“Kai took great care of my 2 dogs! Took them on a nice long walk, and made sure they had everything they needed. Also, he was able to book on very short notice! Would definitely book another walk with Kai for next time.”

About: My most recent animal care experience is from my current Veterinary Hospital Assistant job. This year, I also worked as a Temporary Kennel Technician and volunteered at One Tail At A Time in Portland. I’ve gained experience safely handling animals with different personalities, monitoring behavior, administering medications, and helping maintain a clean and safe environment for both animals and people. I also completed Dog and Cat First Aid Training through American Red Cross. I currently have a full-time job as a Veterinary Hospital Assistant. My work schedule is not consistent right now, but will be eventually. For now I will be updating my calendar frequently to show my days off that I am available for hire on Rover. I will send consistent updates, photos, and stick closely to your pet's routine so they feel safe and comfortable. I'm currently accepting new clients for walks and drop-ins, so feel free to message me!
About: I have experience with cats and dogs of all ages, shapes, sizes, and personality. I have trained puppies before (and even my cat can do tricks) as well have helped care for elderly pets who need extra attention. I am very skilled at reading animal body language and finding the right way to connect with each unique furry friend. My schedule is very open! I currently see clients on Tuesday afternoons/evenings for an internship, but otherwise my schedule is open and flexible. There are occasional dates where I have other obligations, but I generally am able to work with most schedules. NOTE: Not looking to house sit for longer than 3 days at a time. I am very respectful of the spaces of others, and aim to leave no trace other than my care for your pets. I am training to be a therapist/counselor, so I very much understand how fundamental mutual trust, boundaries, and communication are in a healthy working relationship and take that extremely seriously regardless of what service I am providing.

“Best dog walker ever. So grateful my dog has such a caring and wonderful buddy to take her on walks while I’m at work. Highly recommend Alicia, especially for anxious dogs like mine :)”

“Ursula is the best! She has walked my dog twice since my injury. She confirms walks very quickly and has great availability. She can handle my dog reactive pup :)”

“Mark was fantastic with Oso and was good at being firm but gentle. Oso seemed happy and pleasantly tired! Definitely would have Mark walk him again and would recommend Mark!”

“Mathew was so thoughtful in getting to know our pup and making sure he was well-exercised while we were away. He provided great notes and pics so I didn’t worry or wonder whether our silly pibble was behaving himself, lol. Thanks Mathew!”

About: As an animal lover I have spent over 15 years caring for dogs and other animals for my friends and family! The words “sweet” and “joyful” have often been used to describe my animal care practices - I will treat your dog like my own, and make sure they receive the attention you’d give them! Please feel free to ask any questions or arrange a meet and greet, I want to put your mind at ease! I work remote Mondays and Fridays, and can be with your animal full time those days! On Tuesdays through Thursdays I am in my office in Beaverton from 9 am to 3 pm, and can swing by before work, at lunch, and after work! Weekend availability is also open. I live with roommates and do not offer in-home care, but will be happy to follow any and all instructions you may give regarding care in your home! I am a runner, and happy to take your pup on a trot if that sounds fun and safe to you! Alternatively, walks are great! For your pet’s safety I avoid high-traffic areas with other dogs including dog parks.
“Sidra is incredibly caring and focused on Jet’s well being and safety, being attentive to his cues and needs. After just one interaction I feel completely comfortable with Sidra taking care of Jet!”

About: I've loved animals ever since I was a small kid. I grew up raising 3 rats, 3 cats, and a Great Pyrenees. I have experience walking neighborhood dogs, as well as taking care of hamsters and cats while their owners were on vacation. I currently have no pets due to my building's rules, so I'd take any excuse to help take care of a fluffy creature. Currently working a reduced amount with most of it being from home, so I have a lot of availability to care for your pets. Free/flexible most hours, besides evening on the weekends(and even then, I could potentially work something out with enough time). I enjoy long walks and exercise, and love playing with animals, so I'm your guy if your dog needs a long walk or an hour of nothing but fetch. I grew up walking a stubborn 100+ lb. dog, so I know how to control them if they get a little too excited sometimes.
The median cost per walk for dog walking in Kerns is $20

I honestly wasn’t sure we’d ever enjoy walks with Georgie. He pulled constantly, got overstimulated really easily, and I felt like I had tried everything. Working with Chris has made such a huge difference. He took the time to explain what Georgie needed, showed us how to properly use the prong collar as a communication tool, and gave us things to work on between sessions. Within just a few weeks, Georgie was walking so much better. He’s more focused, calmer, and actually checks in with me instead of dragging me down the sidewalk. It’s made walks so much more enjoyable, and I feel like I understand my dog so much better now. If you’re on the fence, do it. I only wish we had started sooner!

Raina is an excellent resource and so sweet with our pup. We learned that she trained her own dog for her sort of this dog certification, so I know she will be so helpful for our new puppy and reinforcing his good habits on walks! We’re very excited to have found her!

I reached out to Emma to help me out with my two labs after I had knee surgery. Not onlwas she understanding and worked with me when it got postponed and I had to cancel and reschedule everything. She also brought to my attention that I was being double booked which equals to begin double charged. I was completely unaware of this and could not fine on Rover where it was. Long story short she took care of it and I was refunded by rover. Now to the pup's. She's been walking them for awhile now. They love her. When they return from their walk they are happy and thirsty. We appreciate Emma so much!
