“Amazing dog sitter, would highly recommend. You can really tell that she and her husband care and love the dogs so much. So glad and reassured that Miso was in their hands for a week and had so much fun. Would book again for future trips!”

“Thomas was great. Our pup had such a great time and he treated him like family. Super responsive and accommodating and sent lots of photos. Will definitely bool Thomas again!”

“Anghella was amazing! She was available on short notice, she was close, and Obi was awesome too! There was a miscommunication on my end and she was able to accomodate my needs. After meeting Anghella I did not feel anxious or worried about leaving our pup with her. Thank you Anghella!!! We will be using her in the future.”

“Stacie and Doug are great with my pug Homer and it makes me feel better dropping him off that they will take care of him and love him just like I do while I am gone!”

“Bri I wanna thank you so much for your boarding service! You are God sent. You loved on my baby, kept me informed, sent pictures and treated him like your own. You took great care of my Brawny! I am looking forward to booking with you again! I appreciate you!!!”

“This is our pooches’ 2nd stay with Nicole... they had a blast! They love staying at Nicole’s and feel very at home there. Plenty of outside time running in the snow with Nicole’s sweet dogs and they also received lots of snuggles. I love how she sends pictures every day of the girls! Definite recommend!”

“Samantha was a kind and caring sitter! She sent lots of pictures and kept me updated on how my puppy was doing. She also has 2 small and very well behaved pups and this was great for socialization. Very happy to leave my puppy with Samantha.”

“Kyra was fantastic taking care of my mom's dog when she was in the hospital unexpectedly. He is a rescue and very skittish, but Kyra made him feel comfortable and right at home. She also sent photos and updates every day. Highly recommend Kyra for your furry family members!”

“I am from out of town and was on a 1.5 week long road trip. I needed someone to watch my dog for the weekend while I went to a wedding. I was worried about finding someone who would actually give her the attention she needs as I have a very highly active dog. Angel was great, she had a cage and bed my dog was able to use and had another dog to play with. She sent lots of pictures and stayed in contact / answered any questions I had. She was also super flexible with time pick ups changing and providing medication/keeping an eye on a cut for my pupp. Highly recommend Angel to keep your pets safe and you worry free!”

“Susan and her husband took very good care of my senior dog. He adjusted well quickly which is not normally his strong suit. She contacted me with any concerns or comments quickly which I appreciated. I highly recommend Susan and we definitely will be ising her again soon.”

“Thank you Takia for taking such great care of Charlie! We appreciated the communication and updates throughout the sit. He was clearly happy after spending time with your family. Thank you again!”

“This was my first time using Rover, although many friends us it or are hosts, and this was all new to my corgi, Paisley. We did a pre-visit to make sure she would fit in with Wendy’s two small dogs and her cat, which was great. She was a little overwhelmed and anxious for the first couple of days without me being there, with 2 more dogs boarding too but Wendy handled it well (lots of communication between us, crating for some downtime) and Paisley settled in.”

“Rhiana is a fantastic dog sitter and ensures a safe and fun environment for your fur baby. We have booked with Rhiana before and she is nothing short of awesome - picture updates often, great communication, and you can tell our puppy had a blast each day with her. We highly recommend booking with Rhiana , she will make sure your dog is well loved and cared for.”

“This was our first time using the service. Summer kept us up to date and send pics of our girl. She communicated with us in a timely manner and did an awesome job keeping us informed!”

“Jason was patient and thoughtful with our elderly dog. He made the accommodations we needed to meet his special needs. I was glad he was there for our dog while we were out of town!”

About: My name is Ivette and I currently study at Case. My husband is a USPS mail carrier and I work from home. Currently, I have one dog and two rescue cats🐾. During the pandemic, I spent a significant amount of time with my pets indoors where I had the opportunity to take care of two litters that my dogs had. I learned many skills during that time. With age, my dog became a senior dog and had to take oral medication so I am used to giving oral/topical medication to pets. I have been living in the Cleveland area since 2019 but I am originally from Texas. My current home has a fenced back yard and a good route for walks. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out.
“I am so happy that we found Austin to take care of our sweet Snoopy. It is clear that he truly cares for and bonds with the dogs. He is also great with updates and responds quickly to questions. Snoopy will definitely be (happily!) returning for more visits.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Mentor-on-the-Lake
Maria is truly wonderful, and I highly, highly recommend booking with her! She went above and beyond to take amazing care of our dogs. At first, we were nervous about the idea of leaving them for the first time ever, but we were able to enjoy our vacation because we knew our girls were in really good hands. From our meet and greet to daily updates and photos, to Maria’s attention to detail and professionalism, we had the best experience ever working with her. Thank you so much for taking such good care of our babies!

I was very impressed and loved the way Andrew care for our dog. He does a great job and gives you daily updates and pictures. He is also a very caring individual, our dog was hurt 2 days before we left and was limping along. He took great care of Bentley. I feel extremely comfortable with Andrew taking care of Bentley. I will be using him again. You should also.
We had such a wonderful experience with Lora! You can tell that she truly loves and cares for animals. Lora gave sent us updates and the cutest pictures of our pup while we were away. We had our dog for 5 years and this was the first time he was away from us so we were super nervous. However Lora’s care and love for animals put me an immediate ease. I would 100% recommend her!

Kona stayed with Madison for 3 weeks while we went to Thailand and she was great with her! Our girl is super active and loves to play and she had plenty of that, even in the freezing weather! Her two dogs are the cutest and we were also super happy that she allowed Kona to sleep in bed since she’s used to that with us. She stayed in touch with us and sent us lots of video updates. We will definitely be having Kona stay again in the future when we travel.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
