I have had dogs all my life. I grew up with a small dog, rescued a dog 12 years ago, and currently have my own dog that I raised from a puppy, Archie. Together, Archie and I have taken numerous training courses, such as: FIT dog, Canine Good Citizen, Therapy Dog, Beginner 1 & 2, Agility, and more. Archie is well trained and I can work on commands with your dog, too, if you'd like. I have been watching dogs of all ages for roughly 12 years. I have experience giving medication. When your dog stays with us (me and Archie)- they will get plenty of exercise and are welcome to go on car rides with us.

Riya was communicative and our boy was very comfortable with her while we were away. Getting all the photos and updates made us feel at ease and we’re thankful.
Riya took great care of our senior special needs dog, two cats, and a dozen chickens. She’s an excellent communicator and we’re looking forward to working with her again!

Flexible and awesome.
Riya did an excellent job caring for our 2 year old toy poodle while we are out on vacation as a house sitter. She fed him, walked him and made sure to send us a daily update with pictures on his activities - giving us the peace of mind he was safe and cared for while we were away from our little boy. We will be sure to use Riya’s services again the next time we need to travel and need someone to watch Wilkie at home.
I deeply appreciate Riya! She's been great with my big, older dog Chewie and kitty Chase. She's been here multiple times, and is super reliable and communicative. Would definitely have her stay with them again if possible!

Schedule
I work full time during the school year. I live close to work and can stop home if needed. My work day is roughly 8-3:30 Monday-Friday. I do not work weekends and will be available to spend the majority of the weekend with your pup!

Safety, trust & environment
I can easily crate your dog if needed. I live in a duplex on the ground floor (so minimal stairs). I can close doors as needed to keep the dog in a smaller space. I have a front yard and a small, unfenced backyard, but your dog will be on the leash at all times for safety reasons.

A typical day
I have many games (sniffle mat, hidden treats, etc.) and toys for your dog to play with. If they enjoy car rides then I will happily take them on one!
