I've checked in on cats and dogs during vacations, walked people's dogs, and have experience volunteering as a dog walker for a rescue. Your pet is a part of your family, and deserve to be treated with respect and care, as well as have fun! I'm currently available most times of the day and most days of the week, leaving me plenty of time to help take care of your furry friends! 🔆 Trust is incredibly important when it comes to who you have around your home and taking care of your pets, and I take that trust seriously. Safety is my highest priority when working with animals, and I take the responsibility of a caretaker seriously.

About: Having grown up on a 20 acre farm for most of my life, I have cared for all shapes and sizes of animals - from horses to snakes, and everything in between! When I moved into an apartment for college, I missed the "dog energy" in our household and set to volunteering hundreds of hours at the Humane Society, which also included basic training skills and walking the most aggressive 100+lb leash pullers. This later evolved into working at a veterinary clinic where I was trained to monitor recovering animals and administer medications safely and with as little stress as possible through Fear Free certification. Animal body language is my second language! I love the outdoors as much as the indoors, and am more than happy to accommodate medical needs. ♡ If you would like extras taken care of during your pets stay or our visit, such as bathing, grooming, nail trims, or a run, just let me know! My dog, Leo, and I are constantly going on hikes and we are more than happy to tucker your pups out with a day trip, just reach out for rates. I currently work as a Braille Librarian for the state and used to teach Low Vision/Blind learners, and I am also fluent in American Sign Language (ASL), so I have a soft spot for dogs that may be Deaf, Blind, or DeafBlind. To top it all off, I am working on weaseling my way into Guide Dog puppy raising, and all the training tips that come along with that. ( : I commute to Salem Wednesday and Friday, which means my schedule during those days is usually pretty limited to anything after 430pm. Otherwise, my weekends are typically completely free and ready to be filled with whatever your fur babies need! Using the Fear Free method, I work with a pet's body language to determine what will work best in the current situation, and when methods may be effective versus stressful. I am ready to go at your pet's pace with whatever they may need, and clearly communicate the process along the way.

About: I grew up with at least 2 dogs in the house always, have cared for horses, cats, and dogs. I have 3 years experience dog sitting. I am unique in that I make it my focus to connect with each and every animal that I have the pleasure of meeting and or caring for. VISITS: I pride myself on giving your animal a fun time, making sure they do their business, and getting them back safe and sound. HOUSESITTING: I will respect your space and am flexible with the majority of requests. Whenever I receive a sitting or drop in request, that is my first priority and I make sure to schedule my work around the care of your animals. In your home I will follow your method of caring for your animals as closely as I can to make the animals as if you are not even gone! The best way for me to get a feel of how you do things is through a pre-sit meetup.

I have experience with pets of all ages, from puppies and kittens to senior animals. I’m comfortable helping with special needs, including giving medications and taking dogs to the park. I prefer morning-late afternoon, but am also open to occasional evening care.
