For dogs who love walks and routine
I provide calm, attentive care shaped around each dog’s temperament, routine, and energy level. I’m especially comfortable with dogs who benefit from extra movement and outdoor time, whether that means neighborhood walks, time at Sellwood Riverfront, Elk Rock hikes, Mt. Tabor, or any of your dog’s favorite spots. I also have experience with dogs who enjoy water play and understand how to balance activity with safety, pacing, and comfort. My goal is to offer a grounded, dependable presence so pets feel secure, engaged, and well cared for while their people are away.

Each day includes regular walks, outdoor time, and activity suited to your dog’s energy level, along with calm time to rest. I aim for a balanced routine that keeps dogs engaged, comfortable, and well cared for.

Heather is so kind and gracious! Her communication was great. She clearly got to know our dog and did a lot to make it a fun time for our pup when we were out of town. We have a big dog with leash anxiety and a squirrel problem, and Heather did a great job managing both. She left the house in great condition and even created some flower arrangements from dried flowers. Thank you, Heather!
Heather cared for our 9 month old puppy for a week, in our home. While we did appreciate her daily updates and aspects of her care, there were however some issues that popped up. We came home to our puppy having an upset stomach / loose poop, because he was fed treats that weren’t outlined in our notes, We also discovered he got a hold of a plastic peanut butter container and chewed it up, breaking off pieces of hard plastic. We expect to hear about any health or safety issues in real time from a sitter. There were also some things changed in our home and yard, such as rearranged furnishings and landscaping, which we were not asked about. We came home to a yard full of, and smelling like, dog poop. Although we came home to a reasonably happy puppy, we would not recommend Heather.
Heather is great with my energetic puppy! She doesn’t seem phased by his puppy antics and has done a wonderful job of walking him this week.
Our first overnight per sitting experience and Heather was thoughtful, tidy, and most of all, very caring to our cat and dog. I appreciated her high contact communication and going the extra step to introduce new brain play activities to our dog. Highly recommend!
Heather is great!
Heather was fabulous! She stayed at our house with our 4 month old, high energy puppy - and I know he kept her busy! She spent a lot of time taking him on walks, playing with him and redirecting his wild puppy behavior. She was very communicative with lots of sweet updates, and took the time to come meet Ralph and spend time with him before her stay. Our house was left in perfect shape, and our pup is happy and tired. We’ll definitely be asking her back!

My schedule allows me to provide consistent, attentive care, including regular walks, outdoor time, and structured activity for dogs who benefit from a steady, active routine. Grounded, attentive care in SE Portland’s most walkable neighborhoods—Sellwood, Woodstock, Inner SE, and along the MAX Orange Line.
