“Deb took my 8 year old Aussie for our first rover walk today. She came before the walk when I was home for a meet and greet the previous week. Deb messaged me to let me know she arrived for the walk and sent detailed updates with photos. Tesla can be shy, but Deb did a great job! My Tesla was happy when I got home from classes this evening and napped while I did homework indicating so got good exercise today! Thanks Deb, looking forward to our weekly walks :)”

“Madi has done a great job with our energetic dog. She has asked questions, been on time, and followed specific instructions. Siena is always excited to see Madi!”

About: We are a loving household comprised of myself, my husband, our two kiddos and two sweet hound dogs. Frito is a yellow hound/lab mix who loves to sleep and hang with his family. Bacca is a coonhound with the attitude to match! He likes to express himself often and loudly, but can be a very chill guy once he's gotten his sniffs in. Both are friendly towards all kinds of other dogs. We have experience with dog sitting in our home and we have in the past fostered deaf dogs (through Deaf Dogs of Oregon rescue) while they are found their forever homes. Our house isn't large, but the dogs are basically in charge and we like it that way (they are our kids, along with our human kiddos!) We have a large fenced back yard for the pooches to run in as well. About this sitter: My husband works outside the home and my main job is stay at home mom to my two kiddos (so I'm home a lot!).I love hanging out with my dogs and kids most of the time. We like to hang out in the big back yard. My hubby is a big help with the dogs as well. Why I love dog sitting Both my husband and I grew up loving dogs. My family always had two or three dogs on my parents' 4 acre homestead. We always had big dogs, and a few wiener dogs. They were always part of the family. My husband Justin rescued our late dog Jughead when he was a puppy from a neglectful home, and trained him up to be an awesome dog, who we still miss very much. We adopted our dog Frito together when he was 8 weeks old and he's grown up in our care a very good boy. Our coonhound Bacca is good at very loudly expressing himself (especially when you first meet him!) but he really just wants to be everyone's friend and get pets and okay. About my yard We have a large backyard, about 1/3 of which is covered. The rest is open, with large pine and cedar trees in the back third of the yard near the back fence. We have couches that the dogs often run around, and over when they are playing. There isn't much grass (it won't grow) and the dirt gets a bit dusty when its dry. The dogs like to run, play, and lay out in the sunshine. I am a stay at home mom currently so I'm very flexible with accommodating your dogs needs. I'll be available for drop in visits and walks during the week while my kids are at school, and more often on the weekends if your pet is friendly around children. I have a large fully fenced back yard and two dogs too keep your dog company. I can also easily crate your dog if needed.
About: I've always had pets since I was a baby, and I've been working at doggy day cares with some freelance on the side - it truly is my calling! I've been able to work with various dogs, from newborns to tiny social dogs to large and stranger-aggressive. I'm willing to work closely with each individual pet, figure out their needs, and make them as happy as they can be. As of now, I have open availability to try and make my dream of an animal care career into a reality! Please reach out with any scheduling questions and I'll be happy to answer and work something out. I'll ensure your pet is fed, watered, walked, whatever it is your pet may need while you're away. And, of course, lots of play time/snuggling between!
“I would very highly recommend Courtney as a dog-sitter. She has taken great care of Ginger, even with last minute notice, on two occasions now. She sent lots of pictures and responded quickly to all messages.”

Richmond dog parents share their Rover experiences
Caroline was wonderful to work with. She took the time for a meet and greet, was attentive and had great questions that made me feel like she cared and was trustworthy. She was professional, showed up on time and took my dog on a nice, long walk. It's a perfect fit and I will definitely be working with her on all future walks and any pet needs!!

Julia was a wonderful dog walker! When I submitted the rover request she responded quickly. She communicated well through booking and while walking the dogs. She took very good care of our dogs and I would reach out to her again for future dog walking needs. Thank you Julia!!

I cannot recommend Clio enough! It was clear from the moment she met Remy that she is absolutely great with dogs - she has a way of making them feel comfortable and loved. Remy has some pretty tough pulling issues, but Clio was incredibly patient and attentive, handling gun with so much care. Clio has previously dog sat for us. She was clear and responsive with her communications (sending cute photos of Remy) and took great care of Remy and our home! I am so grateful to I have found someone so trustworthy and passionate!
