“Brittney was great. My normally shy cats instantly took a liking to her, and she took great care of them while I was out of town. Would definitely hire her again.”

“Abby is amazing! She was timely and thorough with her visits and reporting. She was attentive to my baby’s needs and when he needed more play time and attention. She sent plenty of updates and pics of my Bentley smiling! :-) This was our first time using this service and I couldn’t have gotten a better person”

“Courtney was truly amazing!!! She took care of all of our animals with such good care!! She was very attentive to all of them and very responsive to me! I would highly recommend booking with Courtney! We will def be rebooking with her in the future!! All of our pets loved her!”

“Amanda is so awesome, attentive, and sweet! She came for a meet and greet before watching our dog and she made sure she got to know him as well as learn everything I had to tell her about our dog and his routine. Her drop in visit was thorough, with regular updates and communicaton and a couple of pictures. We came back to a happy, calm dog on a busy weekend. We are grateful for Amanda and definitely recommend her!”

About: Even though we do not have dogs ourselves, I grew up with many rescue dogs. Friends and neighbors have trusted me to care for their pups! I love to play with them, take them for long walks, or just cuddle. I am a full-time university professor. During the school year, I work from home on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. I am also available Tuesday and Thursday late afternoons evenings. I am happy to schedule weekend care. My summer (mid-May to mid-August) is much more open and flexible. I am available for multiple daily home visits, but not for overnights. Since I had a "super senior" cat who needed daily meds, I am punctual and diligent about care. I am excellent at paying attention to details. I give all animals attentive, loving care!

About: I’ve had lifelong experience caring for dogs and cats, understanding their behaviors, routines, and needs, and always providing attentive, reliable, and loving care as if they were my own. As of right now, I am open to take care of these sweet animals pretty much anytime. Early mornings to late afternoons would be best, however I can be flexible with nights. My goal is to make your pet as comfortable as possible while you’re away. I am more than happy to accommodate any special needs/requests you may have.
“Catherine took good care of my bunnies while I was on a trip. She put good attention to their care and made sure they were eating well and comfortable!! She also communicated very clearly and promptly which made me feel at ease that they were in good hands. Thank you Catherine!!”

“Kim was amazing! Our doggies love her and she was always on top of sending pictures/videos and updates. She made us feel like we didn’t have to worry about our fur babies while being out of town. She came prepared and asked questions about how to care for our doggies. She really treats them as if they were her own and it shows by how much our dogs enjoyed her watching them. Don’t hesitate to book with Kim! We will definitely be booking with her again in the future!”

About: Available for both walks and drop-in visits; early morning or after 3-4. I have a very sweet dog of my own (his name is Cooper and he gets along very well with other dogs, if your dog ever likes playing/walking with other dogs). He is full of energy, so I am used to long walks and lots of play time. I am also willing to run with your dog if you want / if they enjoy that! I have experience with puppies, special needs dogs, and older dogs. Feel free to leave special instructions so that your pup gets the best care possible. If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to reach out and ask me! I’m happy to help however I can.
“Randy was absolutely wonderful at taking care of our pets while we were on vacation (a dog and a cat). He was communicative and took many pictures during his drop ins. Our dog ended up peeing on the upstairs carpet multiple times while we were away and he took the initiative to clean it up for us. Randy also came out a week before we left to meet the animals so the dog/cat could get used to him being around for the week.”

“Lauren was awesome with our beloved cat Regan. She was punctual everyday for her drop in visits and spent extra time with Regan. Lauren was very professional. Regan is a senior cat with some health issues. Lauren was very conscientious when monitoring Regan’s medications and administration which helped us feel more comfortable . We will definitely be using her again.”

“Sandra is awesome! My critters love her and I'm thrilled about that! It is so relaxing to be out of town and have your pets in their own home, well-cared for, with someone you trust and who has their best interests at heart.”

“Molly was amazing! Upon doing meet and greet you could tell she was professional and reliable. She was quick to communicate and great with sending updates. You could tell she really cares about your pets. Will definitely book with Molly again!”

About: I have been around pets all my life's and mostly cats/dogs. I became a pet sitter and pet groomer after high school when I noticed i loved being around animals all the time. I feel more relaxed with a dog than I do meeting a new friend. Dogs and cats have been there when I needed them most. While working with pets I got to know basic training, puppy care and senior care too in my grooming classes I went too. Over time I expanded to groom snalled pets such as ferrets, guinea pigs, and small birds. I wake up around 8-9am feed my fur babies and then eat breakfast. 10am to 12pm clean any mess they made or clean around house. 1-2pm feed and eat lunch. 3pm-4pm watch a show or movie and cuddle on the couch with fur babies. 5-6pm start feeding dinner. 6-7pm go for a walk around the block. 8-9pm get ready for bed. I love having fur babies with me. They are more loving then people sometimes. I've had a dog, a cat, a rabbit and a ferret. My dream is to have a small farm one day.

Catherine took good care of my bunnies while I was on a trip. She put good attention to their care and made sure they were eating well and comfortable!! She also communicated very clearly and promptly which made me feel at ease that they were in good hands. Thank you Catherine!!

This was the 3rd time we have booked with Courtney, and as usual everything was 100% perfect when we returned. This was a longer trip than normal for us, and we were very appreciative of her care and attention to our cats. Will definitely continue to book with her.

Molly took great cat of my 3 cats! She has a background in pet health care & is skilled in giving medications, as well as pet behavior & health issues, which put me at ease in leaving them for a few days. She is very reliable & great in communicating & sending updates. The cats were well taken care of while we were gone. Will definitely book with her again.
This was our second time booking with Sirena. As expected, she responded quickly to my request/messages and followed the instructions I left for her perfectly. I was at ease knowing our kitty was in good hands while we were away. I highly recommend booking with Sirena, I know we will ask for her services again.
Emony was a lifesaver! I had a nine day trip ahead of me and needed to find someone to care for my cat, Peaches. He’s the sweetest cat in the world, but is very shy with people he doesn’t know and will curl up in the boxspring of my bed until they’re gone. So I was very worried about hiring a stranger. I took one look at Emony’s picture and knew she’d be perfect. When she came over to learn the ropes, she was as sweet and as kind as she looked and low and behold, it didn’t take long for him to come out and meet her! This alone was rather miraculous, but over the time she cared for him he let her pet and even brush him! She was absolutely fantastic and from now on, she’ll be his forever sitter. If you’re looking for a kind and thoughtful person to care for your pet while you’re away, I highly recommend Emony.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
