“I never have to worry about my dog when she is with Kimberly. She’s great about sending pictures and videos so that I can see how my dog is doing. My dog has never looked stressed in any of the pictures at Kimberly’s, and that is unusual for my tender hearted dog! I will continue using Kimberly as long as she’s available!!”

“We went to Cleveland for a baseball game and needed someone to watch our 4 lb Chihuahua named Squeaky. Katherine was flexible with us on what times we could drop off and pick him up. Katherine has lots of experience with all kids of dogs. When we met her I felt more at ease leaving our small dog in her care. She sent us pictures and text updates while we were at the game. When we came to pick him up, Katherine was waiting with all his things ready. We would definitely use her services again if we're in the Cleveland area in the future. Katherine noticed I billing error from the app I did not know about and she took the initiative to report it and arrange for money sent back to me. She is very honest and she really loves dogs and cats. Squeaky played with the other dogs once he lost his fear of larger dogs with Katherine's help.”

“Jessica was wonderful watching our dog Alfie! We met prior to make sure she and her dog would be comfortable with him. She’s very flexible and accommodating with timing and was so great with sending updates and pictures while we were gone. I would highly recommend her, she’s very caring and responsible! :)”

About: I have a miniature schnauzer who I trained and raised from a puppy. I’m looking to gain more experience with all kinds of dogs. I am very interested in fostering later in life and I am missing my pup while I’m away at school. I know life can be hectic so I am excited to help anyone out a little and meet some new pets in my free time! I am working part time and in school. This summer(June/July) will be quite busy for me. I have classes Mon/Wed/Fri from 10a-2:10p :,) So unfortunately I have less time to spend time with pups for the time being. Tuesday’s and Thursday’s, as well as weekends, I am available and looking to fill that time earning a little extra money and spend time with some furry friends! Every week looks a little different and I don’t always have work in the morning so please feel free to reach out, I may be available! :) I know every pet is different and needs different things. I am very flexible and happy to cater to different situations as they come. I enjoy walking and exercising so I am happy to do long and short walks, parks and more. I have an anxious dog myself so I understand some pets need a little space when meeting new people and new environments. I’m looking to give your pets the best experiences possible and listen to any instructions you may have for them.
About: I’ve taken care of animals my entire life. I currently have a small Havapoo, but have had big dogs, cats, bunnies, and guinea pigs. I have experience with training, as well as administering medicine if need be. When I first moved away from my family, I was so nervous to try to find care for my pup while I was away! I am so thankful I have had amazing experiences with Rover, and I’m excited for the opportunity to give others an amazing experience, especially those who may be a little weary and nervous like I was at first! I work from home Monday - Friday, and have flexibility on the weekends so your pup will be in great hands with round the clock care! I have a fenced in yard and a very friendly Havapoo that is dying to keep your fur baby company! If staying in my home, I will absolutely follow any special instructions or needs for your dog to make them feel right at home and keep them in their routine. For clients home, I will always make sure I leave the home the way I found it, and of course keep your fur baby in their routine!
The median cost per night for pet boarding in Cleveland is $45
Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Cleveland
Mary was truly wonderful! My dog immediately felt at home and Mary was so communicative and kind during her entire stay (even when Opal was terrified of the 4th of July fireworks). We have moved several times and have had many Rover experiences - Mary is absolutely one of the bests. Can't recommend her highly enough!
Jessica was wonderful watching our dog Alfie! We met prior to make sure she and her dog would be comfortable with him. She’s very flexible and accommodating with timing and was so great with sending updates and pictures while we were gone. I would highly recommend her, she’s very caring and responsible! :)

I had a wonderful experience with this sitter! She took great care of Morty and Archie while I was away and made sure all of their needs were met. She kept me updated throughout their stay with plenty of photos and videos, which gave me so much peace of mind. It was clear that she genuinely cared about them and treated them like her own. Both dogs came home happy, healthy, and well cared for. I would absolutely trust her with my pets again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter!

This was my first time using Rover or even boarding my dog with someone who wasn’t a family member. Needless to say, I was pretty nervous about it and when I dropped my dog off, she was so worried and upset. But Hannah was a pro. She never made me feel like I was asking about my dog too much and alleviated any worries I had, always with a calm and understanding demeanor. Sent plenty of pics and updates and it wasn’t long before my dog warmed up to her. Thanks again Hannah!

Devon was awesome! She took great care of my GSP while my husband and I were away. He is a special needs dog and she unfortunately had to experience two episodes while we were gone. She handled it amazingly and kept us updated. Our dog requires medication and Devon was on top of it. Know your dog will be in great hands with Devon! Would highly recommend. She was very accommodating and took great care of our guy.

Olivia was an amazing Rover sitter! She and her partner took such great care of Charlie. He was so happy when we picked him up, which says everything. They were also very flexible when our pickup time changed, which we really appreciated. We’ll definitely be using them again in the future! Thanks again for everything!

Shirley is truly amazing. She’s attentive, patient, and treats my dogs as if they were her own. I never have to worry because I know they’re safe, happy, and surrounded by kindness. The care, consistency, and heart she puts into what she does is truly incredible. From the moment I met her, it was clear she has a genuine love for animals, and my little crew feels it every single time they’re with her. Bianca and Dolce absolutely adore Shirley. Knowing my dogs are so deeply loved and cared for when I’m away brings me complete peace of mind.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
