“Great sitter - dealt with an unexpected Heath issue (UTI) w/ my dog during the latest visit and was awesome (communicated well, had a plan, and took care of the pup). Recommend!!”

“Stacie and Doug took such great care of my chihuahua Luna while she stayed with them for a long weekend! They sent me an update daily. Luna can be timid especially in new situations, but after one visit/meet and greet she seemed comfortable there.”

“Rachel was great, she made it convenient for me to drop my dog off for boarding, and when I picked him Up he jumped over to Rachel and gave her a big hug, I think he wanted to stay with her, he might like her more than me!!”

“Takia to the rescue, i didn’t want to leave my Dog home for the Christmas Holiday and found out that she was available. I was so happy that my furbaby was able to stay with her where he receives lots of love. I always appreciate her services 💙”

“Jason gave us so much peace of mind while we were away for the weekend! Regular updates and photos of our dog and was super flexible when our pickup time was changed. I was so happy when I read that he volunteers at his local animal shelter because that really shows how much he cares for dogs & that he can handle all types of dogs!”

“Amazing dog sitter, would highly recommend. You can really tell that she and her husband care and love the dogs so much. So glad and reassured that Miso was in their hands for a week and had so much fun. Would book again for future trips!”

“Daniel and Rachel were absolutely incredible Rover hosts! We boarded our energetic beagle with them for 11 days, and we couldn’t have asked for better care. From day one, they made us feel completely at ease with regular updates and daily pictures that showed just how happy and well cared for our pup was. They clearly went above and beyond—making sure she had plenty of playtime, consistent walks, and lots of attention to match her high energy. It was obvious she was having a great time and getting the engagement she needs. We’re so grateful for the love and care they gave her while we were away. I would highly recommend Daniel and Rachel to anyone looking for reliable, attentive, and genuinely caring hosts. We would definitely book with them again!”

“Sarah took phenomenal care of our senior dog who has multiple health concerns. I felt very comfortable leaving him in her care. Sarah has jumped to the top of our list of sitters.”

“Brandon was the absolute best! Our little yorkie had the time of his life and we got tons of cute pics! Bringing our dog home he looks like he got a good vacation in as well! Brandon was great with communicating with us and was super understanding to all our craziness! Cannot recommend enough!”

“We had a great experience with Chelsea! She was very friendly, easy to communicate with, and took wonderful care of our dog while we were away. We appreciated the updates and could tell our pup was happy and well cared for. It gave us peace of mind knowing our dog was in good hands. We would definitely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter!”

“Katlyn did a wonderful job watching my dog. She was quick to respond to messages, sent lots of picture updates and it was evident she truly cares about animals. We will definitely be using her again!”

About: I truly love animals, my favorite being dogs. i am with dogs every day all day.I have lots of experience with raising puppies and caring for dogs of many sizes and temperaments. I have owned snakes, lizards, turtles, fish;etc. so I also have experience with small animal care along with house sitting. Though I am not certified I train dogs for fun. (Basic obedience & tricks) I have even been told by a professional that I am really good at training dogs. I am a certified dog groomer. Some may say that I am a great bather and my grooms are neat. After working at an animal hospital for 2yrs I know a thing or two about pet care & what to do in an emergency so no worries your pets are completely safe in my care. Pet care is my life from the time that i wake up from the time i lay my head. i can do this in my sleep. (: in my home every dog is given the same amount of love. i do not have a fenced in yard however i take leash safety very seriously. we walk daily and i have never had a dog escape. i have tie out long enough to go where they'd like within the safe zone. we also have play time within my spacious finished basement that also has a fully stocked mini grooming salon on the opposite side. as far as drop ins in the clients home whatever care sheet you provide is what will be followed to the T.
About: I have a variety of pet experience. Most notably with dogs, I have fostered over 13 dogs in the last several years through Kane's Mission. I am sure to give your dog personalized attention and love and care they deserve! We live in a great walkable community in Shaker Heights. We are happy to take your dog on walks and visits to the park, so they can have a nice vacation too! I can currently adapt to most pet care schedules. I have a flexible schedule from home, and I am here to offer a seamless transition. I have fenced in yard with room to romp around, and I am located in a great walking community with a park nearby. I can also come to you reliably to let your dog out and given home play, social, and exercise time.
“Another great stay with Roza and family! They are so welcoming to our fur baby Zeus and even celebrated his birthday with him while we were out of town to make him feel special! I’ll be booking again, she’s a favorite!”

“Austin took great care of Lucy and Josie, including administering medications. They settled in quite quickly with him and his family—their dogs were very welcoming of our two. Thank you Austin! We had a great trip knowing our babies were well cared for.”

“When I tell you this ENTIRE FAMILY made me and BABY feel welcomed. The house was clean and the fact that baby is not around other dogs, she warmed up to the house dog who was very friendly btw. I would definitely recommend this family for boarding overnight, PLUS I received real updates (pics) often during Baby stay. I was very pleased.”

“Flora was amazing. She kept a written track of our furry baby’s activities. We are so impressed and will definitely recommend our friends and family to her. Thank you again for taking care of our little girl.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
