“Stephanie was awesome with my puppy and was very flexible with pick up times! He had the best time with her dogs and she made she he was comfortable the entire stay. I would highly recommend!”

“My pups were very happy and healthy when I picked them up and incredibly tired from playing in Keeley’s yard! Incredibly grateful that they were in such good hands while we were out of town!”

“Nicole and her “pack” were an incredible experience for our 9 month puppy. He fit in quickly with the pack, which ultimately lead to the best month of his life. During his stay Nicole kept us updated with plenty of pics and videos. If you need day care or boarding I can’t recommend Nicole enough!”
“We were very pleased with the care given to our two dogs during our 7 day trip. Anna was great to keep us informed daily, text back quickly and stay on top of things. For the first time in many years, we actually had a relaxed vacation. We certainly will plan on using Anna again in the future.”

“We never have to worry when Tommy is at his home away from home. I know that I can leave him and he will be loved as though he were with me. We always appreciate the pictures and little notes. This stay was unique in that I had to contact Kathy and request to extend Tommy's stay because of a family member's health. Kathy was so accommodating and without hesitation kept Tommy two extra days. Tommy is already looking forward to his next "vacation"! Five stars is not enough!!!”

“Keith & Rebecca took such great care of our dog Pippy! They were very easy to communicate with & sent many photos & updates, which we really appreciated! They exceeded our expectations! Highly recommend!”

“Renee did an incredible job watching our dog Brodie. She watched him for almost 2 weeks and treated him as if he were her own. She provided top notch care for Brodie and kept us updated with daily pictures / videos. I couldn’t recommend her enough! Your dog will be in great hands with her —she truly cares. Looking forward to booking her again!”

“Anita was great. We got pictures and updates on how Pepper was doing each day. She is great at communication and did a great job taking care of Pepper. Her kids seem to enjoy having Pepper stay wit them.”

“David took great care of our dog. I would highly recommend him. He provided updates and sent pictures - this was a nice touch (especially since this was the first time leaving our dog with non-family). We will definitely use his services again in the future.”

“I was super nervous about leaving my puppy Simba for the first time. Zachary and his family took great care of him. I love that the backyard is fenced in and the dogs are able to run and play. When I picked my puppy up, he wasvery relaxed and calm and you can tell he had a good time I will definitely book with Zachary and his family for all of my future dog sitting needs.”

“Robert watched Mia at his house overnight for a few nights. He has a great fenced in backyard, perfect for our pup to run and stretch her legs. Mia came back happy and tired out from her running vacation ? We would definitely use Robert again!”

“My dog had a great time with Jessica and her family. Jessica was quick to respond to messages and sent daily pictures. Our dog was well taken care of while we were away.”

“Alexandria was wonderful with Sophie. She clearly loves dogs. She gave Sophie lots of loving and sent pics daily. I will definitely be adding her to my list of favorites for watching my baby.”

“Chance had such a great time. Ron took him on hiked and car rides Ron treated chance like he was his own. I’m very happy with Ron and I’m sure Chance can’t wait to go back. Ron sent lots of updates and totally eased my mind about leaving my dog. Highly recommend.”

“Jan was so very kind with my baby Bentley, she updated me and made me feel rest assured with check-ins and pictures. I was happy to leave my mini schnauzer with her as she also has 2 mini schnauzers which made my pups stay extra fun to have playmates. I loved she has a fenced in yard where the dogs can run & play and feel free. Bentley loved her attention and cuddle time. I'm very picky when it comes to my baby and wanted to not worry and I felt she made me relax he was in good hands. I will definitely call on her for the next trip!!”

“We have been having Pat sit our small dog in home for several years. Our small dog loves going to Pats house for a stay as she has become best friends with one of her little dogs. When we are away, sometimes for a week or more Pat puts us completely at ease. She sends daily updates along with pictures of our dog. She always follows the instructions we leave her for feeding and and specail care needs. When we pick our dog up she is always in a happy mood and we can rest assured the stay was great. Thanks.”

“We’re really happy with Debra and how she handled everything for our dog while we were out of town. We arranged for a meetup before the stay to ensure this would be a good match. When I dropped off our dog there was an introduction to the other pets in her home so our pup could get acclimated. While we were away we received daily updates with photos and it looked like our pup was having a great time. Thanks for taking good care and we look forward to scheduling with you again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - North Royalton
Swetha did an absolutely amazing job watching our dog! This was the first time we had ever left him with someone outside of our family, and she made the whole experience so easy and reassuring. She sent us constant pictures and updates, was incredibly flexible with pickup and drop-off times, and truly went above and beyond to make sure he was comfortable and happy. When he wasn’t eating, she even cooked him chicken and eggs to make sure he had something he would eat. She has a friendly black lab and occasionally watches another dog or two, which gave our dog some friends to play with during his stay. It was clear how much Swetha genuinely cares about the dogs she watches, and we felt completely comfortable knowing he was in such good hands. I can’t recommend her highly enough and will absolutely be using her again!

We had a such a great vacation knowing our dog Duke was well taken care of by Dee. We received daily video and photo updates. We liked that he got to spend time with her dogs and run around in her big backyard. Dee communicated well regarding Dukes behavior and our discipline strategy. We left her a training collar and discussed using trazadone for anxiety. It took him a bit but he seemed to learn the boundaries with her dogs once they were established. She gave medication when needed and as prescribed. Overall Duke was anxious at first being in a new environment but seemed to calm down after a few days. Dee did a great job taking time to learn Dukes personality, behavior and needs. She was patient and treated him like one of her own dogs!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
