Beyond caring for my own dogs, I volunteer with a local animal shelter for a “Dogs Day Out” program where I take shelter dogs on outside to provide socialization, exercise and enrichment. These experiences alone have strengthened my understanding of dogs with many personalities and needs, allowing me to provide compassionate, attentive, and reliable care for every pet I get to meet. :) I work in the emergency department, so my schedule varies, but my partner and I live together so generally when I am not home he is there, and vice versa. When I’m not at work, I will spend all my time with your pet, taking them on walks, to dog parks, to get pup cups, etc, whatever you as the owner allow or prefer! I have a fenced in yard at my home, so dogs can be off leash to exercise, use the potty, and play time. During their stay in my home, they are welcome to be free roaming, not in crates, unless owners would prefer crates.

Ensuring a safe and calming environment is my first priority when taking care of your pet. Building trust with a new human takes time and patience and is not a process I will rush. Where do I even begin? We have a 20-year-old senior cat, and we had never trusted anyone else to care for him before. Leaving him was something I was incredibly anxious about, but Alexis made the entire experience so much easier. She was so patient, kind, and gentle with our sweet senior boy. She did an amazing job giving him his medications and always kept me updated after each visit with thoughtful messages and pictures. Honestly, I don’t know who she comforted more—me or my cat!
