About: Having grown up on a 20 acre farm for most of my life, I have cared for all shapes and sizes of animals - from horses to snakes, and everything in between! When I moved into an apartment for college, I missed the "dog energy" in our household and set to volunteering hundreds of hours at the Humane Society, which also included basic training skills and walking the most aggressive 100+lb leash pullers. This later evolved into working at a veterinary clinic where I was trained to monitor recovering animals and administer medications safely and with as little stress as possible through Fear Free certification. Animal body language is my second language! I love the outdoors as much as the indoors, and am more than happy to accommodate medical needs. ♡ If you would like extras taken care of during your pets stay or our visit, such as bathing, grooming, nail trims, or a run, just let me know! My dog, Leo, and I are constantly going on hikes and we are more than happy to tucker your pups out with a day trip, just reach out for rates. I currently work as a Braille Librarian for the state and used to teach Low Vision/Blind learners, and I am also fluent in American Sign Language (ASL), so I have a soft spot for dogs that may be Deaf, Blind, or DeafBlind. To top it all off, I am working on weaseling my way into Guide Dog puppy raising, and all the training tips that come along with that. ( : I commute to Salem Wednesday and Friday, which means my schedule during those days is usually pretty limited to anything after 430pm. Otherwise, my weekends are typically completely free and ready to be filled with whatever your fur babies need! Using the Fear Free method, I work with a pet's body language to determine what will work best in the current situation, and when methods may be effective versus stressful. I am ready to go at your pet's pace with whatever they may need, and clearly communicate the process along the way.

About: I’ve been around animals my entire life and absolutely love spending time with them! I grew up with several dogs, including a Border Collie, Australian Shepherd, and Husky, so I’m very comfortable caring for and being around larger, energetic breeds. Growing up with dogs taught me how important patience, attention, exercise, and lots of love are to keeping them happy and comfortable. I currently have two cats of my own, so caring for animals is still a big part of my everyday life. I genuinely enjoy getting to know each pet’s individual personality and making sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for while their family is away. I’d treat your pets with the same care and attention I give my own! I currently have a very flexible schedule, which gives me plenty of time to dedicate to pet care throughout the week. I’m available for walks, drop-in visits, playtime, feeding, and longer stays as needed. Having two pets of my own also means caring for animals is already a natural part of my daily routine! I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet and home in someone else’s care, so I always treat both with respect. I’ll closely follow any instructions you provide, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, routines, and household rules. I’m attentive to doors, gates, leashes, and anything else that could affect your pet’s safety. Most importantly, I want your pet to feel comfortable and keep their routine as familiar as possible while you’re away.

About: I grew up in rural midwest with dogs, cats, and guinea pigs since I was 9. I was a dedicated and loving dog mama to my beloved bernese mountain dog, Riker, for 9.5 years and I miss him very much. I enjoyed taking my boy to thousand acres, Mt. Tabor, and several other dog parks and we've gone on many hikes on the coast, in the gorge, and in Mt. Hood forest. I have special connections with my friends' animals and I've enjoyed taking their dogs for walks since my boy passed last March. I'm a fourth-year doctoral graduate student at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) meaning my schedule can be pretty flexible. I have two full days of clinic per week and fill the rest of the week with writing and research. When I'm not in clinic I can work with my schedule to take your fur baby on walks, check in on them to let them out, or schedule an adventure! I can also come house sit or invite your pet over for the day or extended stay. I have a fenced in backyard with ample space for throwing the ball or lounging in the sun on a picnic blanket. We also live very close to a park for on leash walks or park hangs. Our fur baby passed in March 2026 but our one-level house is still set up to be accessible with rugs on the wood flooring for traction, plenty of blankets and comfy spots to sleep, and easy access to the back yard (just two steps). We allow animals on furniture but respect your rules if that's a boundary of yours!

About: I have taken care of cats and dogs from ages 4 months to 12 years! I like to learn each animals needs and modify my care for them! I work three days a week and keep an open schedule to care for others’ animals the other four days in the week! I have a flexible schedule and can even help on the days I am scheduled at my main job! I always ask for your preferences for your animals! Whether this includes walk length, treats and food, and even mannerisms, I always want to make sure YOU and your animals are comfortable!

My passion and knowledge for this job first started when I first met a service dog in training at girl scouts, ever since then I had the need to constantly be around dogs. The jobs on this site include everything that I absolutely love! Helping others, seeing dogs and earning experience for my future dream job. If you hire me I swear I will not let you down. I only work part time currently and my favorite thing to do to get out of the house is take my dog for a long walk, he has someone else to take care of him at home, which frees me up for your pet! I take great care to learn your pet's personal schedule and needs, I will always fill any water/food bowls, clean any litter boxes (if applicable), and make sure your pet is secure and safe.

I enjoy spending plenty of time with the pets I care for rather than simply stopping by, and I’m happy to work around their routines, feeding schedules, walks, and individual needs. My availability also makes it easy for me to provide consistent care and regular updates while their owners are away. I treat every pet and home with the same care and respect I would want for my own. In a client’s home, I follow their instructions and their pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding, walks, playtime, medications if needed, and any specific house rules. I’m very attentive to safety and details, and I make sure pets are comfortable, supervised, and never left in an unsafe situation. I also keep owners updated with photos and messages so they always know how their pets are doing. About: Hello! I'm just a natural born animal lover and have been surrounded by them all my life. I have over 15years experience working with animals in veterinary care and have a B.S in Animal Health Sciences. I have had experience with just about every breed and temperament of dog there is. While my passion is for dogs that does not mean I don't also love cats and have never been without one for a pet. My experience also includes caring for reptiles, rodents, pigs and even primates! My most fulfilling work was my time working as an animal health technician in an animal shelter. It brought me pure heartbreak and pure joy. It was so sad to see what conditions brought the animals to the shelter but was also rewarding knowing that I was making a difference in their lives. During my time working in shelters, I gained experience interacting with both shy dogs and aggressive dogs and am comfortable with both. While I've always had pets, I stepped away from working with animals to work in health care some years ago. I really miss the interaction with animals and caring for them. It is my one true passion. I feel I have an instinct into how an animal is feeling and am able to meet that need. I will always make sure your pet feels comfortable and secure. I'm currently working part-time in health care so have plenty of time open to care for your pet. I mostly have afternoons, evenings and weekends available. While in your home I will take all measures to ensure that your pet is safe and secure. We will leave no doors open and will always have a dog on a leash before walking out the door.
