“My dog, Lola, enjoyed Thanksgiving week with Samantha and I’ve already booked the Christmas holiday week for her. That’s high praise for Samantha’s positive style & work ethics. ***** 5 stars!”

“Stacie and Doug took such great care of my chihuahua Luna while she stayed with them for a long weekend! They sent me an update daily. Luna can be timid especially in new situations, but after one visit/meet and greet she seemed comfortable there.”

“Roza and her family were wonderful host’s. We dropped off our senior pooch for a 10 day stay. They welcomed him in and he felt right at home, then showering us with photos on his walks and relaxing in the evenings with her sweet kids. We felt very comfortable leaving him with her and will certainly be using her for future visits. She administered medication and catered to his “senior” needs. She’s very flexible, accommodating and responsive to messages as well. If you’re looking for great pet care, she’s one to consider. Looking forward to the next visit.”

“Lorie is terrific! The dogs were well cared for and safe in her home and fenced yard. We felt welcomed upon arrival and the dogs were ready for us with their things packed for departure.”

“Katlyn did a wonderful job watching my dog. She was quick to respond to messages, sent lots of picture updates and it was evident she truly cares about animals. We will definitely be using her again!”

“Lynn went above and beyond while watching my two senior chihuahuas- I wasn’t worried once while I was away from them for a trip out of town because of her daily updates with photos, videos and funny stories about their day. I can’t say enough nice things about Lynn and how comfortable she made me feel with leaving my pups with her! Absolutely recommend, and will be using her services again in the future!”
About: Hi, I’m Nicole — a lifelong animal lover and self‑proclaimed helicopter dog parent. Caring for dogs isn’t just something I do — it’s who I am. My babies are in heaven now so I’ve joined rover as a pet sitter. I’ve spent the last decade-plus loving and supporting two very different pups with very different needs. My 16‑year‑old baby boy chihuahua Harley taught me everything about caring for a truly high‑maintenance senior dog. From medications and special feeding routines to extra snuggles, slow walks, and those middle‑of‑the‑night “I need you now” moments — I’ve handled it all with patience, gentleness, and love. I also shared my life with my 11 year old Labrador-baby girl Lexi- who recently passed away from cancer on 5/19. Navigating that journey with her taught me deep compassion, vigilance, and emotional care. I became an expert in monitoring comfort levels, adjusting daily routines, and making every moment count. These experiences shaped the way I care for every dog who comes into my home: with attentiveness, understanding, and the same level of devotion I have given my own. • I treat your dog the way I treat mine — like family. • I am extremely attentive and present. If your pup needs something, I’m there. • Senior dogs and high‑maintenance fur babies are welcome. I get them. • Dogs are absolutely allowed on furniture — cuddles are encouraged here. • We don’t have a fence, but I’m a safety‑first sitter. I leash dogs for every potty break and stay right with them. • Because I work from home, your dog will rarely be left alone. • My home is calm, cozy, and dog friendly. Why I Do This I know how much trust it takes to leave your dog with someone. They’re your heart. Your family. Your little shadow. I’ve been in your shoes many times, I’ve used Rover in the past and my goal is to give you that same peace of mind I always looked for — knowing your pup is safe, loved, and truly understood. On weekdays I go to the gym early in the morning and telework daily in my private office with a comfy dog friendly couch. Sometimes I am home on the weekends and sometimes not so it depends on when you need care. If you’re unsure just message me and I can see if I am free. :) Our non-smoking home is pet friendly and I have a 12 year old daughter who loves animals. I do not have any animals in my home. For potty breaks your pet would be leashed.
“Nate and Jenna are hands down the best sitters you will find. Our pups are always thrilled to spend time with them and they are always tuckered out from all the excitement and fun they have with them. I sincerely hope that Nate and Jenna continue sitting in the future as they will be our first choice from now on.”

“Peter was GREAT!! I had a last minute trip out of town and Peter and his pup welcomed my dog Brody like one of their own! I received updates throughout my trip and I could see Brody was enjoying his stay. Upon picking him up it was evident he was well taken care of and he left tails wagging!! I know in the future if I ever need someone to sit Brody I will be reaching out to Peter first! Overall fantastic experience, thanks Peter and Winston :)”

I have a lead in the back yard for potty breaks, access to local metro park for long walks, stair gates and a pen for crating.
“I was a bit nervous the first time I left my dog with Clifford, but the experience was perfect. Clifford was thoughtful and attentive. I had a great vacation while getting periodic updates (photos and videos) that eased my anxiety. Planning on a second engagement in two weeks.”

“Carla and her family are incredible! I was in Cleveland for work and unexpectedly needed a dog sitter She was super helpful and understanding. She took my dog for walks every day, even though she barks at every cat or dog she sees when she’s on walks She sent me videos and updates without me having to even ask. I’ve never had a dog sitter before so I was kind of nervous about texting everyday because I didn’t want to be annoying, she willingly sent me updates and even offered to allow me to come visit when I miss her. I definitely recommend! Five stars”

“Lindsay was an amazing sitter for my baby Theodore. She was attentive, patient, sweet, and also gives updates on how he was doing the whole time. I got daily pictures of him and it made me really happy. I will book her again and again. Highly recommend.”

“Savannah was great! She welcomed Charlie with open arms and an open heart! Couldn't have asked for a better caretaker! Five stars just doesn't do her justice...should be ten stars! Thank you Savannah and family! Kathryn and Milt”

“Gabrielle (and Greta!) went above and beyond in helping me and my dog this week! I am extremely grateful for everything and so impressed by her passion for taking excellent care of animals! 🤍”

“I had a great experience with Victoria. She sent me several pictures throughout Sarge's stay and treated him well. Victoria was also very flexible about pickup/dropoff times and arranging our initial meet & greet. I highly recommend her.”

“archna was really great with mylo. he was truly happy, cared for and spolied. she even let mylo sleep in her bed! i was reluctant about using rover at first, but glad it all worked out for the best. mylo was there for 2 weeks and had his spring break dog vacation. he got to play and meet other dogs daily, which i thought was cool. i really appreciated the daily updates and was reassured he was in good care. will use service again.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
