“Bri I wanna thank you so much for your boarding service! You are God sent. You loved on my baby, kept me informed, sent pictures and treated him like your own. You took great care of my Brawny! I am looking forward to booking with you again! I appreciate you!!!”

About: I’ve loved and cared for dogs since I was a child, and they have always been a very special part of my life. Back home in Thailand, I have four dogs who are truly part of my family. I cared for them from when they were little puppies through their senior years before I moved to the U.S. to study.🫶🏻 . I usually start my day around 7:30 AM, and one of the first things I’ll do is take your pup outside for a morning walk. On Mondays and Wednesdays, I have class for about three hours from 9am -12pm. After class, I’m available until around 4:00 PM, when I leave for my part-time job and get home around 8pm. On Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, I go to work from 11-2pm & 4:30-8pm. I do get a break from 2:30-4, so I’ll be able to come let your pup out for a potty break on those days & I’ll also be able to walk and play if weather permits. I’m off on Saturday & sundays 🏡 My Home & Safety I have a spacious home with a large, fully fenced yard, giving your pup plenty of room to play, explore, and enjoy time outside safely. My neighborhood is peaceful and dog-friendly, with many families, children, and dogs around, making it a great environment for walks and outdoor time. Your dog’s safety and comfort are very important to me. I want every pup staying with me to feel safe, relaxed, and loved — just like they’re at home. 🐶❤️ To keep my home and neighborhood safe and comfortable for everyone, I currently accept dogs who are: 💉 Up to date on vaccinations 🏠 House-trained 🐾 Spayed or neutered 🚨 Please let me know if your dog has any allergies, health concerns, or special needs I should know about. 🐶🤎
“Samantha was exceptionally kind and generous towards my little dogs. She made sure that they received their medication‘s, were showered with love, affection, and care, even sharing a bed with them. I’m exceptionally grateful for how she was able to give them their medications every day, and my dogs looked genuinely happy to be there. She was incredibly thoughtful and punctual with communication, and went the extra mile by staging photo shoots with my dogs every day.I’m grateful to Samantha and would gladly rebook her anytime.”

“Anna took such great care of my dogs. They’re both anxious but she made them feel comfortable. She sent me pictures and updates daily without me asking for them and I really appreciated that. I drove 30 min knowing they would be in good hands. I would def recommend Anna! Thanks so much! 🙏🏻”

“Mike took great care of our dog Honey. We made arrangements close to the date we needed care, and Mike gladly took on Honey. Routine pictures were really appreciated and Honey seemed quite content staying with Mike. Would definitely recommend and use his services again.”

“Austin was so great! After a horrible rover experience with another sitter we knew our Banks would be happy here! We got regular pictures of our sweet boy playing and looking like a dog on the best puppy vacation! He came back tired in the best way (which is saying a lot as Banks is a 5 year old Border Collie), and strangely smelling fantastic! We can not thank Austin enough for taking care of our big guy!”

About: My name is Ivette and I currently study at Case. My husband is a USPS mail carrier and I work from home. Currently, I have one dog and two rescue cats🐾. During the pandemic, I spent a significant amount of time with my pets indoors where I had the opportunity to take care of two litters that my dogs had. I learned many skills during that time. With age, my dog became a senior dog and had to take oral medication so I am used to giving oral/topical medication to pets. I have been living in the Cleveland area since 2019 but I am originally from Texas. My current home has a fenced back yard and a good route for walks. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out.
“Thank you Brittany for caring for our girl while we were on vacation. She was so relaxed and calm when we returned gave us piece of mind to see the picture of her relaxing with your family. "The Fleshman Family "”

“Andrea is amazing! She understands dogs and makes sure they are comfortable, safe, and happy. Plus she groomed our Samoyed before we picked him up -which is no easy task! Definitely booking with her again.”
“Flora was amazing as always with our fur baby! She gave her plenty of walks, even in the cold and snow, and welcomed Luna as a part of her family for the week they spent together. 10/10, we will definitely be asking Flora to watch her again!!”

“Takia to the rescue, i didn’t want to leave my Dog home for the Christmas Holiday and found out that she was available. I was so happy that my furbaby was able to stay with her where he receives lots of love. I always appreciate her services 💙”

“Lulu has a great time staying with Susan. I get great pictures and videos so I know Lulu is having fun. And that makes my trips more fun too! There are usually a couple of nice pups there so Lulu is never bored. Susan is my go to when I need to go out of travel.”

About: I’ve grown up with both dogs and cats my entire life, and caring for animals has always been something I genuinely love. I’ve pet sat for neighbors, friends, and family, caring for pets with different personalities, routines, and needs. Whether it’s walks, feeding, playtime, cuddles, or simply keeping them company, I always make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. What sets me apart is that I’m also a registered nurse. My career has made me compassionate, dependable, detail-oriented, and attentive to changes in behavior or health. I have a natural instinct for noticing when something doesn’t seem quite right, and I always prioritize safety and communication. I understand that pets are family, and I promise to treat yours with the same love, patience, and care I would give my own. I currently work part time, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to the pets I care for. Whether it’s going on walks, playing, keeping them active, sticking to their routine, or simply giving them companionship throughout the day, I’m happy to provide the care they need. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and will make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. Since I live in the city, I don’t have a fenced yard, but that doesn’t stop my dog from getting plenty of exercise and attention! I have one dog of my own and also frequently care for my neighbor’s dog. We go on regular walks throughout the day, visit nearby grassy areas for bathroom breaks, and enjoy trips to the park just up the street for extra exercise and playtime. I also have a crate available if your dog is crate trained or if you’d like them crated for rest, bedtime, or while I’m briefly away. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I always follow their routine as closely as possible. I make sure they’re fed on schedule, have fresh water, get plenty of exercise, playtime, bathroom breaks, and, of course, lots of love and attention. My goal is to help every pet feel comfortable, safe, and happy while their family is away.
“Tove & Gerry are the best. Our 10 year old Golden Doodle Marley had only been boarded once in her life. From the first minute that she walked into their home Marley was comfortable. They took great care of her, sent updates and pictures and cared for her like she was their own. Tove even slept with Marley one night when her tummy wasn’t feeling great. You couldn’t ask for two more wonderful people to watch your little one.”

“Pamela was great, she took my dog Pinky last minute and let her stay in her bed with her so she wouldn't have to interact with other dogs. On the last day that Pinky was with her, she had diarrhea all over her bedroom and all Pamela cared about was making sure Pinky was okay. Would definitely recommend her!”

“We’re really happy with Debra and how she handled everything for our dog while we were out of town. We arranged for a meetup before the stay to ensure this would be a good match. When I dropped off our dog there was an introduction to the other pets in her home so our pup could get acclimated. While we were away we received daily updates with photos and it looked like our pup was having a great time. Thanks for taking good care and we look forward to scheduling with you again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Willowick
This was our first time leaving our fur baby with a sitter for any length of time. He is a handful at times, but a loving snuggle bug at others. We were nervous, but our initial meeting with Sally gave us our first level of comfort. Upon dropping our guy off at Sally's, we felt good that he was in experienced, loving hands. Then the next morning, we got our first "report" - a series of photos with a full update on how everything was going. More updates and photos followed and we felt better each day about the care he was receiving. When we picked him up, we got a great feeling that all was well and we feel very comfortable booking with Sally again in the future. We are so happy that you meshed so well together. We definitely recommend Sally!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
