About: Hi! I’m Erica. I work from home, so your pet won’t be sitting alone all day while you’re away. Whether they need walks, playtime, couch time, or just someone around, I’ll be there to keep them company. I’m reliable, easygoing, and a big animal lover. Friends and family have trusted me with their pets for years, and I know how important it is to find someone you feel comfortable leaving them with. I’ll treat your pet like they’re my own, stick to their routine, and send plenty of photos and updates along the way. I know leaving a pet can be stressful, so I want you to feel confident they’re in good hands. I work from home full time, so my schedule is pretty pet friendly. Whether your pet is staying with me, needs a drop in visit, a walk, or overnight care, I have flexibility throughout the day and can usually work around their normal routine. Since I’m home most of the time, pets staying with me get plenty of attention, company, and potty breaks instead of being left alone all day. My evenings and weekends are also wide open, which gives me even more time to spend with them. I take pet care seriously and know that trust is a huge part of leaving your pet with someone new. I always follow feeding instructions, medication schedules, walk preferences, and any other routines that help your pet feel comfortable and secure. Since I work from home, I’m able to keep a close eye on pets staying with me throughout the day instead of leaving them alone for long periods. I pay attention to the little things, like changes in appetite, energy levels, or behavior, and I’ll always reach out if something seems off. I want pets to feel safe, relaxed, and at home while they’re with me. Whether they need extra exercise, extra patience, or just someone nearby while they nap, I’ll do my best to make sure they’re comfortable. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pet is being well cared for.
“They took good care of my senior dog. He hadn't been around other dogs during sitting always timid and barking. He hung out with other dogs no anxiety or was he timid when he came home. Thanks many pictures sent to me during visit. Very happy with care given.”

“Lynn is the best Rover we ever had. She plays games with her dogs and makes sure to find the best way to get our picky eater to eat. Our dog is very comfortable at her house because she is treated like Lynn's dogs and she fits in with her pack. We get daily updates with pictures and videos and we never have to worry about our dog while we are away.”

“Ally did a great job with our pups while we were out of the country. She kept in close contact with lots of updates and pics to ease our mind. I would recommend her to anyone. I would note that her place might be a little small for two big dogs (that's what we have , but that's probably best determined case by case.) ”

“Christine was such a lifesaver for me watching my two dogs while I went out of town! I never leave them with anyone other than family, so this was a little scary for me, but they came home happy and tired from their long weekend away! Christine kept me posted with daily pictures and updates, which I appreciated. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who needs a reliable pet sitter!”

“Kimberly was great with my dog. I got updates daily with pictures. I can tell when my dog is stressed, and she didn’t appear stressed at all. All my instructions were followed, and medications given. I will use Kimberly again!”

“Aspen was amazing with Natty. She gave tons of updates and took lots of pictures. I could tell my dog felt completely safe, comfortable, and loved in her care.”

“Kyra is perfect for our dog Dakota “Koti”. Koti has stayed with her twice and loves her. I think the feeling is mutual! We never want to use anybody else.”

“This was our first time leaving Stash for an extended period of time. We certainly would not have enjoyed our time if it weren’t for that fact that we knew he would be loved and cared for by Kathy as if he were her own. Kathy sent pictures and updates every day and you could see how comfortable he was there with her.”

“This was our second time booking with Victoria. Last spring, she took great care of our 16-year-old terrier, and this time she took in our 5lb chihuahua for 10 days. Victoria has a lovely family and lovely home with a fenced in yard! We were very comfortable leaving our pets with her and we would definitely use her as a sitter again! ”

“Swetha and her family were amazing with Maggie! They were flexible with our drop off and pickup schedule. She sent us several updates with pictures. Maggie made friends and love her stay there. We will 100% be using them for all of our future trips for boarding and doggy day care! 10/10 experience.”

“My dog, Lola, enjoyed Thanksgiving week with Samantha and I’ve already booked the Christmas holiday week for her. That’s high praise for Samantha’s positive style & work ethics. ***** 5 stars!”

“Leonard and family took great care of our little Daisy! She made herself at home which was clear from the daily pictures we got while we were away. Communication was amazing and he was patient with our lack of cell coverage while we were on a cruise and our flight delay on the way back. We will definitely book again when needed!”

About: I was four years old when I began training our family dog. I was home alone for a few hours and crafted a special bond with our purebred Rottweiler named Zeus. Sometimes I get along better with animals than people, probably because my family has always bred dogs and treated them as part of the family. My parents helped me train our multiple dogs as the years went by and the most important lesson I learned was patience and consistency. I will treat your pet as a member of my family! I have a park a block away from my apartment and I love finding creative ways to entertain and teach animals. I can't wait to be a part time parent to your animal! I am very flexible so please don't hesitate to tell me your needs, even if they seem strange! I exercise my pets everyday and ensure they are training consistently. I currently have a flexible schedule so we can work on your needs and scheduling. My home is puppy proof, along with a gate I use to separate the upstairs from downstairs so my cat can have some peace and quiet lol
“Shannon and Robert were absolutely wonderful! Their family is so kind, and their children were great with Henry. He settled in right away and honestly didn’t seem like he wanted to leave when we picked him up. They kept him active all day, so he came home happy and completely worn out (in the best way!). We’d absolutely trust them with Henry again and look forward to booking with them in the future.”

“Leslie is amazing. She takes great care of our fur babies and always does a little extra that helps us know things will be fine while we are gone (water plants, bring in mail, etc).”

“Jennifer and her family were fantastic hosts for Blake. They took the time to understand his special needs and quirks and took very good care of him. Thank you!!”

“Gareth was amazing!! I was nervous about boarding my dog as it was my first River experience, but it was such a breeze. I got constant communication, his dog Millie played with mine the whole time, and it made me feel so much better about traveling for the first time without the pup. Will absolutely ask them to sit again!!”

Chelsea and Mike were great! Very accommodating and caring to my two Bassett hounds. Chelsea sent many pictures and were extra conscientious about the heat and making sure the pups had plenty of water and not too much outdoor time in the 90+ heat. Will definitely use them again!

We have used Keeley as our dog sitter multiple times and continue to rebook with her because she is truly amazing. She is reliable, caring, and always treats Loki like he is her own. This past weekend, we got married and wanted Loki to be part of our special day. Keeley was incredibly accommodating and we were able to coordinate having someone pick him up for the wedding and bring him back afterward. She was so agreeable and made the entire process stress free. Knowing Loki was in such good hands allowed us to fully enjoy our wedding day. We can’t recommend Keeley enough and will definitely continue booking with her in the future!

Rick and Tina are always great with my senior dog, Syria!!!! She is about 17 years old and she loves it over there. They are prompt with their updates and pics!!! There fenced in backyard adds extra piece of mind as my dog is an escape artist. 🤪 Thank you for taking great care of my pup!!! ❤️❤️

Kimberly (and Kenobi) were a 10! Absolute perfection. She took such good care of Harper. Followed my instructions as given. She sent updates, pics and videos daily. Absolutely no complaints. Kenobi and Harper became buddies. He provided playtime and guidance for Harper as well. We have found our sitter for life. Give them a try. I promise no disappointment. Smiles only!

Tori was awesome! I received daily updates and multiple pictures which made me so happy! Bailey was in such great hands! She had cuddles, treats and lots of fun with her dogs Barley and Porter. If you want your pup to have fun and feel home I highly recommend Tori. Bailey can’t wait to see them again!

This was my first time using Rover or even boarding my dog with someone who wasn’t a family member. Needless to say, I was pretty nervous about it and when I dropped my dog off, she was so worried and upset. But Hannah was a pro. She never made me feel like I was asking about my dog too much and alleviated any worries I had, always with a calm and understanding demeanor. Sent plenty of pics and updates and it wasn’t long before my dog warmed up to her. Thanks again Hannah!

They did a wonderful job watching our girl Mouse. She had recently been spayed and they took time and care to make sure she didn’t have any issues while we were traveling for work. We will absolutely use their boarding services again. They sent daily photos and updates which were greatly appreciated. 10/10

Cara was truly amazing. This was the first time I had ever had my kitty away from home and I was truly happy with how it went. She has never been around dogs before and I was truly happy that she did well with the ones that were there! I am truly happy with this whole experience😊

Devon was awesome! She took great care of my GSP while my husband and I were away. He is a special needs dog and she unfortunately had to experience two episodes while we were gone. She handled it amazingly and kept us updated. Our dog requires medication and Devon was on top of it. Know your dog will be in great hands with Devon! Would highly recommend. She was very accommodating and took great care of our guy.

First time boarding with Malik for a longer stay (5 days/4 nights instead of an overnight) and it went really well. I received some updates while I was gone and I returned to my pack (2 dogs and a cat) in good health and good spirits. Malik does an excellent job caring for my animals and has secured me as a returning customer!

Heather was great at watching our Beni. She sent us pictures everyday of him to let us know he was doing okay. Our boy has major anxiety, but we felt that Heather was great at managing that. She proposed that we did a meet and greet beforehand which I appreciated. Thank you so much for watching our boy!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
