“Swetha and her family took wonderful care of Cooper! She kept me informed routinely and sent plenty of pictures and videos! Do not hesitate to book with Swetha! She is very responsive, kind, and diligent. Cooper received a lot of attention and love while in her care. We will book again without hesitation! Thank you kindly Swetha!”

“We had to find a last minute boarder for both our puppies and was referred to Rover. Katherine was so accommodating and took such great care of Banner and Milly. She had us come over for a meet and great a couple of days beforehand and everything went very smooth. The updates and pictures came a few times a day which reassured us that they were being well taken care of. If we end up needing to take our pups somewhere again, we won't even need to search. Thank you!”
“I have used Lynn multiple times and she is absolutely excellent. Reliable, caring, and completely trustworthy. I have total peace of mind when my dog is with her. Also great communication. Lynn is the best and I highly recommend her.”

“It was Giddy's first time with Keeley. He did great. Kelley kept me informed of how he was doing and sent me pictures of him playing in the snow. I'm sure Giddy will miss being there and playing with Luna. It was also my first time using the app. Kelley was very understanding with that and helped me when I needed to change the date. We are very pleased!”

“Angel did a great job caring for our dog Kawaii. It was our 1st time leaving her overnight anywhere and Angel put our mind at ease. She sent pictures and updates everyday without us even requesting. She took the time to ask questions about her and even let us do a meet and greet. Angel was very professional and you can tell she loves animals!! In the future I will definitely be asking Angel to care for Kawaii again.”

“Rachel was flexible about pick up/drop off times and very easy to get in touch with over the weekend. She sent pictures and updates throughout the stay. Zeke was happy and tired (probably from all the puppy play time he had this weekend!) when I picked him up. I will definitely use Rachel again in the future!”

“Takia hosted my sheepadoodle during some late planned holiday travel. She was very accommodating as we feed a raw diet to my dog, and her communication and updates were great during my time away.”

“Victoria was awesome. She made sure to get details about Coco concerning her eating, sleeping and overall daily habits. She sent photos daily and reassured me that my fur baby was doing just fine and totally comfortable in her environment.”

“My dog was legitimately depressed having to leave Kathy and Grahame. They treated her like she was their own and was spoiled like a princess. They provided daily updates and pictures which I appreciated and made me worry a lot less knowing she was going on adventures. We will use them again in the future for boarding. Couldn't recommend more, your dog will be in good hands!!”
“Aspen was so great. I was nervous about using rover and leaving my dog with a stranger, but Aspen was amazing. She was very friendly and welcoming when I dropped my dog off; she told me that she would be to take Effie on a few walks throughout the day and that she might even take her up to the lake. She sent me daily pictures and updates about the walks she would take with my dog and just overall how my dog was doing. It was nice to get the updates/pictures while I was gone for the week and put me more at ease with leaving her. There was a portion of Effie’s stay that another dog was going to be there and Aspen was very accommodating and wanted to make sure it was ok with me that there was another dog there (it was), but she even offered to go to my home on those days to let Effie out if it was not. I would definitely recommend Aspen and would use her again in the future :)”

“Archna was great! She sent me regular updates and pictures on how Mario was doing which was nice since Mario is a puppy that was recently rescued and is still getting used to being a dog.”

“Elandra is great! She listened to me on how to best care fur Gypsy who is a blind Siberian husky. Gypsy seemed so happy there and comfortable and above all safe. I think we foind Gypsy's second home.”

Kimberly was wonderful with my 2 yr old lab mix for an overnight stay! When I picked her up, she was very content and I could tell she was well cared for. She got along great with Kimberly’s dog, Kenobi-he’s extremely friendly and welcoming! I will definitely book with her again, as it was great to get updates and not have to worry.

Omg there is not enough room to express my gratitude & joy I've found through Stephanie mj doggies first overnight stay in 2 yrs I literally had to carry a 114pld pup in her house the first day of my trip I think I bugged her until she wanted to sream but no it was the opposite she start sending photos, she acutely laid her own blankets across the floor because she said he wouldn't walk on hardwood now how gentle was that.. his anxiety was on high she hand fed him and was patient as if he were the only pet that wkend if you don't book with Stephanie then im afraid that you're furry pup won't get the royal treat my dog is HUGE cane corso 114 he was a lap dog to her she was awesome I travel twice a yr this is were my dog will be she has a yard as big as a football field so he definitely got to exercise the children gave him ear rugs overall great experience

I had Roza watch my dog while I was out of town for a 5 days. She was consistently sending photos reassuring that my pup was doing good. Her family is the sweetest and took care of my 4 legged child so well. I will definitely hire her again, will recommend her to others and cannot thank her enough.
Cara was truly amazing. This was the first time I had ever had my kitty away from home and I was truly happy with how it went. She has never been around dogs before and I was truly happy that she did well with the ones that were there! I am truly happy with this whole experience😊

Abbey and her family were amazing with our senior dog! I could tell when we picked him up that he was comfortable and well taken care of. She was able to give him his medication and also sent us photos of him cozying up on the couch. Thank you for making Leo feel loved and comfortable during an important day for us (our wedding). We will definitely reach out to Abbey again for all our future pet sitting needs.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
