“We have a young 4-month-old Irish terrier that we needed to be watched for a weekend. This is our first puppy and also our first time boarding him. Cara was very accommodating of our pickup/dropoff schedule and put our nerves at ease with a phone call prior to booking. She has a dog (Brutus) who is off-lead trained who really showed Sully how to be a good dog. Sully came home much more relaxed and no longer trying to bite us! Cara gave us some really good tips and tricks on how to improve our dog’s behavior and we are very appreciative. Already booked her again. Cannot recommend Cara enough! You pup will be safe, happy, well-exercised, and perhaps even better behaved than you left them!”

About: Hi, I’m Kris! Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I genuinely love getting to know each pet’s unique personality. I have two years of professional experience working in a busy doggy daycare, where I was responsible for safely supervising and caring for up to 20 dogs at a time. That experience taught me how to read canine body language, manage group play, administer medications, maintain proper cleaning and disinfection protocols, and provide a safe, low-stress environment for every dog in my care. About: I truly love animals, my favorite being dogs. i am with dogs every day all day.I have lots of experience with raising puppies and caring for dogs of many sizes and temperaments. I have owned snakes, lizards, turtles, fish;etc. so I also have experience with small animal care along with house sitting. Though I am not certified I train dogs for fun. (Basic obedience & tricks) I have even been told by a professional that I am really good at training dogs. I am a certified dog groomer. Some may say that I am a great bather and my grooms are neat. After working at an animal hospital for 2yrs I know a thing or two about pet care & what to do in an emergency so no worries your pets are completely safe in my care. Pet care is my life from the time that i wake up from the time i lay my head. i can do this in my sleep. (: in my home every dog is given the same amount of love. i do not have a fenced in yard however i take leash safety very seriously. we walk daily and i have never had a dog escape. i have tie out long enough to go where they'd like within the safe zone. we also have play time within my spacious finished basement that also has a fully stocked mini grooming salon on the opposite side. as far as drop ins in the clients home whatever care sheet you provide is what will be followed to the T.

“Jan was so very kind with my baby Bentley, she updated me and made me feel rest assured with check-ins and pictures. I was happy to leave my mini schnauzer with her as she also has 2 mini schnauzers which made my pups stay extra fun to have playmates. I loved she has a fenced in yard where the dogs can run & play and feel free. Bentley loved her attention and cuddle time. I'm very picky when it comes to my baby and wanted to not worry and I felt she made me relax he was in good hands. I will definitely call on her for the next trip!!”

I grew up with a yellow Lab who was part of my family for 15 years, and I regularly help care for my sister’s and friends’ dogs. I’m reliable, attentive, and genuinely enjoy being active with dogs. I’d love to give your pup plenty of exercise, playtime, attention, and love while you’re away! I am a full time teacher but available in the evenings after 4pm. I am available most weekends as well! I am an early riser and enjoy spending as much time outside as possible. I have a fenced yard and small sun porch. I do not have any other animals in the home so I am able to be very attentive and accommodating to your pets various needs! I live near a small public park and am walking distance to Edgewater Park. I also am more than happy to take your dog on hikes and have a vehicle that is pet-safe.

About: I got my first puppy for my 10th birthday. She was entirely my responsibility. I fed, bathed, and trained her. She was a huge white shepherd and the sweetest thing on paws I still miss her. Since then, I’ve had many, many dogs and cats through the years. I’ve been through dog training school several times. I currently have three full-sized Goldendoodles who are reasonably well trained, although they are still way too friendly. I’m retired and available about any day except Sunday afternoons: noon church service. I get my groceries delivered, so I’m here most of the time. I try to walk one of mine every day, weather permitting. I would walk your pup before I walk mine. I also have a fenced-in back yard where the dog run and play. My house is dog friendly, and I’m not overly concerned with dirt. I also have the world’s best vacuum cleaner to deal with it and all the hair. lol I have a large fenced-in back yard with river rock instead of grass, so mud is not a problem. My three friendly Doodles love racing around, especially in the snow, and they would love to add your dog to the fun. At the end of the day, we all go upstairs and sleep in my room with a baby-gate blocking the door, so there is no house roaming overnight. I also have room for crates if that’s what your dog needs to feel comfortable. I have one cat who is comfortable around dogs and knows where to hide if necessary. Please have your dog be familiar with cats or at least won’t attack her if she tries to make friends. I can accommodate special diets and know how to use a pill gun for medications.
