“Keelan and his wife were so wonderful to my baby boy Domino. They were communicative and flexible with my return from the Gorge Ampitheatre (you never know how much traffic there will be) they sent pics multiple times a day and based on the cuddles I saw in the photos I can tell Domino made himself at home with them and their two cute pups, Loki and Minty. I would absolutely recommend them and hope to book with them again. Highly recommend!”

“Bonnie was a wonderful host for my anxiety-prone doggo. She went out her way to make sure Rosie was comfortable and even provided services I didn't ask for, like chopping up extra fruit and veggies when the stuff I supplied ran out. Would highly recommend and would hope to be able to use her services again!”

“Elizabeth and Sterling were fantastic. I booked last minute without much time for a meet and greet, and not only did they oblige and still meet same day, they made me feel comfortable leaving my dog with them. Their dog Lilo is such a sweetheart as well! They provided updates and exercise and I knew my pup was in good hands. Thank you so much for your great care! And I'm sorry again for the late plane arrival on my return!”

“Noemi is awesome! She watched my super shy rat terrier buddy for two nights and was absolutely wonderful. She was so thoughtful with him, and it was clear she really cared about making him feel safe and comfortable. She kept me updated, was very reliable, and gave me so much peace of mind while we were away. I came home to a happy, well cared for pup and would absolutely trust her again. Highly recommend!”

“I can’t say enough good things about Kathy! She was wonderful, communicative, and very good to my senior boy. She sent updates with cute pictures and videos everyday. She even went above and beyond doing shorter more frequent walks for my pup and going the extra mile to make sure he ate (he’s the PICKIEST). My pup loved her and we will definitely be rebooking for future trips!”

“Jennifer was great! Super easy to set up a meet and greet with and coordinate drop off and pick up. She sent cute updates and I could tell she took great care of Gus. She took him on lots of walks. Her dalmatian was also super sweet with Gus. I would definitely rebook with Jennifer!”

“Jones had a wonderful stay with Vanessa! Her sweet dog Kento was a bonus for Jonesy. Kento is relaxed and patient amd a great companion. Vanessa sent several pictures each day of Jones's stay - so comforting and fun for this pet momma. We'll definitely be back for more fun and care with Vanessa!”

“Sarah was wonderful, and I would absolutely book with her again. She took great care of my dog, Gummi, and he got along so well with her Pomeranian, Ellie. I really appreciated the frequent updates and photos because they gave me so much peace of mind knowing Gummi was happy, having fun, and being so well cared for. I highly recommend Sarah to anyone looking for a trustworthy and attentive dog sitter!”

“Tammy took great care of our golden. She texted often to give us updates on how he was doing and we knew he was in good hands. We look forward to working with Tammy again in the future.”

“Hope is absolutely incredible at taking care of dogs. She had Margo for over a week and it was the best experience for both our dog and us. We got consistent updates from Hope and I really appreciated the opportunity to meet with Hope and her dog beforehand to ensure our dogs would get along. I also really appreciated that she did not take on multiple dogs at the same time so our dog could get the attention and care she needs. I will definitely be using Hope again in the future!”

“Thank you so much for taking such great care of Tommy! I know he had an awesome time and appreciate all the pictures and videos!! He sure had a smile on his face!”

“Jason and Lindsay & their boys were available at a moment's notice when my schedule sitter fell through. They provided Rosie with attentive and loving care, and I would absolutely trust them with my sweet girl anytime.”

“Allison is very attentive and detail oriented! She took some notes while I was dropping off Blu to make sure she had everything she needed to take care of him. He looked very happy/relaxed in the photos and updates she sent. She lives in a quiet neighborhood and has a great backyard space for your pup. He stayed by her side while she worked from home so I can tell he felt very comfortable with her. When my parents came to pick him up, he didn’t want to go home and ran back to her so he definitely had a great time there. Definitely recommend booking Allison!”

“Evita is a great pet sitter! She is very responsive, flexible, and proactive in letting you know your pet is being well taken care of. I couldn’t recommend her more, and hope she is available the next time I need to go out of town!”

“What an amazing individual and her little doggie, Zoe. Marybeth is super casual, interested, caring, and flexible. She understands pets and their importance. I loved her tree-lined neighborhood and the HUGE fenced backyard available for my little pupper to play. I've decided Marybeth's the one to trust with my little pup, Mia.”

“Barbara is a great awesome caregiver for my Maggie. She kept us updated every day and it seemed like Maggie probably didn’t wanna come home cause barber shows a lot of love towards animals. I would recommend her highly.”

“We highly recommend Shari! From our meet and greet to the drop off and pick up, she was wonderful. Our dog Izzie, who can get anxious and nervous, was given the attention she needed, especially in a place she had never been before. So happy to have decided to try Rover.com and to find Shari. Maura and Joel”

About: Pets have always been a part of my life, and I pride myself on treating others' animals with the same tenderness and attention that I give my own pets. I am gentle and intuitive friendly human to all critters, and love dogs and cats equally. I pay attention to the details in terms of the animals needs and signals and am happy to communicate anything that seems odd or that I am unsure about. I am an educator on summer break and have great availability. There will be a week here or there when I am helping at school, but otherwise my schedule is wide open. I take great care to follow owner instructions. I make a point to connect with pets do matter how brief a visit is. Kindness, trust, and communication are at the top of my list. This includes keeping your house and pet secure as I am coming and going.

“John took a late booking to stay with our three cats for the weekend, and we are so pleased that he did! John was communicative in the booking process, scheduled a meet and greet that worked well for our schedule, came prepared, took notes, and immediately spoke cat language, putting us at ease. John gave fun updates, and enjoyed snuggles with our kitties. When we came home our kitties were relaxed and happy, clearly well cared for and attended to. The house was in great shape, respected and cared for. We will call on John again!”

“Wow. Amazing. Took our booking short notice (a week) took lots of photos, and more than anything: Ellie (our cat) was more open and playful than with other folks. 10/10”

“Susan was great with my very anxious kitty, seemed like they immediately had a good rapport, was great that she was able to get him to play during their visits as he’s typically a suspicious guy. Thanks!”

“This is the second time Melissa has watched Mia and she takes great care of her. She also helps bring in packages that come and even rolled our compost bin up our driveway! I highly recommend Melissa!”

“Camille and Shayla were amazing with my cat, and are very lovely people. My cat is very shy towards new people, and they respected his boundaries. He came out of his shell after a few days of them stopping by. I appreciated their detailed reports.”

“Lucinda was great! I had a bit of an unusual care situation going on while I was gone this time, but I appreciated her updates and would definitely book with her again.”

“I have used Carmen as a petsitter a couple times while I’ve been out of town for a few days. She sent me lots of pictures and was super responsive and I would book with her again”

“Paisley does a fantastic job watching our two cats! She provides updates, great pictures and while we are gone it always brightens our day to see what Paisley sent us. It's clear she is great with cats!”

About: Cats are my personal favorite! I have had a Russian blue, a black cat and, currently, a tuxedo cat. I really enjoy connecting with cats, earning their trust and building a relationship with them. I love to spend time with cats, whether it's kitty snuggles or just being in the same room, I cherish every second I get to spend with my cat buddies.

“Kai is the best! Thank you for taking such good care of my girl, including giving her meds and keeping her well-fed. We’ll definitely book again, she adores you :)”

“Grace is the best. Clear communication, lots of cute photo updates, the house was well taken care of, and Stella was happy upon arrival. Stella’s generally pretty upset about me leaving and can act out when I get home, but this time she’s completely fine. Thank you Grace!”

“Archie checked in on my cat Waffle while I was away on a trip, and they did a great job. My cat is very playful and friendly, so I was glad to have someone spend time with her so she wouldn't be lonely. Archie was very nice and sent me lots of photos as well. He came out and did a pet visit beforehand which made me feel at ease about leaving her while I was gone.”

“Stayed extra long to make friends with my nervous orange tabby! Went above and beyond to make sure he was ok. Even had to play an impromptu game of hide and seek with him when he was hidden away. Truly appreciate how Karly really cared about my sensitive baby, Chonky. And jumped in when other care from a friend fell through. Thank you! Will definitely book again!”

“Kathy did a fantastic job watching our cat, Lilly. She gave descriptive check-in notes which were very comforting while we were away. Lilly normally gets quite lonely while we are gone and she seemed very content when we returned!”

“Lyle was a gem over the holidays— he was available to care for our cat while we were gone for Christmas. He was responsive, accepted our booking quickly, and took great care of our kitty and our home. I would highly recommend his care!”
“Hannah is amazing. She took excellent care of my cat, communicated quickly and well with me. and is very responsible and trustworthy. I heartily recommend her for your pets!”

About: I have been taking care of animals for as long as I can remember and even have my own fur baby of my own. We love animals and making new friends! I am currently working a remote flex job so I am able to choose my hours and prioritize pet care to ensure I’m able to give your pet what they need! I have my own dog, and we usually go out for walks around my neighborhood and visit the PSU campus and park blocks to allow my pup to be in more greenery! I also have a grass block that is right next door to my apartment so I am easily able to take the pets potty!

“I am a fearful pet parent for my little reactive street dog and Damon put us at ease with the time he took for a meet and greet, then booking a day boarding, then an overnight with him before we go away for a week leaving our little guy in his care. I was very hesitant because he has a larger group of dogs, but he is so organized in how he introduces and works with them that our dog came back tired but vey happy. He is super competent, kind and unbelievably NEAT and clean. I couldn't believe he took time to send videos and pictures. this is obviously his superpower. I feel confident in his judgment and his ability to handle anything that comes along calmly.”

“My trepidatious puppy was very well cared for! Margaret sent me photos right away to show that she was settling in and by the end of the day she has made friends with not only the other dogs but the rest of the family too. My pup will be a regular visitor at Margaret’s!”

About: My Dalmatian bestie and I are looking for small furry friends to spend a few days with us here and there. I am a full-time pet parent to a high energy dog who makes caring for him the best part of every day. We both love cats and small dogs and have been caring for others together for some time now. Let's set up a meet and greet to see if our furry friends hit it off! I work full time from home with my Dalmatian! We walk 3-4 times a day and could easily fit another small dog into our routine. Whether your pet loves to play or prefers to sit quietly undisturbed, my dog will respect their boundaries. My home has lots of space for play, cozy places to sit, large windows to look out of, and a patio to sunbathe. We keep things clean and put away so there is very little trouble to get into. I routinely take my dog for walks throughout the day and have plenty of control to add another to the mix.
“Emily is the best! She took great care of my fur baby with updates and was even super patient with the nervous barking she does when meeting someone new. I really recommend her for great care, where you know there won’t be any worries. My dachshund usually doesn’t eat dinner when meeting someone new or walk well on a leash but she ate her dinner and was walking happily & even napped.”

“I appreciate Alison taking my pup on such short notice. My little guy has never been away from home before so we were both nervous.. but Alison did awesome at making us both feel safe and secure ij her care. Sending me beautiful photos and updates of my pup throughout the day was much appreciated 🥰 thanks Alison”

“Elizabeth was wonderful with Kiko. She captured all communication specifically with regards to Kiko's "nuances," and managed all wonderfully. I highly recommend Elizabeth!”

“Serena is great! I love that whenever I leave Theo in her care, I know he’s going to get nice and tired playing with Nugget, and I appreciate the updates I get throughout the day. 10/10 definitely recommend and we will keep coming to Serena!”

About: I’m a work from home PhD student with one dog and one cat. I’d love to board or day care your doggo. I will be home with your dog for their entire stay. I’ll treat your dog as my own: giving them frequent potty breaks, a daily long walk, and lots of scritches. My Pom Ellie would love to have a friend who visits! I have several rooms and can separate your dog for meals, if needed. My dog is very much a food-hunter so our home is kept safe from doggies getting in to anything not meant for them. I only sit one dog at a time. You’ll get lots of photos and updates! 🤍 I run a business that is fully online from my home, and I am also a PhD student. So, I am always home and will be with your dog unless I have to run an errand. We take one longer walk per day and have many potty breaks otherwise (every 2-4 hours). Meals will happen on the schedule you describe. I have a Pomeranian here but she can be separated if your dog has special eating needs. Dogs are welcome on all furniture and in bed. Lots of toys around and my Pom will be so happy to have a friend to play with.
“While we were on a road trip and in Portland just for the day, Lyle watched our dog so we could go to OMSI and Powell’s, etc. We booked last minute and Lyle even helped us with directions to his place. Our dog was happy when we picked him up, but also had a ton of energy so I’m not sure if he got much exercise while there. But I’m glad he had a place to wait and potty breaks.”

“Macey was able to assist with our pups last minute. She was absolutely wonderful and easy to work with. She took our dogs on long walks and very attentive to them. They were happy and tired when we brought them home. We would definitely use her again and highly recommend her services!”

“Catherine is super knowledgeable about pups (and even did extra research on our puppy’s breed). Poppy felt comfortable at the meet and greet and seemed to fit right in with Jack and Daisy. She had a great time and I felt confident that she was well cared for.”

“Susan was professional and kind to my dog. She asked the right questions and my pup was happy after she met her and her walk. I also love the pictures she took today.”

“Kai was amazing with Wednesday and made it a lot easier for me to relax and not worry about my fur baby while I am away! They were communicative and thoughtful throughout the whole process.”

About: Six years ago, I became the guardian of a six-week-old Shiba Inu named Kuro. Shibas are known for being independent and, without proper socialization, can become withdrawn. I dedicated his early years to consistent training, structure, and socialization. Today, he is a confident, well-adjusted dog who often changes people’s assumptions about the breed. That experience taught me patience, consistency, and respect for an animal’s personality. It also shaped how I approach care—balancing structure with empathy and always paying attention to the individual needs of each animal. I’m a freelance photographer and filmmaker, so my schedule is pretty flexible and project-based. When I’m not out shooting, I usually work from home editing, writing, retouching photos, or planning my next project. Because of that, I’m home a lot during the day and can easily build pet care into my routine. I take breaks regularly, so I’ll check in on pets, hang out with them, play, and make sure they’re doing good. I also make time for walks and outdoor time throughout the day. I wanted to do pet care because I enjoy being around animals, and it fits well with my flexible schedule. At home, I focus on what I’d call “loving structure”—making sure my dog’s physical, emotional, and routine needs are consistently met throughout the day. We start the morning with a long walk (usually 45 minutes to an hour), followed by breakfast and a chance to fully settle in—peeing, pooping, and getting comfortable. After that, I get into my work, and I take regular breaks throughout the day to check in, go for quick walks, or spend time playing and hanging out so he doesn’t feel isolated. In the late afternoon, I take him out again for another walk and some playtime so he can explore, move his body, and interact with familiar dogs in the neighborhood. At night, he gets dinner, a final potty break, and usually some dental chews or teeth brushing before bed. Overall, I try to make sure he’s not just physically taken care of—he’s also emotionally fulfilled through attention, consistency, and connection. I approach client pets the same way, adjusting based on their specific needs and routines. For dogs, I usually follow a similar structure unless they require something different. For cats, I focus more on play, enrichment, and making sure food, water, and litter are always clean and consistent. I also pay close attention to any changes in behavior or health, and make sure the environment stays calm, safe, and predictable so they can feel comfortable and relaxed.
“Lucinda is incredible with our boy! We can tell in all the pictures she takes that he has such a great time with her. She communicates so well. We always look forward to her reviews of how the day went with Cruz - she keeps it creative and always writes something fun and descriptive. Couldn’t recommend her more!”

About: Having grown up on a 20 acre farm for most of my life, I have cared for all shapes and sizes of animals - from horses to snakes, and everything in between! When I moved into an apartment for college, I missed the "dog energy" in our household and set to volunteering hundreds of hours at the Humane Society, which also included basic training skills and walking the most aggressive 100+lb leash pullers. This later evolved into working at a veterinary clinic where I was trained to monitor recovering animals and administer medications safely and with as little stress as possible through Fear Free certification. Animal body language is my second language! I love the outdoors as much as the indoors, and am more than happy to accommodate medical needs. ♡ If you would like extras taken care of during your pets stay or our visit, such as bathing, grooming, nail trims, or a run, just let me know! My dog, Leo, and I are constantly going on hikes and we are more than happy to tucker your pups out with a day trip, just reach out for rates. I currently work as a Braille Librarian for the state and used to teach Low Vision/Blind learners, and I am also fluent in American Sign Language (ASL), so I have a soft spot for dogs that may be Deaf, Blind, or DeafBlind. To top it all off, I am working on weaseling my way into Guide Dog puppy raising, and all the training tips that come along with that. ( : I commute to Salem Wednesday and Friday, which means my schedule during those days is usually pretty limited to anything after 430pm. Otherwise, my weekends are typically completely free and ready to be filled with whatever your fur babies need! Using the Fear Free method, I work with a pet's body language to determine what will work best in the current situation, and when methods may be effective versus stressful. I am ready to go at your pet's pace with whatever they may need, and clearly communicate the process along the way.
“Lyle was wonderful! He came and took genuine interest in learning about our pups, including any potential issues during walks. He clearly cares about the dogs' safety and his own, which I find reassuring! My pups were clearly much less cabin fever-y when I made it home tonight. As someone who recently had a lot of major demanding life changes and has had little time or energy to give my pups the proper outlet for their bodies to get energy out and their minds to be stimulated enough, this is a huge thing that Lyle made happen. I've already rebooked with him and will continue to!”

“Alexander came for a first solo walk with our 65 lb dog-reactive girl, and reported that everything went well! We were sent a lot of great pictures. At the meet-and-greet, Alexander really listened and absorbed all the mitigation strategies that we have for the leash reactivity (even taking notes!). Thank you, Alexander!”

About: Hi! My name’s Camryn, but most people call me Cami. Like the title says- I’m here to become your pet’s new best friend. I’m a professional, reliable, and responsible caretaker. I have multiple years’ experience watching dogs of all sizes, along with cats. My current lifestyle isn’t suitable for a pet of my own, so I’m here to love your pets like they’re mine in the meantime! Rover is simply my outlet. My 9-5 keeps me busy and pays my bills, but pet sitting brings me joy, keeps me active, and pays for my shopping addiction 😉 Questions? Interested in setting up a meet & greet? Don’t hesitate to reach out! I typically work 8-5 Monday through Friday and fully in-person (in SE Portland). For any Friday sits, I’m typically not available until after 5 pm. I’m located near multiple parks and am in a very walkable neighborhood, so I can help your pup burn off some energy by going for a walk or run with them. There’s LOTS of dogs in my neighborhood and apartment complex, so in-home boarding likely wouldn’t be a good fit for reactive dogs.
“Liliana is lovely and definitely has a connection with dogs. My little dog Nina doesn’t trust people at all and she immediately liked Liliana. I was tied up when she came to walk Nina and Nina barked and then went out with her without any fuss and without me being there! Liliana is professional, friendly and punctual. HIGHLY recommend!! NOTE: I would hire her weekly but my sister offered to help me - it’s not because Liliana isn’t the best!”

“Katlyn was wonderful and our Golden was so happy with her. She was punctual and communicated clearly with us. Our Golden is large and she handled him so well. We will definitely hire her in the future!”

“Alyson has been walking my little blind weenie for about a month now. My little girl loves her and is always so excited for her walk. Alyson is so sweet and gentle with her. Alyson communicates well and is prompt. I would highly recommend her!”

“I am so grateful that Karly has been walking and checking in on my senior dog, Carl these past couple months. It is such a comfort to know that she is taking care of Carl while I'm away for a long work day!”
About: Over 20 years of hands on pet care under my belt. I've been the go to walker and sitter for friends, family, and neighbors across Portland. From energetic malamutes who love winter hikes in Forest Park, to chill cats who want a lap and a scratch. I've handled them all. I know every pup's quirks, keep treats handy, and always come home with wagging tails and happy updates. Reliability is my thing: on time walks, clean pickups, and no drama. Let's get your furry crew out exploring. I am currently doing this part time and enjoy taking care of animals. I am fairly flexible on when I can be available for pet care. I love animals and treat all pets as if they were own. I can tailor to the owner and their pet to make sure everyone is comfortable.
“Mark was fantastic with Oso and was good at being firm but gentle. Oso seemed happy and pleasantly tired! Definitely would have Mark walk him again and would recommend Mark!”

About: Since I was 5 years old, I’d accompany my mom on walks with our Alaskan malamute Hannah. Growing up she was the heart of the home! Now, me and my partner live in Portland as proud cat parents and frequently host my brothers Swiss Shepherd for sleepovers and outdoor adventures. I love all dogs, and have a massive sweet spot for big fluffers! Currently a nursing student at Linfield, I am looking for furry friends to spend study time with and get me outside on walks! I have school 4 days a week and work per diem (~2/3 days per month at the hospital). My evenings and weekends are open and I have great flexibility right now for pet sitting. Since most of my free time is spent studying, drops ins/house sitting works great as long as there’s working wifi! In clients homes, I always respect rules and put the pets safety first! I believe in open communication, leashes, picking up poop, and getting adequate exercise for the pups. I am always on the lookout for abnormal behavior, indication of sickness, and watching what they eat. I want your baby happy and healthy!

“This was our first time having Kayley care for Baja and she was amazing! Kayley’s communications and updates were excellent and she went above and beyond on some visits to help with other things. We’ll definitely request her again the next time we need help with dog walking.”

Would highly recommend and would hope to be able to use her services again!”

And I'm sorry again for the late plane arrival on my return!”

I loved her tree-lined neighborhood and the HUGE fenced backyard available for my little pupper to play. I've decided Marybeth's the one to trust with my little pup, Mia.”

“This is our second time with Catherine and her pack and we couldn't be happier with our dogs care. Cosmo is a Cairn Terrier, smaller than most of the dogs she sits, yet they all get along so well and play together. Catherine takes individual needs into account and we will be happy to have her sit for us again!”

“They are the nicest people and treated Tom as if he was their own. They kept sending pics of Tom having the best time, which allowed me to enjoy my vacation.”

“Veronica was great! Our dog Perla is 1 year old and very active and playful. She was kept busy with Veronicas two dogs for 12 days, which Perla seem to enjoy very much. Veronica is very knowledgeable about dogs and very patient. She kept us informed with pictures and videos. We will definitely use Veronica again.”

“Barry is wonderful! Like many pet owners, we were so nervous leaving our almost 14 year old Callie behind for a few days. However, within our first meet and greet with Barry and Shaka we were comfortable, knowing Callie would be in good hands. Barry sent daily updates and pictures everyday. Allowing us to be more at ease on our trip. Communication was great as he was quick to respond and was very flexible with our drop off time, when we were running behind. Barry has experience with senior dogs, he was kind and understanding with all of Callie’s feeding and meds instructions. We could tell, Callie really enjoyed all the smells in the garden and the calm setting. We can’t say enough, other than we are so glad we found Barry and we would highly recommend him.”

“I was really nervous about leaving my German Shepherd mix Callie with a new person for a week while I was out of town. We’re very attached to each other and I had no idea how she would do. Dan sent me fantastic photos almost every day when I was gone, she had other visiting pups to play with, and she came home happy. It seemed to go really smoothly without a hitch which really put my mind at ease. Thanks Dan!”

“Aleksandra was so great to Tucker! She sent lots of pictures and gave updates which always helps when being away from pups. She did a great job communicating. She gave Tucker all the love while I was gone.”

“So happy to have come across Jennifer and Eric before boarding our pup. Seeing photos of him snuggling their kids and knowing he was being loved on all week gave us so much peace of mind while we were on vacation. Thank you guys so much!”

“We so appreciated Jake watching our 6 month old golden while we were away. Our pup seemed to love playing with his dog Zoey and we felt relieved knowing he was getting to have some fun, too! : ) Jake was very responsive and easy to coordinate with.”

“Kristopher did an amazing job with both our dogs, he asked a lot of good questions before hand and took his time with our shy boy. He provided pictures and updates to reasure us! We will for sure book with him again.”

“My dog Daisy stayed with Liberty for a week and she took great care of her and the dogs got along swimmingly! She did great with some funny logistics I had with handing off to a friend and it all went smooth and easy! Will be using her again!”

“Miss Amanda Mae is a tender rescue who was lovingly cared for by Tommy . It wasn't just Amanda 's separation anxiety but mine that was soothed with his pictures of my happy girl throughout my vacation.”
