“This was our second time booking with Victoria. Last spring, she took great care of our 16-year-old terrier, and this time she took in our 5lb chihuahua for 10 days. Victoria has a lovely family and lovely home with a fenced in yard! We were very comfortable leaving our pets with her and we would definitely use her as a sitter again! ”

“Samantha was exceptionally kind and generous towards my little dogs. She made sure that they received their medication‘s, were showered with love, affection, and care, even sharing a bed with them. I’m exceptionally grateful for how she was able to give them their medications every day, and my dogs looked genuinely happy to be there. She was incredibly thoughtful and punctual with communication, and went the extra mile by staging photo shoots with my dogs every day.I’m grateful to Samantha and would gladly rebook her anytime.”

“Sligo had the best time playing with Sarah and Brendan’s pups all weekend! Thank you so much for taking such great care of him! We will definitely be using them again :)”

“Newbie to Rover here and decided to book with Keeley to watch my golden retriever Marv. She was great and Marv came home happy! He enjoyed playing with her two golden retrievers and running in her large fenced in backyard. Will 100% book with Keeley again in the future!”

“I left my puppy with Nicole for 5 days. She sent daily updates and pictures. Bear had a blast playing with her dogs. She continued puppy training for me and he came home listening better to his commands. I will definitely use her again. Thanks so much Nicole, you are amazing!!”

“Cara was truly amazing. This was the first time I had ever had my kitty away from home and I was truly happy with how it went. She has never been around dogs before and I was truly happy that she did well with the ones that were there! I am truly happy with this whole experience😊”

“Jessica was a wonderful dog sitter for our Bucky boy. She took the time to ask about his diet, walking, and sleeping preferences. Jessica has the perfect yard and environment to watch your fur baby. We will definitely be booking with her again in the future!”
“I couldn't be happier with the care my dog received from Jeffany and her Husband. They always go above and beyond to ensure my dog was comfortable and well taken care of. From the playtime to dinner time it was clear that Jeffany and her husband genuinely love animals. I am a repeat customer and my dog always comes back happy and healthy, and I received regular updates and photos, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and loving dog sitter!”

“Stacie and Doug are great with my pug Homer and it makes me feel better dropping him off that they will take care of him and love him just like I do while I am gone!”

“I was very comfortable with leaving Mellow with Angi. She sent me pictures and kept me up to date on how he was adjusting to new surroundings. I definitely recommend her services.”

“Tolley and Tom took great care of Repeat. The family treated Repeat as if he was one of their own dogs. They sent lots of pictures and updates to help ease our mind. We would definitely use them again.”

“Caroline and Samuel were fantastic with my dog Netty. They were flexible with pick up times and they genuinely care about your dogs well being and happiness. The updates they sent made me smile and reassured Netty was in good hands. Their dog Winnie is adorable and eager to play with your dog any chance she gets! 100% recommend booking with them! Will book again soon. Thank you for a great experience”

“Carla and her family are incredible! I was in Cleveland for work and unexpectedly needed a dog sitter She was super helpful and understanding. She took my dog for walks every day, even though she barks at every cat or dog she sees when she’s on walks She sent me videos and updates without me having to even ask. I’ve never had a dog sitter before so I was kind of nervous about texting everyday because I didn’t want to be annoying, she willingly sent me updates and even offered to allow me to come visit when I miss her. I definitely recommend! Five stars”

About: I’ve had three dogs of my own over the years, so I know firsthand that dogs aren’t just pets—they’re family. I truly enjoy getting to know each dog’s unique personality, whether they’re energetic and playful, cuddly and calm, or a little shy at first. When your dog is in my care, my goal is to make them feel safe, comfortable, loved, and right at home. I’m attentive to their routines, love giving plenty of playtime and affection, and will treat your pup with the same care I would give my own. You can feel confident knowing your dog is getting both loving attention and dependable care while you’re away. I currently stay at home all day during the week so I would be able to give full attention to your pets needs. If they’re staying over the weekend I would accommodate my plans to be home while they’re in my care. Your pet(s) would have free range in my first floor apartment townhouse. There is a communal dog park that is walking distance I would take them to only if no one else was there. We have a private community that I would take them on walks throughout the day.
“Phillis and Mike did an amazing job. Always sending pictures and videos of our Ellie a 1 year old Golden Retriever. I would highly recommend them to anyone. We definitely will be back again. Thanks you very much”

“Jennifer watched our dog for a week while we were away on a family vacation. I was confident Ozzy was in good hands and enjoying his time there. Jennifer sent updates and photos every day. We will definitely return when a sitter is needed in the future.”

“Always so wonderful! He and his family treat our dog like their own! Always treating him so special. He even participates in family events- ice cream treats, sports games. He couldn’t be more at ease leaving our dog with them. Highly recommend!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Broadview Heights
We really appreciated that our pup came back tired and happy from his time with Christopher and Tricia. They provided some helpful updates and photos throughout his stay and were great about showing us the space he’d be staying in so everyone was comfortable. We’ll definitely consider rebooking with them the next time!

We had a such a great vacation knowing our dog Duke was well taken care of by Dee. We received daily video and photo updates. We liked that he got to spend time with her dogs and run around in her big backyard. Dee communicated well regarding Dukes behavior and our discipline strategy. We left her a training collar and discussed using trazadone for anxiety. It took him a bit but he seemed to learn the boundaries with her dogs once they were established. She gave medication when needed and as prescribed. Overall Duke was anxious at first being in a new environment but seemed to calm down after a few days. Dee did a great job taking time to learn Dukes personality, behavior and needs. She was patient and treated him like one of her own dogs!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
