“Mel was the absolute best with our pup. She provided pics of Cali during our time away and even bathed her! Picking up a clean puppy was a real treat and far exceeded our expectations. Cali got to go on lots of walks and was completely worn out when she got home, which is quite an achievement for a lab!”

“Willow had a great stay! Even with strict medication protocols, Veronica and her family leaned the process and took great care of Willow. Beautiful big fenced in back yard to play. Will definitely have them sit again.”

“We are returning customers and when we were planning for an out-of-town trip, there was no question of where to go for boarding for our pup. I was confident that he would be in good hands and enjoying himself in a comfortable and fun atmosphere while we were away. We are very thankful for her great care--thanks again, Katie!!”

“Always a pleasure, and I’m so grateful to have Andrea as our dog sitter and extended family. She is very formative and communicative and always send pictures and updates. So I always feel secure.”

“They watched our energetic dog and he had a great time! We got plenty of pictures/ updates, and Tove bought extra treats for my dog when I accidentally shorted him a few cups for his last day! It was such a relief knowing our dog was in great hands! Would definitely recommend booking them for your needs”

“Sandra was more loving and caring to Baxter than I would have ever expected! I got great pics and emails of his stay each day. He seemed to be very happy and even made new friends! I will definitely try to use Sandra again and hi”

About: My name is Ivette and I currently study at Case. My husband is a USPS mail carrier and I work from home. Currently, I have one dog and two rescue cats🐾. During the pandemic, I spent a significant amount of time with my pets indoors where I had the opportunity to take care of two litters that my dogs had. I learned many skills during that time. With age, my dog became a senior dog and had to take oral medication so I am used to giving oral/topical medication to pets. I have been living in the Cleveland area since 2019 but I am originally from Texas. My current home has a fenced back yard and a good route for walks. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out.
About: We have each had dogs our entire lives. We currently have husky who is 1 1/2 years old and a 2 year old mini Australian Shepherd. They are both rescues. They are playful and enjoy being around other dogs. Free for plenty of walks and playtime during the day. I work from home with a very flexible schedule and will be able to keep a good eye on your dog. We have a pet friendly home inside and out. Our yard is fenced in. We have dog toys and balls all over. The dogs get plenty of exercise throughout the day.
“This was my first time using Rover and Pattie and Paul were wonderful caregivers to my dog. They sent pictures and took him on walks and played with him. They kept me posted on daily events which made me feel like they truly cared about him. I highly recommend them!!”

We are happy to take your dog on walks and visits to the park, so they can have a nice vacation too! I can currently adapt to most pet care schedules. I have a flexible schedule from home, and I am here to offer a seamless transition. I have fenced in yard with room to romp around, and I am located in a great walking community with a park nearby. I can also come to you reliably to let your dog out and given home play, social, and exercise time.
“This was our first time using the service. Summer kept us up to date and send pics of our girl. She communicated with us in a timely manner and did an awesome job keeping us informed!”

“We’ve been using Pamela for 5 years now with absolutely no issues. Our little dog Walter loves going to her house! Pamela is responsive, kind, and honest. She always responds quickly with her availability and she is almost ALWAYS available, even sometimes for last-minute bookings. We will return to Pamela again and again!”

“Karma did a wonderful job taking care of our dog. She was open to answering all my questions and very accommodating. This was my first time leaving our dog in someone else's care, so I was super appreciative of the pictures and patience she gave to us!”

“Lorie is terrific! The dogs were well cared for and safe in her home and fenced yard. We felt welcomed upon arrival and the dogs were ready for us with their things packed for departure.”

“This was my first time using Rover, although many friends us it or are hosts, and this was all new to my corgi, Paisley. We did a pre-visit to make sure she would fit in with Wendy’s two small dogs and her cat, which was great. She was a little overwhelmed and anxious for the first couple of days without me being there, with 2 more dogs boarding too but Wendy handled it well (lots of communication between us, crating for some downtime) and Paisley settled in.”

“Stephanie kept us updated on Karma regularly, and that put us at ease. She was quick to communicate when Karma had blood in his stools. Thank you Stephanie for taking care of Karma for 2 weeks!!”

Flora did a wonderful job taking care of my Goldie. She took her for many walks which I cannot do because of my age. She now has good leg muscles. As Goldie has a cataract in one eye, I worried about her finding a way around a new house, but with the pictures that Flora sent me, I saw that she was comfortable with Flora. I would highly recommend her.

Brina took excellent care of my dog, Arlo, while I was away. She kept me updated with messages and photos, which gave me peace of mind throughout the stay. It was clear that she genuinely cared for him and made sure he got plenty of walks, attention, and affection. Arlo came home happy, healthy, and well cared for. I would absolutely trust Brina to watch him again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring dog sitter!

Mike took great care of our dog Honey. We made arrangements close to the date we needed care, and Mike gladly took on Honey. Routine pictures were really appreciated and Honey seemed quite content staying with Mike. Would definitely recommend and use his services again.

Sandra's attention to detail and nightly updates made for a worry free vacation. The only suggestion I might have for next time is it might be better to pick up excited babies, after greeting them in the backyard first, might help make for a smoother pickup. Thank you!

I couldn’t be happier with the care and attention my dog received from Natalia! Roger spent the entire week with her, and it was clear that he was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. She was reliable, loving, and treated Roger like he was her own. I appreciated the updates and the peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter!

This was by far the most amazing new experience for our babies! We typically boarded deeno in a huge boarding facility, but wanted to try something new and a little more personal. We were unsure how our newest rescue would do, as we are not too familiar with him. Scrappy got his nails trimmed, and a bath, Deeno looks like he got one also. 🥰 Our doggies were so happy, loved and enjoyed meeting new friends! Cant wait to book again! You both are amazing, and your backyard is absolutely beautiful and spacious for them to roam freely! Thank you again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
