About: Even though we do not have dogs ourselves, I grew up with many rescue dogs. Friends and neighbors have trusted me to care for their pups! I love to play with them, take them for long walks, or just cuddle. I am a full-time university professor. During the school year, I work from home on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. I am also available Tuesday and Thursday late afternoons evenings. I am happy to schedule weekend care. My summer (mid-May to mid-August) is much more open and flexible. I am available for multiple daily home visits, but not for overnights. Since I had a "super senior" cat who needed daily meds, I am punctual and diligent about care. I am excellent at paying attention to details. I give all animals attentive, loving care!
About: Hi my name is Yocheved, but a lot of people call me Yo, or Ava. I am an only parent to a wonderful, active middle schooler. We have a happy home full of love and laughter, and 2 kitties. After 14 magical years together, we lost our dog to old age, a couple years back. I miss the feel of having a dog around, but I know in my heart of hearts we are all a little older, and a little busier, and our home cannot house a new permanent four-legged resident. But I do not accept the lack of dogs in our lives! I said yes to dog sitting lately, and I have made so many new friends since. Hanging out with your dogs or cats when you're unable to be there- it's become a thing I look forward to in my home. I love walking the neighborhood or doing drop-ins to feed cats. Let me help you! I'm currently WFH part time, and tend to end my days on the early side, for parenting purposes. Because of this I'm pretty flexible and available throughout the week. I tend to all pets, like I would for my own. I cared for my dog through cancer, twice- so I'm pretty familiar with medicine, senior care, and all the extra effort needed for older or sick animlas. I love to walk, burn off energy, and snuggle. Happy to do light grooming (brushing), and send photos and videos throughout our time together!
“Madison is very reliable and was able to help out with walking Callie last minute for me. Ever since then, she is my go to dog walker. She takes great care of Callie, communicates well and always makes sure my house is secure when she leaves. I will definitely keep booking her for future walks! Callie says 10/10 recommended!”

“Aaron was amazing, he took a last-minute walk, was very kind, was very quick to get over to my dad’s, and I very much appreciate it. The dogs seemed to like him very well as well, and I will definitely reach out to him in the future for walks.”

“Celine is great!! She is very flexible and was able to help us out on short notice. My dog immediately loved her and she was very patient with him as he can be a bit difficult to walk. She is very kind and I definitely trust her with my dog! Thank you Celine!”

“Sandra is our go-to dog walker and is so great with our pup Rudy. We’re lucky to have found her! Very professional, always on time, and great communication. Couldn’t recommend her enough.”
“Molly has been so great for my dogs! She does a great job with my “problem” golden, Bella. I love the detailed report cards. It’s been such a relief for me to have her when I travel for work. She is Highly recommended.”

“Randy walked my dog today, and I have to say I was nothing more than impressed. I got multiple pictures and constant communication. I really appreciate Randy walking my dog in the time that I needed. I will be reusing Randy’s services whenever I need someone to walk my dog that I can trust. Thank you, Randy.”

“10/10 I would recommend Alyssa. She came and walked our beloved dog while we were out of town and our dog was home with gramma. She came and met him before booking to make sure they were a good fit. She was flexible with the schedule when the weather called for rain. She kept us updated with pictures and summaries of their walks. She also gave him his meds, treats and water.”

About: As a lifelong animal lover I have cared for dogs, cats and even rodents! For the past decade plus I had the honor and privilege to have cared for 2 dogs who lived fun and fulfilling lives to senior age. I am experienced with dogs who deal with reactivity, chronic illnesses, and mobility issues. I have acquired some basic training skills over the years including e-collar training. Please do not hesitate to send a message with details about your dog's specific needs. Together we can create the best care plan possible for your fluffy family members! I work remotely full time from home with a flexible schedule. Throughout my work day I diligently walk, water, feed, and play with any animals under my care. Pet needs can sometimes be unpredictable. My services can be made available to those in need of short-notice pet care. For those in need of pet boarding and short-term pet sitting I have a large fenced yard with plenty of toys, access to potty areas, and open access into my home. There is plenty of space for your dog to be comfortable and receive appropriate mental stimulation. Crate trained dogs are welcome though the majority of my experience is with non-crate trained dogs. I make a point to walk and play with your dog as much as necessary!
“Brittany has been a great addition to Corbin's routine. She comes daily to walk, feed and play with him. She provides me with super cute pictures and an update on how he did”

About: I have been pet sitting for the past 11 years with cozy at home pet sitting. I have had the pleasure of watching chickens, birds, cats, dogs, rabbits, fish, ect. I have two dogs at home Bowzer and Mazel. They are English chocolate labs and I am obsessed with them 🐾🐾 I am currently very available to help with pet sitting needs. I was a special education teacher for over 20 years and decided to change direction in my career. I have a furnished basement that I could board pets and a large yard for potty brakes and play. I have a friendly and safe neighborhood for walking. I'm available for drop-in visits in your home as well.
About: I’ve had pets my entire life and taken care of them by myself as well as helping friends and family care for theirs when they were away. My schedule is pretty open but changes day to day. I’m happy to try to work around your schedule! If I happen to be booked, I hope you keep me in mind next time! I am unable to have pets in my apartment unfortunately because my cat does not like other animals. I am only able to care for pets inside your home or outside.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
