About: I grew up on a farm, so I’ve been taking care of animals most my life. I am a trusted and reliable pet sitter/friend for many of my friends and family. I do not have pets currently, so this fills my animal cup 💕. I’m currently working from home, so have plenty of time to be with your pet during the week, evenings and weekends. My schedule is flexible so we can get great play and walk time in. I live in an apartment that is safe and secure. While I don’t have a yard, this just means more walks and time playing at the park. About: I’ve had dogs and cats since I was little. I’ve had experience doing jobs dog sitting, dog walking, dog boarding, cat sitting, and cat boarding since I was 12. About: Having grown up on a 20 acre farm for most of my life, I have cared for all shapes and sizes of animals - from horses to snakes, and everything in between! When I moved into an apartment for college, I missed the "dog energy" in our household and set to volunteering hundreds of hours at the Humane Society, which also included basic training skills and walking the most aggressive 100+lb leash pullers. This later evolved into working at a veterinary clinic where I was trained to monitor recovering animals and administer medications safely and with as little stress as possible through Fear Free certification. Animal body language is my second language! I love the outdoors as much as the indoors, and am more than happy to accommodate medical needs. ♡ If you would like extras taken care of during your pets stay or our visit, such as bathing, grooming, nail trims, or a run, just let me know! My dog, Leo, and I are constantly going on hikes and we are more than happy to tucker your pups out with a day trip, just reach out for rates. I currently work as a Braille Librarian for the state and used to teach Low Vision/Blind learners, and I am also fluent in American Sign Language (ASL), so I have a soft spot for dogs that may be Deaf, Blind, or DeafBlind. To top it all off, I am working on weaseling my way into Guide Dog puppy raising, and all the training tips that come along with that. ( : I commute to Salem Wednesday and Friday, which means my schedule during those days is usually pretty limited to anything after 430pm. Otherwise, my weekends are typically completely free and ready to be filled with whatever your fur babies need! Using the Fear Free method, I work with a pet's body language to determine what will work best in the current situation, and when methods may be effective versus stressful. I am ready to go at your pet's pace with whatever they may need, and clearly communicate the process along the way.
About: I have a 4 year old excitable spaniel of my own who certainly keeps my life exciting! I have always lived with dogs and can’t imagine it any other way. But I also love cats! Nearly all my friends have cats and I have lots of experience pet-sitting for many of them. I love spending time around animals and would love to take care of yours! I have a full-time 8-5 job, but do have flexibility within my week. I wfh at least one day a week - sometimes more. Evenings and weekends are usually super open for me!
