“Tommy is very friendly (to me and my dog). I really appreciated the flexibility of his schedule, because I had to drop Cornelius off very early in the morning. The pictures that Tommy sent me looked like Cornelius was comfortable and happy with his new dog friends. Tommy was communicated great with me, always responding to my messages right away.”

“Took my 3 year old female GSD to Allen’s for daycare and had a good first time experience. Got to meet the other dogs and see her interact with them. Lots of photos and videos throughout the day, which really helps you feel at ease for a first time drop off. Good to know the dogs are running around getting their exercise. We plan to continue using Allen’s services.”

“Serena is great! I love that whenever I leave Theo in her care, I know he’s going to get nice and tired playing with Nugget, and I appreciate the updates I get throughout the day. 10/10 definitely recommend and we will keep coming to Serena!”

About: With a lifelong experience caring for dogs — I offer a calm, loving space where every pup feels secure, comfortable, confident, peaceful and right at home Hi y’all! 👋 We’re Pao & Rod, a dog-loving duo living with our pups Taco (Pug) and Cookie (Brussels Griffon). Dogs are our world, and we run Rover together as a team—so your pup gets tons of attention, love, and care while you’re away. 🐾💚 From walks, feeding, and medications to drop-offs, pick-ups, and lots of cute photo updates, we’ve got you covered! 🐶 Our Home & Schedule * We have a very flexible schedule—Pao is home most of the time and days, and we’re happy to accommodate early or late drop-offs and pick-ups. * Dogs may be alone briefly in the early morning (6–9am) while Rod goes to work and Pao returns from hers. * If your pup needs 24/7 human companionship, Pao can adjust her work schedule to make that happen—just let us know! 🐕 Our Dogs & Hosting Style * We have two friendly, social dogs, so visiting pups should also be dog-friendly. * We’re a kennel-free home, giving dogs the freedom to relax and feel at home. That said, if your pup is crate-trained and feels more comfortable having one, we’re happy to accommodate! 😊 * We have one crate for small dogs available. If your pup needs a larger crate, please bring the one they know and love. * We host up to 5 dogs per stay, keeping things calm, cozy, and personal. * We’re experienced with leash-reactive dogs and happy to accommodate their needs. 🚫 Separation Anxiety Because we live in an apartment, we’re unable to host dogs with severe separation anxiety (excessive barking/howling, door scratching, or destructive chewing). That said: ✔️ Short, occasional barking is totally fine ✔️ Dogs who are comfortable relaxing for a couple of hours with water, toys, blankets, the TV on, and our dogs’ company usually do great here! 🐾 Senior Dogs We LOVE senior pups ❤️ and are happy to provide gentle, attentive care. A couple of notes: * If your senior can’t fully control bladder or bowels (we’re on the 6th floor), we ask that you provide diapers or belly bands to keep everyone comfortable. * We’re happy to give medications. * Need 24/7 care? Again—Pao can adjust her schedule to help! ⏰ Drop-Offs & Pick-Ups * Weekdays: early mornings (before 5am) and anytime from 9am–10pm * If you’d like us to pick up your pup from your home, pick-ups will need to be after 9am. * We’re flexible and always happy to coordinate, especially for emergencies or special situations. We can’t wait to meet you and welcome your pup into our little pack! 🐕💚 Feel free to reach out with any questions—we’re always happy to chat. We live in a comfortable, kid-free apartment, so your pup can enjoy a calm, peaceful stay with lots of attention and quiet time. 🐶💛 We’re surrounded by great parks for relaxing walks, plus a nearby dog park for pups who love to socialize and play! The apartment is safe and secure, with protected areas and tall windows, so there’s no risk of jumping or accidents—just a cozy, worry-free environment for your dog to relax and feel at home. 😊🐾
“Jami was amazing and helped us out with a last minute work trip! She was flexible and did incredible hikes and outings with our dogs. They were so happy to be with Jami!”

“If I could leave 10000000 positive reviews I would! Jiao and her partner are the most incredible, kind, professional, caring, and amazing rovers I’ve ever had watch my lil buddy! They are 10000% my go to best rover friends and my dog Blue was truly sad leaving them after daycare and it’s such a good feeling knowing the people watching your dog cares for him as much as you do!!! So so so wonderful!”

“Kathy took great care of our pup who can be a little on the nervous side. The second time we went there our dog knew where we were and excitedly went straight for the door to greet Kathy which I thought was very sweet. :) Good outdoor fenced space for dog to play and nice neighborhood.”

“Christopher was great! He was very flexible and patient with me when I had an unexpected event come up right before he was supposed to take care of my doggie girl. When he did end up watching her, I know she got lots of love. She has major anxiety issues and he was patient with her and did his best to comfort her. Thanks Christopher!”
“Caitlin was so kind and patient with both dogs, especially my more fearful/anxious chihuahua. Her dog Lucy is a sweetheart and was also great with the small dogs.”

“Bandit had a ball staying with Margaret and came home one exhausted pooch! I was very impressed with Margaret and her calm demeanor and obvious affinity with dogs. Bandit really took to her and I felt very comfortable leaving him with her and the other dogs in her care. He didn't say so, but I think Bandit was especially impressed with her doggy door that allowed him to take himself outside!”

“Hannah and Blaine were very accommodating and took our puppy on a last minute request. Our baby boy came home exhausted and happy from daycare and we will definitely be booking again!”

“Ben was very accepting of my sweet baby boy and by the time I showed up, he wanted to go back inside Ben’s house lol. Thank you dude! Would most definitely book again”

“Amanda was so welcoming and caring while dog sitting for Q. She was knowledgeable and very capable; made sure to know what Q’s needs were. Her dog Ginger was friendly and understanding of Q being shy. Q was so well taken care of in a few days she went from being really shy to getting all excited play with Ginger. Amanda made sure Q had her walks and gave me all the updates I needed. Q started to participate in play more so I know her time with Amanda was safe, fun, and instructive! I would definitely recommend her for dog waking and dog sitting!”

Ross Island dog parents share their Rover experiences
Laura was amazing with watching my two dogs! She helped us out with a same-day request, followed all instructions, and sent timely updates, pics, and videos. My dogs were very happy at the end of the day, and so was I. I will definitely be booking with Laura again!

Jiao and her partner were AWESOME. This was the first time we’ve left our puppy and they made us feel so comfortable- lots of pictures and videos throughout the day. They took chef out on a long walk and he was happy and tired when we picked him up. Would totally recommend Jiao!

Caitlyn (and Lucy) was great. She watched our puppy for us while we went out for dinner with some friends when our regular sitter was unavailable. Very communicative and has obviously spent a lot of time with dogs and dog training. We will definitely use her again should the need arise.

Kathy and her husband Tim are the greatest. I just picked my dog up from her first visit there and everything went very smoothly. Kathy took her for a walk in the beautiful Sellwood neighborhood. Their home is set up for dog safety and they have a fenced backyard which is heavenly. Highly recommended and I plan on becoming a regular.

Briana has a lovely mellow vibe and my pup seemed so happy with her. Briana is very responsive and I appreciate that so very much. I know Elio can be a handful since he's young and has an enthusiastic personality but she had a great day with him. We will book again for sure!

We’ve come back to Ben again and again for his stellar care. Our 5 month old puppy is excited to spend time at Ben’s and we can rest assured knowing he’s being loved and attended to. Ben sends lots of photos and spends ample time with our pup throughout the day. Would highly recommend Ben to anyone who’s nervous to send their pup off. Ben has been our saving grace!!
