Pet care experience

Keeping you posted everyday!

Hi, I'm Daniel! I'm excited to care for your dog. I offer boarding, and house sitting, and I tailor every stay to your pet's normal routine. That means feeding on their schedule, daily walks (the longer the better!), plenty of playtime and cuddles, potty breaks as needed, and photo updates so you always know how they're doing. I've cared for dogs my whole life, from raising my childhood dogs as puppies through their senior years to most recently caring for my shelter boy for eight years until I said goodbye to him. In his later years he had heart issues, so I have hands-on experience giving both oral medication and topical treatments, and I'm comfortable watching over senior dogs who need extra attention. Nothing brought me more joy than the time I spent with him, and I'll treat your dog with that same love and care. I work from home with a flexible schedule, so your dog is never alone for long stretches. I have a large private yard for play and a walkable neighborhood with sidewalks for daily strolls. I'll stick to their routine so they feel secure the whole time.

Daniel has watched our dog Worm multiple times now and we couldn’t recommend him more. He’s reliable, communicates well, and clearly just gets dogs. Worm can be a ball of energy, but Daniel is patient with her and always sends updates so we’re never left wondering how things are going. He’s flexible with scheduling and treats Worm like his own. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy who actually cares about your pet, Daniel is your guy.

Daniel is a very responsible pet owner and took wonderful and loving care of his own rescue dog. I highly recommend Daniel as a highly responsible caregiver who will give the utmost attention to your pet.

Schedule

Because I work from home and make my own schedule, pet care fits naturally into my whole day rather than being squeezed around it. I take regular breaks for walks, playtime, and potty trips, and there’s almost always someone around to offer attention and companionship. My flexible schedule means we can stick to your dog’s normal routine for feeding, walks, and rest, and give extra care when a pet needs it.

Safety, trust & environment

I follow your dog’s normal routine for feeding, walks, and rest so they feel secure. In our home they’ll enjoy a private yard, a walkable neighborhood, and constant company. I never take dogs out without a leash and collar, and unless otherwise told, I'll make sure to keep your dog away from others.

A typical day

Every dog is different, so I take my cues from your pup. For high-energy dogs, that means long walks through our sidewalk-lined neighborhood, fetch and zoomies in my large private yard, and games of tug or hide-and-seek with their favorite toys. For dogs who prefer a slower pace, it might be a gentle stroll, a good sniff walk, some sunbathing in the yard, and plenty of couch time and belly rubs

The more I know upfront, the more comfortable your dog will be. Before a stay, I like to understand their daily routine, including feeding times and portions, walk and potty schedule, and when they typically nap or wind down. I also want to know about any medications or medical conditions, along with your vet's contact information just in case. Beyond the basics, I want to know your dog's personality. Are they nervous around strangers, other dogs, or loud noises? Do they pull on the leash, have any resource guarding around food or toys, or a history of escaping fences? What are their favorite treats, toys, and games? Any commands they know or house rules you'd like me to keep, like staying off furniture? I always recommend a meet and greet beforehand so your dog and I can get comfortable with each other and you can walk me through anything specific. My goal is to keep their routine as close to normal as possible so they feel safe and at home the entire time.
