caring for a puppy under one year old, where I helped with potty training, as well as an elderly husky who required additional care and attention. While working at a zoo, I also regularly handled a variety of animals, including snakes, turtles, birds, armadillos, and more. Overall, I have experience with animals of all ages and needs, including puppy training and senior animal care. I am currently planning to attend school part time (online classes) so I will have plenty of time to spend with your pet(s) in between homework assignments! I have a large yard with 5-foot fencing surrounding the entire property. Depending on each pet’s needs, I enjoy taking dogs for walks around the neighborhood or on adventures such as a shorter hike or walk in a nearby park. My goal with every pet I care for is to make sure they feel comfortable, relaxed, and leave their time with me as a positive experience. I have a lot of experience reading pets’ individual needs and understanding what helps build trust and a positive relationship, whether that means treats, playtime, quality time, patience, or simply providing a calm and comfortable space.

We needed care for our two dogs pretty last minute and were so happy to be accommodated! We have a 10-month-old pup with plenty of energy and a 6-year-old dog, and both of them were so well taken care of throughout the day. It gave us a lot of peace of mind knowing they were somewhere safe and being looked after, especially with such short notice. We also really appreciated all of the photos and updates throughout the day. It was so nice getting to see what they were up to and knowing they were comfortable and having a good time. When we picked them up, both dogs were absolutely pooped and ready to sleep the rest of the evening, which is probably the best review they could give themselves! Definitely the sign of a fun, well-spent day. We’re really appreciative of the care they received and would happily book again!
These past few months have been an amazing experience for Kate! She is kind and does a wonderful job taking care of our puppy Levi. Prior to Kate we faced a difficult experience with another sitter and were a bit worried when searching for a new sitter. We stumbled upon Kate and had a beautiful experience from then on. It was an honor to have her sit Levi and we will forever be grateful! 💗 Thank you so, so, so much Kate!!
Thank you soooo much to Daisy for providing the best care for our special bulldog chunk! Even with breathing issues and sometimes being hyper, she dealt with everything so well and I could tell chunk was right at home with her. He didn’t want to leave! It made us so happy to get pics of him looking so content at her place. She made sure he was safe as well. We will definitely book again.
Mark agreed to care for my dog on short notice which I really appreciate. He was extremely communicative and was aware of my dog’s anxiety issues. Since I was booking from out of town, we never had a chance for a meet and greet, so my dog was pretty wary at the beginning. But Mark allowed him to move at his own pace and his dogs were very welcoming. Mark let me know how he was doing right away and sent me a lovely video. Mark was also very flexible with the pickup time. My dog did really well there. We can definitely recommend Mark!
