“I feel so at ease when I take Kiki to Stacie and Dougs. She gets along so well with their pup and I get plenty of updates! I really appreciate everything they do for her.”

“Kyle and his partner were great with our dog over a long holiday weekend! It was our first time with Kyle, and he listened to us about all our dog's quirks and needs. We got frequent updates from him and photos! Our dog got multiple walks every day, lots of couch cuddles, and all of our concerns were addressed! We will definitely be using Kyles services again!”

“Rachel was great, she made it convenient for me to drop my dog off for boarding, and when I picked him Up he jumped over to Rachel and gave her a big hug, I think he wanted to stay with her, he might like her more than me!!”

“Takia to the rescue, i didn’t want to leave my Dog home for the Christmas Holiday and found out that she was available. I was so happy that my furbaby was able to stay with her where he receives lots of love. I always appreciate her services 💙”

“Brendan & Sarah were absolutely fabulous! They treated my pup like their own and sent me updates and pictures…i am so sad I found them at the end of my time in Cleveland because i definitely would have been using them regularly!”

“Angela was an absolutely fantastic sitter for our dog! From the moment we met her, we could tell she genuinely cares about animals. She was attentive, responsible, and kept us updated with daily photos and messages, which gave us much peace of mind while we were away. Our dog was happy and well cared for when we returned. Angela followed all of our instructions perfectly, including feeding instructions and walks. We will definitely be booking her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy sitter!”

“Brandon is Excellent and we highly recommend him. Our dog ran away from my sisters house last March vacation (got her back after 4 days in the wild) so we were a bit nervous leaving her with anyone for fear she might escape again. Brandon assured us he would always keep Skyler on a leash and be vigilant about keeping doors shut and not letting her escape. Skyler spend 8 days with Brandon and everything went great! We received daily pics and notes which gave us peace that she was well cared for and safe. Brandon even let us meet with him TWICE at no charge for an hour to let Skyler get to know him including 45 min where I left and came back to get her while he took her on a walk in the neighborhood. Brandon gave Skyler her seizure pills daily and Skyler came home happy and healthy. Cannot recommend Brandon enough, this guy really cares about our dog as much as we do. We will use him again.”

“We had a great experience with Chelsea! She was very friendly, easy to communicate with, and took wonderful care of our dog while we were away. We appreciated the updates and could tell our pup was happy and well cared for. It gave us peace of mind knowing our dog was in good hands. We would definitely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter!”

“We had to drop off our dog Ollie due to a family wedding! Austin was a great communicator and was very flexible with us during the wedding week. Ollie seemed to have a very good time with his dogs as well! Thank you so much!”

“Lillian is for sure a dog whisperer! She sent me a update each day with pictures. Blondie remembered her from our meet and greet! I love the experience! I will return!!”

She is a great communicator and very caring, making sure Gary felt comfortable and helping him to settle into a new environment when he was feeling a bit anxious. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
