“Flora was the loveliest to me and Carter. From the initial meeting she was so kind, gentle, attentive, and understanding with Carter. She wanted to know the details of his personality and the activities he likes. She left me detailed notes of how their day and evening went and sent professional like photos. She loves walking so I knew Carter would be well exercised, even in the colder weather (which Carter loves). Thank you for the wonderful care!”

“I found myself with an addition to our family when Lola was found sleeping on my porch for a few days. After two weeks of caring for her and with no luck in finding her owner. I had to make a choice of what to do with Lola during an upcoming spring break trip with my grandchildren, and family. Rover.com made the difference in surrendering my recuse when I met Andrea. From my initial contact with Andrea I was put at ease in leaving Lola in Andrea’s care. On the day I brought Lola to meet Andrea Lola’s separation anxiety was high when she thought she was being abandoned, but I know I was leaving Lola with the right person. During my trip Andrea’s messages and photos throughout the week allowed me to relax knowing all was well with Lola and enjoy my time with my family. When I returned to pick Lola up she had enjoyed a spa day, groomed and happy. Andrea’s home is Lola’s new home away from home. Andrea is Highly Recommended!!”

“This was my first time using Rover and Pattie and Paul were wonderful caregivers to my dog. They sent pictures and took him on walks and played with him. They kept me posted on daily events which made me feel like they truly cared about him. I highly recommend them!!”

“We are returning customers and when we were planning for an out-of-town trip, there was no question of where to go for boarding for our pup. I was confident that he would be in good hands and enjoying himself in a comfortable and fun atmosphere while we were away. We are very thankful for her great care--thanks again, Katie!!”

“Willow had a great stay! Even with strict medication protocols, Veronica and her family leaned the process and took great care of Willow. Beautiful big fenced in back yard to play. Will definitely have them sit again.”

About: We have each had dogs our entire lives. We currently have husky who is 1 1/2 years old and a 2 year old mini Australian Shepherd. They are both rescues. They are playful and enjoy being around other dogs. Free for plenty of walks and playtime during the day. I work from home with a very flexible schedule and will be able to keep a good eye on your dog. We have a pet friendly home inside and out. Our yard is fenced in. We have dog toys and balls all over. The dogs get plenty of exercise throughout the day.
“We love Tove and Gerald and most importantly our dog, Abby, loves them too! They took excellent care of our girl when we had to go out of town. They are such dog lovers. I knew she was in good hands. Abby can't wait to go back!”

“Sandra's attention to detail and nightly updates made for a worry free vacation. The only suggestion I might have for next time is it might be better to pick up excited babies, after greeting them in the backyard first, might help make for a smoother pickup. Thank you!”

“Angela was great with my dog shortie. Her dog colt is very sweet. She was very welcoming and listened carefully to all of my tips. She was super responsive and understood my anxieties about leaving my dog with someone.”

“They helped me out TONS by watching my Shih Tzu for about 6 days. I’ve never used Rover before, so I was a little hesitant at first. Everything went smooth and they were flexible on drop off & pickup times since we drove all day. My dog seemed extremely comfortable @ pickup and we got several pics throughout the week! I would definitely book with them again.”

About: I have a variety of pet experience. Most notably with dogs, I have fostered over 13 dogs in the last several years through Kane's Mission. I am sure to give your dog personalized attention and love and care they deserve! We live in a great walkable community in Shaker Heights. We are happy to take your dog on walks and visits to the park, so they can have a nice vacation too! I can currently adapt to most pet care schedules. I have a flexible schedule from home, and I am here to offer a seamless transition. I have fenced in yard with room to romp around, and I am located in a great walking community with a park nearby. I can also come to you reliably to let your dog out and given home play, social, and exercise time.

“Mel was the absolute best with our pup. She provided pics of Cali during our time away and even bathed her! Picking up a clean puppy was a real treat and far exceeded our expectations. Cali got to go on lots of walks and was completely worn out when she got home, which is quite an achievement for a lab!”

About: My name is Ivette and I currently study at Case. My husband is a USPS mail carrier and I work from home. Currently, I have one dog and two rescue cats🐾. During the pandemic, I spent a significant amount of time with my pets indoors where I had the opportunity to take care of two litters that my dogs had. I learned many skills during that time. With age, my dog became a senior dog and had to take oral medication so I am used to giving oral/topical medication to pets. I have been living in the Cleveland area since 2019 but I am originally from Texas. My current home has a fenced back yard and a good route for walks. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out.
“LeAndra was very communicative throughout the trip and took the time to share pictures and updates that put our mind at ease. She walked Hermione and made sure she felt loved even through the 4th of July fireworks. Would absolutely book again.”

“Jenna was so awesome!! Very communicative and responsive with scheduling, sent lots of pics and updates throughout each day, had a beautiful and safe home for my dog to play and relax. He even came home with a new toy!! Absolutely would recommend.”

“Beth and Edward took excellent care of my dogs while away on vacation. I received daily texts with pictures and how they were doing. With their expert care, I had no stress or worry about them being boarded. Thank you for treating them like their own dogs. I will not hesitate to use again and recommend them for your boarding needs! Thanks again!!!”

From the moment we met flora it was obvious that sheLoves what she does and that Toby would receive good care while we're on vacation.Flora sent many pictures and videos throughout the week and kept us informed of activities. I would use her again and recommend her to friends.
Our dog was taken care of so great by Lisa! I felt at ease leaving our dog with her. Lisa is so friendly and so kind to animals. Dug was able to warm up to her quickly while it was his first time with her. We got pictures and updates that made us feel relieved he was doing ok while we were gone. I will book with her again. 😃
Natalia took excellent care of our 4 month old puppy, Goose, when I was away for 10 days. It was nerve-wracking to have to be away from hime for so long being such a young pup, but my mind was put at ease with her daily updates and all of the photos she shared! It was reassuring to know he was being so well taken care of and loved by her and her family in my absence. I would hire her again in a heartbeat for dog care!

Cheryl was an amazing sitter! She was incredibly communicative, sent daily photos and videos, and took such great care of our dogs. She was also so accommodating when our flight home was delayed, which we really appreciated. We would absolutely book with Cheryl again and highly recommend her!

Brina took excellent care of my dog, Arlo, while I was away. She kept me updated with messages and photos, which gave me peace of mind throughout the stay. It was clear that she genuinely cared for him and made sure he got plenty of walks, attention, and affection. Arlo came home happy, healthy, and well cared for. I would absolutely trust Brina to watch him again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring dog sitter!

Our pup Charlie was in great hands with Alyssa and her crew for the last 10 days. From the start, Alyssa was responsive, communicative, and made us feel completely at ease while we were away. She shared frequent updates, photos, and videos, which gave us real peace of mind. It was obvious Charlie was getting plenty of attention, exercise, and playtime, and he looked happy and well cared for throughout his stay. We came home to a relaxed, healthy pup, and we’re so grateful for the care he received. We wouldn’t hesitate to leave Charlie with Alyssa again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring to watch their dog.

Mike took great care of our dog Honey. We made arrangements close to the date we needed care, and Mike gladly took on Honey. Routine pictures were really appreciated and Honey seemed quite content staying with Mike. Would definitely recommend and use his services again.

Sandra's attention to detail and nightly updates made for a worry free vacation. The only suggestion I might have for next time is it might be better to pick up excited babies, after greeting them in the backyard first, might help make for a smoother pickup. Thank you!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
