About: I think that the reputation that cats have of being aloof and uncaring is highly undeserved. I found the vast majority of cats that I have interacted with to be emotionally available, sensitive, and possessing of great memory. I find that once you understand that cats are generally more anxious and timid than they are apathetic you will have a very easy time bonding with them. Cats need to bond on their own terms and cats need space to be temporarily unobserved.
