“Jason gave us so much peace of mind while we were away for the weekend! Regular updates and photos of our dog and was super flexible when our pickup time was changed. I was so happy when I read that he volunteers at his local animal shelter because that really shows how much he cares for dogs & that he can handle all types of dogs!”

“Katlyn did a wonderful job watching my dog. She was quick to respond to messages, sent lots of picture updates and it was evident she truly cares about animals. We will definitely be using her again!”

“This is our pooches’ 2nd stay with Nicole... they had a blast! They love staying at Nicole’s and feel very at home there. Plenty of outside time running in the snow with Nicole’s sweet dogs and they also received lots of snuggles. I love how she sends pictures every day of the girls! Definite recommend!”

“Kimberly was great with my dog. I got updates daily with pictures. I can tell when my dog is stressed, and she didn’t appear stressed at all. All my instructions were followed, and medications given. I will use Kimberly again!”

“Great experience! One of my dogs is very nervous around new people and Victoria was sure to let me know she was doing ok during the stay. She was able to accommodate my drop off and pick up times without any problem and sent several pictures during my dogs' stay. I would definitely recommend her and will book her again if I need a last minute sitter!”

“Rachel did an amazing job with Guinness- he always came home happy and tired. She made sure to send updates- including pictures and made sure he got his exercise! I moved out of the area or else I would still be using her services when I traveled!”

“Absolutely amazing care and communication. Stella's stay was perfect. So so thankful we found this family. And Stella now has a new doggie best friend!”

About: As a lifelong animal lover, I understand that pets are family, and I strive to provide the same level of care, attention, and patience that I would want for my own. My background in healthcare has taught me how to be responsible, detail-oriented, and attentive to the unique needs of every individual, skills that translate naturally to pet care. I am comfortable caring for dogs of all ages, from energetic puppies who need patience and consistency to senior dogs who may require a gentler pace and extra attention. Whether it's daily walks, drop-in visits, feeding, administering oral medications, reinforcing basic training, or simply providing companionship, I prioritize your pet's safety, comfort, and happiness. I am currently a Master's student in Medical Physiology at Case Western Reserve University, which has helped me develop strong time-management, responsibility, and organizational skills. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine because I enjoy staying active and spending time with animals as a balance to my studies. Despite a busy academic schedule, I am very intentional about managing my time and maintaining commitments. Whether it's morning walks, midday drop-in visits, evening care, or weekend sitting, I enjoy incorporating pet care into my routine because it allows me to spend time outdoors and connect with animals while helping pet owners have peace of mind. Caring for pets is something I genuinely enjoy, and I treat every pet with patience, attentiveness, and compassion. As someone pursuing a career in healthcare, I value reliability, clear communication, and attention to detail, and I bring those same qualities to caring for your furry family members. I am committed to ensuring pets feel safe, comfortable, loved, and well cared for while their owners are away. When caring for pets in a client's home, I prioritize maintaining their normal routine to help them feel comfortable and secure while their owner is away. I carefully follow all instructions regarding feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications, and any specific preferences or needs. I make sure pets receive plenty of attention, affection, exercise, and mental stimulation while also keeping their environment clean and safe. If providing care in my own home, I would ensure pets have a safe, clean, and comfortable environment with plenty of supervision, exercise, fresh water, and opportunities for play and rest. My goal is always to make pets feel as relaxed and loved as possible, whether they are in their own home or mine.

“Can’t recommend Archna enough! We’ve used her in the past and will continue to use her for our 6 year old shepherd. Very communicative and responsive and takes great care of our girl. Our dog is truly a member of our family so finding someone who will give her personal attention and treat her as a member of theirs is very important to us. Knowing she’s is such great hands allows us to really be able to relax and enjoy our vacation.”

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover with experience caring for both cats and dogs. I grew up around cats and have been a dog owner myself for the past 5 years, in addition to regularly caring for friends’ dogs. I work a 9–5 job from home, which means your pet gets plenty of company throughout the day rather than being left alone for hours. I’m also able to take dogs on an extended walk during my lunch break, so they can get some exercise, fresh air, and attention in the middle of the day. Whether your pet needs a long walk, some playtime, a cozy companion while you’re away, or just a little extra TLC, I’ll treat them like they’re my own. I’m dependable, attentive, and happy to follow your pet’s normal routine and preferences. Most importantly, I know how much trust it takes to leave your pets in someone else’s care. My goal is to make sure both you and your pet feel comfortable, safe, and well cared for! My weekly routine is pretty consistent, which is great for dogs who love having a predictable schedule! Every workday I start each morning with a trip to the gym, then come home and take the pups on a nice, extended walk through the Metroparks near my house. Once we’re home, I settle into work for a few hours while the dogs get some downtime. I have a fenced-in yard, so I like to let them out regularly throughout the morning to stretch their legs, sniff around, and get some fresh air. Lunchtime means another extended walk! It’s a great way to break up the workday and give everyone a chance to burn off some energy. Afterward, my own dog usually settles in for a well-earned afternoon nap while I finish up work. Once the workday wraps up, we usually head outside for one more walk before settling in for the evening. If everyone’s feeling a little less energetic, we’ll skip the walk and have some backyard fun instead, such as fetch, tug-of-war, or just general goofing around. Basically, your pup can expect plenty of exercise, fresh air, playtime, and company throughout the day, with lots of opportunities to relax and recharge too. As a dog owner myself, I know how important it is to feel confident that your dog is safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. My goal is to provide a comfortable, low-stress home environment where pups can feel like part of the family. I have a fully fenced yard where dogs can safely get outside for fresh air and playtime, along with plenty of opportunities for walks and exercise throughout the day. Since I work from home, I’m also around to keep an eye on things and make sure everyone is doing well. For daycare and boarding, I’m happy to follow your dog’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, medications, walks, crate time, and any other preferences or house rules you provide. I’ll also make sure dogs have time to relax and nap when they need a break from all the excitement. When introducing dogs to my home, I prioritize compatibility and a gradual introduction so everyone feels comfortable. I want every pup staying with me to feel safe, supervised, and genuinely at home, not like they’re being dropped off somewhere unfamiliar.

“Once again, Katherine did a great job watching my pup. He came home happy and tired from playing with the other dogs. She kept me posted with pics during a five day sit. Thanks!!!”

“Kathy was wonderful! She sent daily pictures and updates for me. I could see my dog was spoiled with attention and care. She didn’t want to leave. I would highly recommend Kathy!”

“Takia to the rescue, i didn’t want to leave my Dog home for the Christmas Holiday and found out that she was available. I was so happy that my furbaby was able to stay with her where he receives lots of love. I always appreciate her services 💙”

“Kyra was fantastic taking care of my mom's dog when she was in the hospital unexpectedly. He is a rescue and very skittish, but Kyra made him feel comfortable and right at home. She also sent photos and updates every day. Highly recommend Kyra for your furry family members!”

About: I’ve had dogs in my life for as long as I can remember, so caring for animals has always come naturally to me. Over the years, I’ve also cared for pets for friends and family while they were out of town, including both dogs and cats. I currently have a 4 year old miniature poodle of my own, so I understand how important it is to have someone you can trust caring for your pet while you’re away. I’m attentive to each pet’s individual personality, routine, comfort level, and needs, and I want them to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while they’re with me. I’m available seven days a week with a very flexible schedule, which allows me to provide pet care throughout the day and accommodate different routines. Whether your pet needs walks, drop-in visits, companionship, feeding, or overnight care, I can work with you to maintain the schedule they’re most comfortable with. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my priority. I follow each owner’s instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, household rules, and any special needs. I pay close attention to changes in a pet’s behavior or comfort and will communicate with you if I notice anything unusual. When caring for pets in someone’s home, I’m respectful of their space and make sure doors, gates, leashes, and other safety measures are secure. I want both you and your pet to feel comfortable and confident while they’re in my care.

Michael and Regina are always fantastic. They’ve watched over Cooper several times and always take such good care of him. They’re super responsive and almost always available last minute which is a life saver. They send a ton of pictures which is very comforting when I’m out of town. I would 100% recommend Michael and Regina for dog sitting!

Mariia was amazing with my dog for our weekend trip. She left multiple updates a day with videos and had so many toys/puzzles for her to enjoy. I also appreciate how she took the time to learn all about my dogs needs and quirks right away with her thoughtful questions. Thank you Mariia!

Kara is the absolute best. I don’t worry about my Maggie for a second when she’s with Kara. She’s happy to go and enjoys her own little vacay. Kara sends photos and updates daily. Our Maggie is a bit of scaredy-cat when it comes to rain/storms and was at Kara’s house during a few at her last stay and Kara updated us and loved Maggie through it. Your pet will not be cared for better anywhere else. Kara is the right choice!!

Chelsea and her husband are always great with a watching Hank during the day for me. This time they watched him for 2 nights while I was out of town. I got photos everyday and he always has phone hanging out in the pool and playing with the other dogs. Glad I have someone I can trust to watch my little buddy for me.

Jacqueline was awesome. I will for sure rebook with her. She is so nice and carefree. I needed to modify my time with no problem. The outdoor space is perfect for any size dog to explore. Based on the pictures that I received, I was worried that my dog wouldn’t want to come home. He actually appeared to be smiling for the camera.

Tina & Rick are my go too sitters; they are kind, compassionate and understanding towards my Husky (and her behavioral changes as a senior dog). They are always flexible, which is good because I’m a huge procrastinator!!! But definitely book well in advance don’t be like me. 😂

Cody had a great time at Nicole's house. I knew he would be in good hands with her and her small children and their big dog. I'm so glad he settled in there and I highly recommend Nicole. She is so pleasant and kept me updated on Cody. I will definitely use her again on tue near future!

I never have to worry about my dog when she is with Kimberly. She’s great about sending pictures and videos so that I can see how my dog is doing. My dog has never looked stressed in any of the pictures at Kimberly’s, and that is unusual for my tender hearted dog! I will continue using Kimberly as long as she’s available!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
