“Suzanne took the time to intro herself before booking and took excellent care of my cat which has some unique quirks/needs. She’s very professional yet personal and cares for pets. She was communicative and also flexible with the schedule. I will definitely work with Suzanne again in the future.”
“Anthony was great with our dogs and even showed up for us on a holiday! We really appreciate the updates and thorough feedback. Will be booking again in the future for sure — two happy pups!”

“Natalie did a great job taking care of my cats! She spent lot of time playing with and brushing the friendly one and the shy, skittish cat who hides from everyone was lured in, too. She provided a thorough update about each day's visit, along with plenty of photos. I highly recommend her.”

“Matthew watched our two babies over Memorial Day weekend and he did a great job! The pups warmed up to him instantly. He took lots of pictures and communicated scheduling really well. I had no worries during the whole trip. We will definitely be using him again in the future 😊”

“Christy did an amazing job! The dogs love her and she is so gentle and kind. I texted her asking if she could drop in a few hours early one day because our schedule changed. She immediately responded and dropped in on our dogs within minutes. We were feeding one of our dogs chicken and rice and we ran out and she offered to bring some on her next drop in! We couldn't ask for better service and care! We will book her again!”

“Abigail was amazing- she showed up right on time and even suggested coming an additional time to bring the dogs in early on a very hot day. Definitely recommend her and will be using her frequently!”

About: Available for both walks and drop-in visits; early morning or after 3-4. I have a very sweet dog of my own (his name is Cooper and he gets along very well with other dogs, if your dog ever likes playing/walking with other dogs). He is full of energy, so I am used to long walks and lots of play time. I am also willing to run with your dog if you want / if they enjoy that! I have experience with puppies, special needs dogs, and older dogs. Feel free to leave special instructions so that your pup gets the best care possible. If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to reach out and ask me! I’m happy to help however I can.
“I have two cats, one being diabetic and Katie was able to help me last minute when my sitter fell through. She sent me multiple updates and took care of everything I needed! Would definitely recommend Katie again!”
About: In Kindergarten, my family got our first puppy. Her name was Daisy and she is my guardian angel. We grew up together, we played together, I learned the responsibilities, better yet I discovered my natural connection with animals. I nurtured her when we were scared of storms and picked her up going upstairs during her senior years. Years later our family got another puppy named Mowgli and he is my pal. Raising him was a different task and experience but he turned out to be a great partner. We run, fetch, catch and of course clean and bathe often. I have dog sit and walked for neighbors and family. It would be amazing to get to know your pup! Currently working part time so very flexible. Hoping to have more time to assist in pet needs and get to know some new furry friends. Backyard has a fence and house has a few floors to play. If preferred or allowed, sure don’t mind pets in the bed or couch.
“Bailey was fantastic!!! I needed someone to help last minute for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and she was able to make it happen. My dog, Scout, was immediately comfortable with her. He gave her lots of snuggles and kisses while I was gone. I could not have asked for a better sitter to trust with my pup over the holidays! I highly recommend Bailey!”
About: I have been around pets all my life's and mostly cats/dogs. I became a pet sitter and pet groomer after high school when I noticed i loved being around animals all the time. I feel more relaxed with a dog than I do meeting a new friend. Dogs and cats have been there when I needed them most. While working with pets I got to know basic training, puppy care and senior care too in my grooming classes I went too. Over time I expanded to groom snalled pets such as ferrets, guinea pigs, and small birds. I wake up around 8-9am feed my fur babies and then eat breakfast. 10am to 12pm clean any mess they made or clean around house. 1-2pm feed and eat lunch. 3pm-4pm watch a show or movie and cuddle on the couch with fur babies. 5-6pm start feeding dinner. 6-7pm go for a walk around the block. 8-9pm get ready for bed. I love having fur babies with me. They are more loving then people sometimes. I've had a dog, a cat, a rabbit and a ferret. My dream is to have a small farm one day.

About: Hello! My name is Shawntel and I have been an animal lover for as long as I can remember. Growing up, my family had 2 dogs and 4 cats. Now I have three dogs that I couldn't imagine my life without them, with two of them being rescues. When I’m booked for house/dog sitting, my dad gets to stay and spend time with his grand-pups (: One is a German Shepard mix, another one is a Pitbull, Husky, Lab mix, and my newest addition is a golden doodle! The German Shepard is a senior so I am used to making accommodations for animals as well as giving mediations. It doesn't matter if they are young or old, big or small, boy or girl-- I love them all. I am currently a first grade teacher in Lake County which I recently took time away from dog sitting to focus on my new position. But now I’m back!! So I am available before and after the school day during the week for your animals and pretty free on the weekends. I am usually pretty flexible so if you need anything special for your animal, just let me know! I also dedicate my summers and school breaks to house/dog sitting! I truly believe that a well taken care of animal is a happy one, and who doesn't want their fur baby happy?! I look forward to meeting you and your sweet animal(s)!! Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Willoughby Hills
I can’t say enough great things about Katelyn. Not only did she accept a very last minute drop in request— but she went above and beyond every time she was at my home. My cats warmed up to her and by the appearance of all the drop in photos they really enjoyed her company. She was reliable and thorough with her check ins which I really appreciate while being away. Beyond that, she took care of my trash and my dishes as well, which was unexpected but greatly appreciated. Can’t wait to book with her again in the future!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Willoughby Hills. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
