“Jason was patient and thoughtful with our elderly dog. He made the accommodations we needed to meet his special needs. I was glad he was there for our dog while we were out of town!”

“Amazing dog sitter, would highly recommend. You can really tell that she and her husband care and love the dogs so much. So glad and reassured that Miso was in their hands for a week and had so much fun. Would book again for future trips!”

“Once again, Tommy has been cared for by Kathy and Graham so well that we never have to worry when we are away. It's obvious that he remembers and loves them. He enjoys his walks, cuddles and special treats!. The pictures we receive make us smile as well.”

“I cannot express enough how grateful I am for the wonderful care you provided for my dog, Luna! From the moment I dropped her off, I could tell she was in great hands. You took the time to understand her personality and needs, which made all the difference. Luna had an absolute blast during her day with you! Thank you once again for giving Luna such a wonderful day. I will definitely be reaching out for future dog-sitting needs, and I highly recommend your services to anyone looking for a caring and responsible sitter!”

“We just had our first stay with Keeley and our 6-month old pup, Ruby, had a great time! She gave us updates throughout the week and was quick to respond whenever we messaged! Knowing she had a fenced yard and kiddos to play with kept us at ease while we were away! Keeley was very flexible with our airport travels leaving early and coming home late and made the drop off and pickup seamless. She even gave us a spare leash after Ruby chewed through her own during her stay! We will definitely be booking with Keeley again!”

“Monika is the best. She is very caring even following up when we got home because our little guy was not feeling well. Her family is so nice to our little elderly buddy. Recommend her highly!”

“Dana was great. She did everything we asked and communicated well. She walked our dog 3 times a day and sent plenty of pictures to let us know how she was doing throughout her stay. We also had some medicine that we needed applied and she did that as well. We are going on another trip in a few weeks and we are planning on using her again.”

“Baker and Archie loved their stay!! I felt totally comfortable being away from them even though I had never boarded them anywhere before! We really appreciated the updates while we were gone too. Thank you for taking such good care of our boys! Will definitely be coming back!!”

“I cannot say enough great things about Ron! I want to go on a vacation just so Keyser can go over to his house and play again. Ron bonded so well with Keyser. He got plenty of exercise and I got plenty of pictures and great communication.”

“Kyra was fantastic taking care of my mom's dog when she was in the hospital unexpectedly. He is a rescue and very skittish, but Kyra made him feel comfortable and right at home. She also sent photos and updates every day. Highly recommend Kyra for your furry family members!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Broadview Heights
We had a such a great vacation knowing our dog Duke was well taken care of by Dee. We received daily video and photo updates. We liked that he got to spend time with her dogs and run around in her big backyard. Dee communicated well regarding Dukes behavior and our discipline strategy. We left her a training collar and discussed using trazadone for anxiety. It took him a bit but he seemed to learn the boundaries with her dogs once they were established. She gave medication when needed and as prescribed. Overall Duke was anxious at first being in a new environment but seemed to calm down after a few days. Dee did a great job taking time to learn Dukes personality, behavior and needs. She was patient and treated him like one of her own dogs!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
