“Thomas was absolutely awesome ! I am so thankful that we were able to find him. I have a 2 year old intact German shepherd and my husbands work closed on short notice for 2 weeks so we decided to take a vacation. I was scrambling to find some boarding for him but if you have a large power breed who isn’t neutered than you know it can be difficult to find places that accept them. The only boarding option I could find was a no contact facility where he would have been in a kennel the WHOLE time except for 3 30-1 hr potty breaks which were on a LARGER kennel area. Totally unacceptable to me. That’s when I started looking on Rover and was so glad to find Thomas. Not only does he care for your pet he also puts in the time and energy to exercise them which is so SO important to me. He was super flexible, gave me a ton of updates and still took Bear on walks/runs during this insane 95 degree heatwave we had. I totally trusted that he kept Bear safe during that time (walking in hot weather wise). This is a person who truly cares about animals and takes care of their physical, mental and emotional needs. I don’t know how to add pictures here but if I find out how to I will. Can’t say enough good things.”

About: I have loved and cared for dogs for many years. During college, I spent five years working in a veterinary office where I gained valuable experience. I have a friendly Golden retriever who enjoys having other dogs around (large or small). I have cared for dogs belonging to our friends and family while they travel and understand how important it is to leave your pet with someone you trust. I provide a safe, comfortable home where your dog can be a part of the family while enjoying our spacious fenced yard and receive plenty of attention. Our two children are older and comfortable with dogs. They understand how to be respectful around dogs so your dog will be joining a calm, family-oriented home. I understand that every dog has a unique personality and routine and will do my best to make your dog feel at home while you're away. Pet care fits naturally into my daily life because I am home much of the time and enjoy having dogs as part of our family routine. I have the flexibility to give boarding dogs plenty of attention and outdoor time. I am able to accommodate each dog's normal routine as much as possible, including feeding schedules, medications, playtime and bedtime. My goal is for your dog to feel comfortable in our home rather than staying in a kennel. Our home has a large fenced yard where dogs can safely play and explore. My friendly Golden Retriever enjoys playing with friends. I keep my boarding groups under 2 dogs so I can give each dog individual attention and maintain a calm environment.

“Tom and Tolley and the whole family are great! This was our dog’s third stay (2nd boarding overnight) and we were a little apprehensive initially, because our dog has separation anxiety. Our dog did very well and was very excited to go back. Tom and Tolley were professional, reassuring, caring and receptive to our dogs needs. She was treated like one of the family and had a great time.. received daily updates (text, photo, video) with feedback during her stay. It was a very positive experience overall for us and our dog. It was nice to get away and not worry and feel comfortable that our dog was in good hands and we could trust them to provide and care for her. 100% positive experience.”

I work a 9–5 job from home, which means your pet gets plenty of company throughout the day rather than being left alone for hours. I’m also able to take dogs on an extended walk during my lunch break, so they can get some exercise, fresh air, and attention in the middle of the day. Whether your pet needs a long walk, some playtime, a cozy companion while you’re away, or just a little extra TLC, I’ll treat them like they’re my own. I’m dependable, attentive, and happy to follow your pet’s normal routine and preferences. Most importantly, I know how much trust it takes to leave your pets in someone else’s care. My goal is to make sure both you and your pet feel comfortable, safe, and well cared for! My weekly routine is pretty consistent, which is great for dogs who love having a predictable schedule! Every workday I start each morning with a trip to the gym, then come home and take the pups on a nice, extended walk through the Metroparks near my house. Once we’re home, I settle into work for a few hours while the dogs get some downtime. I have a fenced-in yard, so I like to let them out regularly throughout the morning to stretch their legs, sniff around, and get some fresh air. Lunchtime means another extended walk! It’s a great way to break up the workday and give everyone a chance to burn off some energy. Afterward, my own dog usually settles in for a well-earned afternoon nap while I finish up work. Once the workday wraps up, we usually head outside for one more walk before settling in for the evening. If everyone’s feeling a little less energetic, we’ll skip the walk and have some backyard fun instead, such as fetch, tug-of-war, or just general goofing around. Basically, your pup can expect plenty of exercise, fresh air, playtime, and company throughout the day, with lots of opportunities to relax and recharge too. As a dog owner myself, I know how important it is to feel confident that your dog is safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. My goal is to provide a comfortable, low-stress home environment where pups can feel like part of the family. I have a fully fenced yard where dogs can safely get outside for fresh air and playtime, along with plenty of opportunities for walks and exercise throughout the day. Since I work from home, I’m also around to keep an eye on things and make sure everyone is doing well. For daycare and boarding, I’m happy to follow your dog’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, medications, walks, crate time, and any other preferences or house rules you provide. I’ll also make sure dogs have time to relax and nap when they need a break from all the excitement. When introducing dogs to my home, I prioritize compatibility and a gradual introduction so everyone feels comfortable. I want every pup staying with me to feel safe, supervised, and genuinely at home, not like they’re being dropped off somewhere unfamiliar.

“Aspen was so great. I was nervous about using rover and leaving my dog with a stranger, but Aspen was amazing. She was very friendly and welcoming when I dropped my dog off; she told me that she would be to take Effie on a few walks throughout the day and that she might even take her up to the lake. She sent me daily pictures and updates about the walks she would take with my dog and just overall how my dog was doing. It was nice to get the updates/pictures while I was gone for the week and put me more at ease with leaving her. There was a portion of Effie’s stay that another dog was going to be there and Aspen was very accommodating and wanted to make sure it was ok with me that there was another dog there (it was), but she even offered to go to my home on those days to let Effie out if it was not. I would definitely recommend Aspen and would use her again in the future :)”
