“Kaitlynn was awesome. She touched base with me daily with updates and pictures of Bailey. She was accommodating to Bailey and her needs. I will definitely book with Kaitlynn again.”

“Angela was an absolutely fantastic sitter for our dog! From the moment we met her, we could tell she genuinely cares about animals. She was attentive, responsible, and kept us updated with daily photos and messages, which gave us much peace of mind while we were away. Our dog was happy and well cared for when we returned. Angela followed all of our instructions perfectly, including feeding instructions and walks. We will definitely be booking her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy sitter!”

“Austin was so great! After a horrible rover experience with another sitter we knew our Banks would be happy here! We got regular pictures of our sweet boy playing and looking like a dog on the best puppy vacation! He came back tired in the best way (which is saying a lot as Banks is a 5 year old Border Collie), and strangely smelling fantastic! We can not thank Austin enough for taking care of our big guy!”

“Lillian was so wonderful! She sent detailed reports and lots of photos. She took Rawlings on so many adventures and was very patient with his quirks. We will definitely work with Lillian again!”

“Stephanie was awesome! She let me bring Ruby out to meet her and her husband before the stay. Ruby enjoyed her 2 dogs and stephanie even sent me pictures the whole stay!”

“Stacie and Doug took great care of our little guy! They provided regular updates and pictures while we were away. I would highly recommend them to anyone and plan to use them again in the future. Thank you!”

About: I’ve worked with many breeds and temperaments of dogs over the years and now nothing surprises me. Where you need drop-ins, overnight stays, extended boarding, or a brief walk, I’m always available. Proceed with caution, belly rubbing conditions apply. I currently work part-time during the day and have usually free evenings. I go on early walks/runs and having a sidekick would improve my community experience. My schedule also allows sufficient breaks to attend to your fur babies’ needs. I have a very secure apartment with multiple key-required entrances and locked apartments. It’s a full house of pet love with my room mates also available to play. There is enough play pen space for running around or just lounging strictly within the apartment, with controlled outdoor activities.
“Susan and Kenny were great! This was my first time leaving Mickey overnight- and I was so nervous like most dog moms are the first time they leave their fur babies. Susan helped ease the anxiety and kept me posted with Mickeys adventures with pictures and text updates. We recommend Susan and Kenny to anyone looking for small dog care, and will definitely be utilizing them again!!! Thank you! 😊”

“I can’t recommend Sarah and Brendan enough!! They were so sweet, responsive and took great care of our girl! We loved all the updates and pictures they provided. We will definitely be using them again ??”

About: My name is Ivette and I currently study at Case. My husband is a USPS mail carrier and I work from home. Currently, I have one dog and two rescue cats🐾. During the pandemic, I spent a significant amount of time with my pets indoors where I had the opportunity to take care of two litters that my dogs had. I learned many skills during that time. With age, my dog became a senior dog and had to take oral medication so I am used to giving oral/topical medication to pets. I have been living in the Cleveland area since 2019 but I am originally from Texas. My current home has a fenced back yard and a good route for walks. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since i was a little girl, they’re an important part of my life. Every dog that visits will receive a bath if requested! Very good with senior pups! I have a very flexible work, as well as my husbands schedule so always there to do potty breaks and just give some love and attention! I have one dog right now, he’s a 6 year old lab. He’s pretty chill, likes to play & would love to have a buddy to play with!
“she always does such a great job and is so amazing about keeping you in the loop and updated, i was away for about 11 days and i have a puppy and a senior pup and her and Colt (her pup) were such amazing sitters and were so great with both of my pups for the long stay 🐾 🦴 💜”

“As always, Karin did an amazing job taking care of our dog Graycie. From daily pictures to even letting her crash a Thanksgiving family photo, she makes sure Graycie is taken care of and loved. We can’t thank you enough!”

“Chelsea was simply amazing. Her lovely family took care of my dog Lola the best possible way. From morning walks, slumber parties, and daily photos Chelsea went above and beyond to ensure that my dog was loved and well cared for.”

“Flora was very good with my pup, she sends pictures and gave him a lot of exercise. I love that she gives a list and time of everything they did during the stay.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 8 years old. At that time, we got a standard poodle puppy (Inspector Gadget) who I fed, walked, played with, and let out before/after school everyday. When he was about 3, we also got a springer spaniel (Sookie) from the shelter who was an absolute angel, and mine and Gadget’s best friend. I always made sure they had what they needed and felt loved! I took care of Gadget until he sadly passed at the age of 14, and Sookie until she passed at the age of 10, so I have experience with elderly dogs as well. My mom recently got a golden retriever puppy who I would visit to walk, feed, and play with occasionally while she is at work. I also have experience with birds and cats. I am currently working as a resident at one of the local hospitals, so my schedule is variable, but by booking me you know that you will get a trusted professional to care for your pets. I am free every other weekend to care for pets, and am generally free in the evenings of weekdays. I have no problem showing any pet love, regardless of size or breed, and will make sure they get the attention and love they need! I am used to big and mid-sized dogs since that’s what I grew up with, so walking large dogs will not be a problem. I am familiar with standard training practices for dogs as well and will adhere to any specific instructions.
“Such a great experience! Angel took wonderful care of our shy and slightly neurotic dog. He had a great week with Angel and had fun meeting other dogs. She sent regular updates and pictures to put me at ease. We will definitely request Angel again!”

Another wonderful stay for my pups. This was the first longer stay for my pup, Teddy and he can be nervous with new people. Seeing pictures of him playing with the other pups and cuddling with Susan and Jason made me so happy. I am so grateful to have found such a wonderful sitter for my two dogs.

Our pup Charlie was in great hands with Alyssa and her crew for the last 10 days. From the start, Alyssa was responsive, communicative, and made us feel completely at ease while we were away. She shared frequent updates, photos, and videos, which gave us real peace of mind. It was obvious Charlie was getting plenty of attention, exercise, and playtime, and he looked happy and well cared for throughout his stay. We came home to a relaxed, healthy pup, and we’re so grateful for the care he received. We wouldn’t hesitate to leave Charlie with Alyssa again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring to watch their dog.

Ivette was so incredible with my senior dog! She updated me about how he was doing including potty breaks, meals, and medications. He has special needs and she was very accommodating for all of my requests and went above and beyond with making him at home and comfortable. We appreciate that she was very helpful and flexible with some changes to our itinerary. Eich was very happy when we picked him up! I'm a very anxious pet parent and am always nervous leaving Eich but felt very comfortable that he was well taken care of. We highly recommend Ivette!

Tove & Gerry are the best. Our 10 year old Golden Doodle Marley had only been boarded once in her life. From the first minute that she walked into their home Marley was comfortable. They took great care of her, sent updates and pictures and cared for her like she was their own. Tove even slept with Marley one night when her tummy wasn’t feeling great. You couldn’t ask for two more wonderful people to watch your little one.

she always does such a great job and is so amazing about keeping you in the loop and updated, i was away for about 11 days and i have a puppy and a senior pup and her and Colt (her pup) were such amazing sitters and were so great with both of my pups for the long stay 🐾 🦴 💜

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
